Andy Rooney is retiring from 60 minutes

so this coming sunday marks the end of the Andy Rooney era on 60 minutes. now Rooney to me is why we have blogs and commentary segements. now he was a Grinch to quite a few people and to others just spoke his mind and told it like it is. I wish there were more people like him because his writing and commentary speak directly and his dry humor which is comical is much needed even more than before. he has a way of speaking to you that makes you understand and then question what he is talking about. he pulls no punches and in a classy move 60 minutes says there isn't any replacement and that he might come back from time to time to do a segement. you don't replace that kind of level of honest. he is the last of his breed in presenting something that truly makes you think and feel connected and yet question what its all about again.

the horror of the Michael Jackson trial

now Dr. Conrad Murray is on trial and personally i see a hung jury or a not guilty because there is reasonable doubt involved and I just don't see anything really being any other way, though Dr Murray was a bit reckless where Michael Jackson was concearned, however MJ green lighted certain things and the tragidy that came thereafter. now the real tragedy is hearing the Audio tape of MJ sounding many years older than he was and also the picture of him on the Hospital bed dead. that is way over the line by the Media. news sensationalism 101 in full effect and nobody will get a fair trial or even really want to touch this case. nobody wins in this situation because it is so sad and tough to watch and hear folks speak on.

in death as well as Being Alive Michael Jackson never was able to be in peace and now this case is about to get ugly and there is no shame by the media and the press.

New York Yankees are in the post Season and Boston isn't

loving it after last night seeing how the Yankees not only are in the post season but the Boston red sox's lost in baltimore last night and with tampa bay beating the Yankees last night it eliminated the red sox's and that feels good. now next year with the new rules there will be an additional team representing in the post season, but for now as it stands Boston is home bound and that is wonderful. as a New York Yankee fan it is always a look of Oh No when I see Red Sox fans and there caps. alot of bandwagon fans over the past decade and that is so wrong.

looking forward to the Baseball post season and i want the Yankees to go and get another ring. Derek jeter and Marino Riveria each accomplished incredible Career Milestones this year respectively and now its time to go get some more Jewlery.

the post season looks good with a Hot Detriot team in the east, a hot Milwaulkee team out in the national league, and the dangerous Philidelphia Phillies and Arizonia Diamondbacks. in the American league texas and tampa bay.

but the good thing is Red Sox nation is mumb and sitting at home watching LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sly Stone should not be homeless

nobody should be homeless anywhere period, but especially a creative minded Genius as Sly Stone. I mean hearing this news was like WOW! i mean this Man Musically changed the course of Music and has inspired so many Artists in alll genres of Music and all racial backgrounds and classes. back in 1984 Michael Jackson Bought Sly and the Family stone's musica catelog and MJ made sure that Sly was taken care of and thanks to MJ, putting the music into commericals, films,etc.. it brought a whole new generation of ears to the Great music which also influenced and inspired MJ when he was fronting the Jackson 5 back in the day. hearing about Sly Stone living in his van was so weird and out of place to me. now he has his demons and beliefs about alot of things, however this Man outta be living comfortable in a area where he growing older gracefully as to getting by. something about this just ain't right.

X Factor came on tonight

well america got the world premier of the much hyped and over everything else you can imagine. the big question isn't on stage but will Simon cowell and Paula Abdul make anoter hit show together? and you have LA Reid on board. going to be some interesting encounters on and off the stage. alot of theater and drama and of course the laughs are a mile long. how will this show stack up against American Idol is the big Question? not to mention Coke for Idol and Pepsi for X Factory. alot of compelling storys on night one and looking forward to tommorow nights show. still wondering how much it will differ from Idol and will it keep Simon's unbreakable knack for a hit show in tact over here? so many people want to sing and yet so few really get that chance and you always know when somebody has that "IT" stay tunned. the show is finally here.

football season is back and it is great

good mood that football is back and my Buffalo Bills are off to a 2 and 0 start. its just great to have the best sport in America back on sundays. players going and getting at it. the NFL is just the real deal and always has been for me and in all honesty i wish the season sometimes would never end. out of all the Professional Sports this is the one i truly don't like going without seeing. on any given sunday anybody can rise to the occasion and play out of there minds. now it is along season and yet it goes by so fast and before you know it is the post season. all the hype and build up for one sunday after the next is just incredible. drama and the turn of events lead us into an even greater season of the unknown and more questions. bring it on. we are ready for Football.

Lionel B.Richie Musical Genius

been grooving to Lionel B.Richie a whole lot lately and i have always respected his greatness as a Artist both in the commodores and solo. He is musically an incredible Hybrid of styles much like what Ray Charles, stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson who were able to succesfully able to combine different musical genres and yet maintain there instrument. Lionel B.Richie always moved me with what I call life storys to music. he was very direct about his thoughts and feelings when it came to affairs of the heart, mind and soul. his honesty and directness was cool. he had this cold Pimp Sly Rap and yet he was like a Preacher. I think and feel that Lionel Richie had to have dug him some Richard Pryor's Mudbone alter ego role because Lionel Richie has this cold dual thing going and yet it is smooth and cold at the same time. the Man wrote some of the greatest songs ever and his work is timeless. you know his chord progressions and Grooves. you know when you have heard his songs because they just speak to the soul and inner foundation.

He is Underrated to me and he should be a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer twice as a Member of the commodores and then solo. he has made an incredible impact as a Ambassador and charity work. great live artist and he has won every Music award around the world etc..
