what lurks behind the curtain of life?

can you walk in peace or do you march in demonstration

from injustices and itchy fingers and voices that question

your very fabric and foundation that made you who you are?

when life and everything in between leads onto other aspects

have i been made better or do i still sacrifice as i seek truth

and inner salvation? when race and its outer limits

to a mind who refuses to see beyond surface to sticks and stones

and left to defend why and what they don't even know
