What My Daddy Saw

He didn't see a President Obama

He didn't see a OJ Verdict of Not guilty

He didn't see a Black Supreme Court Jusice

He didn't see a world that welcomed a neighborhood

of all Races and Faces

He saw a Colored Water section which didn't

mean Kool Aid

He saw His Parents being told to obey Jim Crow and the laws

of the Land which wasn't that long ago

can you see the future any differently through those eyes?
