Christmas Day was Great

being around people who truly welcome your arrival and value your being is a powerful thing on earth. went to church and enjoyed lightening up the candle and the tradtional songs being sung and played made it something else. the weather was a trip, but it calmed down. watchin g football and basketball and it felt good. ate plenty of food and just felt good. i wish for peace and warmth for all souls in the Universe. great to share those special moments and memorys where you see smiles, laughter and the joy of celebrating the purpose and gift of all gifts.

now don't get me wrong there racist in the democratic party as well, the old dixiecratics,etc.. however the republican party has it down pat and the latest hater is Ron paul who got scared of his past ways when confronted with things he stood for back in the day were brought to light in the latest townhall meeting which he went side left very quickly. Milt Romney got his issues as do the others. Problem is unless folks act politically Correct or somehow act like they are connecting with people beyond there own block, ain't no way they stand a chance against President Obama. not only are the canidates for the replublican party don't stand a chance to win,but they also come off racist and out of date with things. Ron Paul is a Jokster if there ever was one.

NFL football over the weekend brought it

the world champions Green Bay Packers suffered there first loss and looked very ordinary against a average Kansas city chiefs team. if the chiefs had a little bit of a explosion the game would have been a blow out easily. very telling.

the inndianapolis colts won there first game of the season. life without Payton Manning just talking about this season seems like a horror movie for them. just two years ago they were undefeated through 13 games,fast forward to two years later and they were winless headed into sunday's game against the titans.

suddenly the Philidelphia eagles are back in the mix. and alot depends on what dallas and the new york giants do in the NFC east over the next two weeks.

the biggest story of the weekend though was Brady versus tebow New England versus Denver and while the Patriots defense looks bad most of the time, they clamped down and made Tebow look like a decent 3rd stringer. Tebow is a nice cat, however he ain't no Quarterback and certainly not when he is on the same field as Tom Brady. Brady is the Best QB that I have ever seen and I'm somebody who saw Joe Montana in his prime, but Brady is on a different level, he truly just brings it and does his thing year in and year out.

the final two weeks of the NFL Season outta be interesting and just as i thought it would be.

College student tripping out in Library

so i saw the video of the young lady that hushed fellow college students at the california college library and i didn't get what was so controversal. librarys are fairly quiet, but the days where you go without hearing a pin drop are in movies, not in reality. i understand the the young lady making her point, however after a while it felt like she was putting on a show and if she was truly bothered then why didn't she seek out the librians who work there or administrators and say have them to tone it down,etc...?? Problem solved as to walking around going at anybody if they so much as breathed or sneezed. its a two sided topic and both sides have valid arguments, but nothing in the video suggested that anything intentional was going down, however some rather not so kind remarks were said and I find that very sad.

Albert Pujols going to LA and Chris Paul not??

baseball and basketball was making much noise in LA for a minute today, news got out that former St Louis Cardinals All Star and Great Player Albert Pujols signed a new 10 year contract with the LA ANgels. meanwhile in Basketball news the LA Lakers made a trade for Point Guard All Star Chris Paul, however that deal has gotten denied.

now Pujols going to the Angels is a Great move by them and since they have watched division rivals Texas get to the world series for two straight years this is a smart move.

in the NBA the CP3 move would have been great and interesting except it came at worse time. i mean the league and players just got over a 5 month old strike and one of the issues was about balance of power and you just can't have a team like the Lakers rack up and not give other teams a chance at going after a Chris Paul. going to be interesting how Lamar Odoms and Pau Gasol respond knowing they were traded and now they have to report back to Lakers camp, tommorow oh to be a fly on wall and will Chris Paul show up to Hornets camp?

i don't have a problem with Chris Paul's trade being vetoed because the NBA needs balance and to show the fans that every team has a chance to win, even if David Stern has pretty much acted like a fix or so has been going on for years.

why i watch less tv these days

i guess its a trip, there was a time when tv was a feel good friend, however these days it seems like a enemy of the mind and with so much reality tv, shows with DNA, Shows that try to out horror you and just silly dumb garbage, it really doesn't carry that much sway. too many music award shows and too many corperate tie ins which make things rather dull. and i miss the basics. i was thinking about this the other night,that aside from a few things, i probably spend oh about at most less than 20 hours a week on tv. and if that seems high well there was a time when that number was closer to a 120. not just work and other things dominating my time, but the fact ain't much on to keep me glued. and i find shows on the internet sometimes and even then i'd rather be listening to music. quality is missing.

say what,9 year old boy suspended for calling teacher cute?

in the are you tripping file of the newspaper a young black boy in Carolina got suspended recently for calling a teacher cute. the teacher heard the boy tell a fellow classmate that he thought the teacher was cute. i was like is this school tripping or just racist and dumb? i thought of Emmitt Till and thinking back how he got lynched for whistling at a white woman as a young teenager. and in this day and age of political correctness some folks trip out way too hard and this ain't even news or worthy of even being known on the real. now if the boy and his classmate had talked about jacking another kid and bullying somebody would the teacher have been as quick to say something? real issues need to be addressed, but this one is in the tacky turkey file. this is called Sexual harrassment in 2011. if he had have winked at her, what then the gas chamber? this is truly a mess and a half.

well this should be interesting, Madonna is offically announced as the half time entertainment for the Super Bowl in febuary. Madonna is a important Artist and Live performer. hard to believe she has been around for almost 30 years. time sure flies and yet Madonna keeps a hit song or something new going on, regardless of where you come down on her or think about her. she will perform all of her hits and she should be a interesting choice and i expect alot of theatrics and her just being Madonna. back in the day from 83-94 Madonna kept a cut that i liked, but its been years since i have really dug anything by her, still in her prime and peak she was able to adapt and keep a cut and do her thing. Britney Spears to Lady Gaga and others in between owe a debt to her stylings and musical landscape then and now. Madonna hopefully will be entertaining. she will make you look though regardless.

World Aids day

everybody in some form or capactiy is impacted by this horrible diesase and it is the date that brings forth remembering those who have died over the years and from it. hopefully one day there will be a cure and that it won't affect as many people as it once did. its not a they diease it is a human being diesase that effects all walks of life and i hope that people continue to be educated about it and not pass it off as them or they type of situation, because it has spread to all regions. the reality and I have always said this, is that nobody truly knows how it is able to enter. because cases have shown rare occurances and it wasn't what was stated as the usual route. prayers and thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted and effected by this diease and continue to pray and remember today as national Aids day.

Shaq is my boy, but he is tripping about Kobe

Shaquille O 'Neal is tied with magic Johnson as my personal favorite NBA player ever and for me they are the best two that i have ever seen play and i will debate anybody on that, but Shaq just put out a book and he is saying recently that Kobe Bryant is the greatest laker and while Shaq and Kobe had a feud that rivals the best soap operas on tv, the respect as players is always there. now while they have respect for one another, something about the timing of this seems typical Shaq PR. Kobe ain't seeing Magic, Kareem or prime time Shaq out in LA. now if Kobe wins a ring or two more than perhaps, but he just never dominanted like those cats did. Kobe though is a top 5 Laker though. Jerry West is there and Elgyin Baylor is there.. Shaq never gets his due for what he did there, but he was huge there. Kobe is a Great player and One of the Greatest Ever, but naw he ain't even the best player ever on his own team, gotta dissgree with the Disel on this one in a real way.
