Protect the Energy
i was the light that paved a walk way in the dark
i was the fore-runner through the leaves in the park
never did i leave a soul behind as the sands of the tide
arrived footside even on a still day or evening and yet
a whisper from the past questions the elements
of a frosty bitter spring night where the birds
refused to chirp and the nest was touched
as if the lightening sparks weren't enough
to remind one's being to be in place
and respect the order of nature
and where does that leave eyes in the shadows
without any distance from being out of view?
