Miami Hurricanes and the saga at the college
by now media outlets have all reported on the Miami Hurricanes football program and the Ponzi cat who hustled money to the players,etc.. he is doing his Jose Canseco by naming names and putting it out there and in truth this is the most open secret about big business and college football. College football as much as I love the game and enjoy the battles weekly ain't nothing but a hustle. the kids deserve to be getting paid, because the corporate suits are making so much bank on this bowl games, jerseys and the tradition of bringing in said players. all them major schools do it, no big surprise there, unless you don't pay attention to it.
not really much of a bomb, only that it finally came out, i mean everytime you turn around a major college has violated some rules, Ohio state is still reeling, USC,etc... now this one in Miami is pretty heavy and yet there is bound to be more to come, because Players get gifts and have agents and lets be real if the players got a cut off the money, and the schools weren't Pimping them for Profit so badly then i'd say ok maybe so and so player went to far, but all the recuriting tactics and whatnot and only to not pay these players who might have a life threatening injury.
the schools brag about there perks, but what happens when said player's college education is done and there are no more games? all the money made and nothing there.
think these schools don't brag about past alumi members and name drop? what went down in Maimi isn't shocking or surprising at all, matter of fact it fits. i mean the school welcomes and embraces Swagger and in your face winning at all costs and to expect them to be acting anything less than that would be comical.
Sex, class,Race, Politics all part of selling a school and reputation.
they don't call it the "U" for nothing.
college politics on its players makes no sense. when Lebron James was in High school he had a Hummer, but you mean to tell me that as Important as Reggie Bush was to USC, he is to only be rolling in a Pinto??
players need to be paid and the education needs to be ensured, however big business has blurred the lines and yet they want to brign sanctions down when the rules were not in place truly in many a time.
