dreamed and put a mental pen to mental pad

singing out loud lyrics and rewind back to lesser evil

reflections in the mirror that took away negative

phrasing and carved out a wall that painted black

with hope and determination and urgency

why i laugh and refuse to grin

cue the tape and erase all doubt

bring forth a dream and everything awaits
