pie in the sky and i was dreaming

butterfly came by my window and i stood still

no pain or any type of thrill and the dreamy moments

were a blur and a long lasting after thought

so i prepared to wind down and ease myself and re-claim

moments that had passed me by like a exit sign in the dark

where was the waves headed and why were they behind me

all of a sudden as i kept asking myself

then it dawned on me that they were expressions that had already

acknowledged me and had left me

super bowl sunday

well it is super bowl weekend a holiday weekend quote unquote that has all the usual situations of friends, family and a good time. the cardinals and the steelers battling it out for who will be the champion. interesting football season to say the least and now it has come to this. it will be a interesting Super Bowl and of course the commericals and entertainment with Bruce Springsteen performing at Half time will be interesting. President Obama will have a interview with NBC before the game. it should be a memorable game to say the least as always. every Super Bowl has its own unique flavor and this one should be no different. the steelers are 7 point favorites,but the Cardinals are a interesting bunch and the game should be quite interesting. i'm looking forward to it and the whole nine. enjoy and keep the food and beverages a coming.

long, long,long overdue in America and it feels so good to me. never thought i'd see the day this historic moment would ever happen. america is long overdue for this and it brings so much emotion to my heart and mind. i feel that america still has a long ways to go, but this is very progressive and i hope there are more future Barack Obama's that will make the dream a reality. Paint the White House Black and do it up because so many Black people throughout the history of time have done and paid dues. it is time to acknowledge and celebrate a long overdue victory but also push for even more and get the most for the future because our leaders of the next generation have dreams as well and the dream must also become a reality there as well. never doubt anything thanks to President Obama.

depending on the time of day and in every kind of way

where must i turn and where must i roam to figure out

what has been started and what will lead to the next

talk about a day and time long overdue? talk about a nation that needed to feel unity? the streets of Washington DC were lit up in ways that all the christmas lights in the world couldn't possible do full justice. it was a very cold, cold,cold day but the pressence of President Barack Obama was like instant hot chocolate to many a soul from all walks,backgrounds,countrys,etc.... of life and it was a feeling of joy and victory. moments like these are once in a lifetime and transcend so much. from DR King having a dream til this day making one of the many dreams a reality. tonight the Obama family is making a whole world feel good and unity is in the air. this is a wonderful feeling and this shows that with hard work and dedication any and everything is possible. you have to believe. it is a wonderful time despite all of our problems.

today is a historical day first time ever a Black President and the whole World is feeling united. today marks a changing of time and the power of believe hard work and what can happen when you believe in yourself and hardwork. many famous faces and many important civil rights leaders, marchers known and unknown are all united to show love and Support for President Obama. this is a moment that I'd never thought I'd see in my lifetime and i can forever cherish this moment and it is a reality. the power of seeing President Obama on the steps of Washington,DC. a nation is united and coming together. Dr Martin Luther King Jr and other Important leaders paved the way and opened the door for the historic moment that happens on Tuesday January 20nth 2009. a new time has begun and time for a change.

well today it's Arizonia Cardinals versus the Philideliphia Eagles in the NFC and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game. it's for the right to match up in a couple of weeks for the Super Bowl. now sentiments are with Donovan Mcnabb of the Eagles to go all the way and win the Championship,but I would like to see Arizonia go to the Superbowl. in the NFC it doesn't matter to me per se,but I would kinda like to see the Steelers go. the interesting thing about this year is that the final 4 teams aren't what I'd call great teams but good to really good. alot of parity which is the center of modern football today. so it's a day of getting friends and having a party and whatnot but the super bowl is gonna be the party of all partys.we shall see how it finishes up.

President Obama and the party starts tuesday

i'm so happy and glad the George Bush era is over with. tired of him rambling about what he did in 8 years. what did he do again? I will never forget Katrina and that is all i got to say about Bush and the un-necessary war we have been in for years. President Obama is a breath of fresh air and he carrys himself as such. Monday is Dr King's National Holiday and the light of Dr.King's dream is going to be felt strongly come tuesday. no other weekend will have as much Historical impact as this one and it feels good to see this up close and personal. i never thought as a Black Man that i would see in my lifetime a Black Man in the White House leading our Nation. glad to feel the spirit of a Nation that is embracing change and truly wants a new direction.

Captain Chesley B. Sullenburger the Pilot

what an incredible accomplishment the Pilot did with landing the Plane on the Hudson River yesterday. He saved not only himself but also a 150 lives. the spirits and the universe were in line with the Pilot as he made a incredible stop on the Hudson. hearing about the story was truly incredible and it goes to show that there are alot of incredible Human beings on this planet that are truly about the better for all of mankind. it was a refreshing story after so often than not most of the news that is presented from the media has often a negative spin,but this is wonderful to hear and read and the Pilot did a fantastic job and he will always be acknowledged for this act.

the return of american idol

another season and a new face on the set and pretty much the same ole song and dance.for myself auditions are always more interesting than the actual show because it is a popularity contest and after a while you already know how some things are gonna go. Idol took a bit of a beating over the past few years because the show has gone more for other things than the actual talent being presented and while there has been some interesting talents to emerge over the past few years for my money's worth Idol peaked during it's first four years and the past four years have been patchy at best. still it is a ratings winner and since everybody and there big toe granny likes and loves to sing well it's open mic. we will see how it all plays out again.

Coach Tony Dungy retires

and talk about a class act? I mean not only is Tony Dungy a Super Bowl Winning Head Coach, the first African-American Head Coach to do so, but he accomplished so much no matter where he was. he had the tampa Buccaneers in place when they eventually won there super bowl some years back. he came over to the Indianapolis Colts and with Payton Manning as his Quarterback he brought them to a championship a few years back. Tony Dungy has books and he has touched so many lives and he has meant so much to so many people. He is a rarity in not only sports but everyday life and we need more people like Mr.Dungy.

award show which is more of a fashion show which is more of what was said type of show,etc... the usual hollywood pow wow that is at times over the top and excessive and way overblown. i mean how often is the winner even remembered or acknowledged as much as what said person said or wore again? and it wasn't that long ago when the writers and Producers strike made the show a bad shell of itself and it was a very short forgettable event. but needless to say memory is short where dollars and cents are concearned and when there is a event to hype or present on tv you can bet your bottom dollar mouths are gonna be talking. never any real surprises as far as winners go and what is the main subject at hand. i avoid most of those type of shows because lets be real i see the same folks and places name dropped daily and nothing is memorable when it is said over and over again unless they truly do something incredible within there craft. that is what we are suppose to be celebrating and acknowledging again right?

went six days of thoughts and wondered about you

Florida and Oklahoma for the national title

well college football tonight has the ultimate title game or so they hope as the number 1 and number 2 teams in the nation collide for the brass ring and hopefully who is the best team. i still want a playoff format eventually as do other countless college football fans across the nation and world, but this is a good match up when you have number 1 and number 2 battling it out. gonna be interesting which team is able to will themselves. you have the past two hesiman trophy winning Quarterbacks on the field tonight and so much at stake. the betting lines are long and many people have a strong interest in this game. i don't like having to wait a week after new years to watch this game, but I will be glued to the set unless the game gets out of reach. get your popcorn it promises to be a throwndown.

where did the moment of space land and guide me

and where was the sky as i sorted out a life that felt

a weekend of crazy weather

talking on the phone and watching the switches blink on and off and not knowing what is next. the weather truly made me tired and yet i was still motivated to do something but what exacty i don't know? had to get food,drinks and other needs to be prepared for whatever is coming down and yet I still don't know what to expect from the sky and yet I will be alright. the slushy weather and the wind breeze along with the snow,etc... just threw me for a loop and I still am untangled. hopefully the weather will stay clear and then i can function and get back to more of a normal outlook. condtions are important.

NFL Playoff Football starts this weekend

now this is where the NFL truly gets interesting and One and done truly means a whole lot. this is where teams find out who they really and truly are and what is around the corner. defense wins championships. every team has a chance to win with the parity in the NFL. any team who has made it this far can accomplish whatever it is they have fought so hard to get to. what quarterbacks will step it up and who is gonna avoid mistakes mentally? this football season has been unpredictable and that makes it that much more interesting.the super bowl isn't that far away. the hype is already there. quite a few interesting teams who didn't make it and so many others who did and that is what makes the nfl so entertaining.

for me the real College Bowl Football games start on the first and onward. to me the main bowls start from thursday onward. the big games are truly coming. those other bowl games are just a warm up to what i don't even know. the bcs poll is a mess and who is really going to be the best team? we need a playoff system ASAP. college football is the best thing going on and the real bowls are fantastic. the top 6 teams are all that matter to me in the bigger picture. i look forward to monday through thursdays National title game and i still want to see the best two teams going at it. i hope the rules change in the future. all the money being made is crazy and i feel we should always get the best overall participants.

John Travolta lost his son

that is very sad to read and hear. losing your child at any stage is always hard to take and my heart goes out to John Travolta and his Wife Kelly Preston. there son Jett was only 16. he had previous sezures which hadn't gone away. it is truly a tragedy and makes you put so much into perspective about life and what is important,etc... all the money in the world,fame, success can't ever take away the pain of losing a loved way so soon and way before there time. every year you wish for the best for all the people who are close and mean so much to you and you are never prepared for death at any point. John Travolta has left a message on his website travolta.com expressing what he and his wife are going through.Rest in peace and prayers to the whole family,friends and fans reflcting on this recent sad event.
