halloween

scary night trick or treat. you be the judge and how do you relate to this particular event that is seen almost as important as other holidays? what do you do when folks come a knocking on your door? the spirit of the night has turned into a multi media event that has been turned into a cash cow. now I enjoy the night but it isn't a national holiday or worthy of the hype per se IMO. but the way it is marketed a month and sometimes two in advance makes it seem a whole lot more than it truly is. i wonder if it will in fact become a national holiday the way it is marketed and pushed as such. I remember when it was a normal fun time and not a overblown this or that event. it has alot of good about it, but it isn't quite the end all be all that say Christmas,Easter, and other more sginificant Holidays truly mean to me. but having said that i will have a good time.lot of candy and fun.

Philaedelphia Phillies win the world series

congrads to the city of Brotherly Love as the Phillies won the championship last night when they beat the tampa bay devil rays. the world series was a hit and miss match up this year,but it is great to see the better team win it all. can't recall the last time a world series moved me and as a yankee fan i will say how long it's been since we last won it all and that might explain my indifference toward them over the past few years. but in any event the Phillies played great as did the devil rays and both teams have a chance to each go back again and again if healthy and driven. philly hadn't won a major title since the 76ers back in 83. baseball it hadn't happen since 1980 and those Phillies were something else as are these phillies. tap your cap to the champs they earned it.

NBA Season starts

well what will be in store for the current NBA Season? can the boston celtics repeat? can the Lakers with a healthy Andru Bynum go all the way and win for Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson? can Shaq make one last hurrah with the Phoenix Suns? can the San Antonio Spurs and Tim Duncan go all the way? what will be the fate of the Detriot Pistons? so many Questions and who will emerge come next June? the NBA Season might the biggest question mark time in many a year. who knows but I've been waiting to see what will happen. so many interesting story lines and predictions and nobody know what will happen. baseball is almost over and the NFL is right in the middle and College Football is must see and the NBA doesn't start to count really until after the All-Star break. alot of questions. time for hoops.

do you hear me and can you imagine my words?

when you whispered and stared at me what did you seek?

i figured that you were pretending to understand the message

and timing and yet we both were lost and words never materilized

how scary is to be a poet and still not able to digest meanings

going to the airport and the changes

last time i went on a airplane, talk things changing? now i had to get use to screening and also what you can bring and what you can't. my uncle took care of my bag bills and that is a different situation there. on the plane gotta deal with paying for food. as if being way up in the air wasn't enough to make you not want to eat? anyway touch down and got back home and so many thoughts and memorys running all through my mind and what i want to do,etc.... being at a airport is a interesting experience to say the least and it is vastly different and yet it feels like i have never left, since i got to travel so much as youngster. i like flying the most out of all ways to travel and the bus has it's place as does by car. plane ride is quicker and i can just overlook the sky and enjoy. but i had to get use to the modern enviroment and i understand. the culture has changed in that regard and it is cool and understandble.

if i was the know it all and sure the sun set on me

if i was the cold and didn't reflect what i needed to know

if i was the eyes that only my mirror could directly reflect from

if I was stuck in a time period and refused to acknowledge a movement

if was seriously lacking self-esteem and allowing imagery to be my motivation

if I was afraid of change and allowing myself to grow and expand my horzions

if I was shallow and didn't pay attention to details and warnings

if I became a early settler and didn't always see the big picture

but now I'm of today and want to get to tommorow

Joe the Plummer

there are so many everyday Joes and Mary's across the United states that deal with the daily grind of making ends meet and they all have a story to tell. it just so happen that this one man in patricular was pointed out. but he represents a whole lot of people dealing with the current economy and day to day grind to make ends meet. we all on some level and point can relate to being that person mentioned out from the crowd and having to deal with whatever obstacles we have in our path. that is the interesting connection of life that bonds us all together in some shape,form or fashion. Joe the Plummer is the catch phrase but it is also a reality of having a idenity and then when you are may or may not have been used as a political tool then what becomes of the person?

going on a trip to see family

all praise to God for a safe journey in seeing my grandmother and Mother in Houston texas. i needed that part of my life to be filled again. thank god for the Angel that is my Aunt and also strong sentiments to my Great Uncle who challenged my mind as well. so many great contributing factors made a journey for me that at first seemed gloom and doom into a rebirth for my well being and soul. my Cousins all touched my soul. seeing and talking to friends helped matters as well. living through the effects of a Hurricane up-close and personal and also dealing with my own storm is putting me in a better place to take my soul and spirit beyond where it has been. i feel re-fresh and also feel that i am cleansed and will be a even better Human Being.
it takes something that sinks you to your lowest point at times to bring the life back into you and that is what has happen and now with God on my side i can conquer any storm.

as i walk in a new frame of mind

never gonna walk quite the same

never gonna hear the same song twice

never gonna say words the same today as yesterday

never gonna leave tears inside or hide laughter again

never gonna unerestimate what power lays in connecting

with a higher power that truly guides my whole being

the debate was interesting

i think and feel that Joe Biden won the debate, but that Sarah Palin did a pretty good job and how all of that will play itself out will be interesting and will there be a bump for either side still remains to be seen, but it certainly lived up to the hype. Politics is a funny business and you never know what side of the wall it will land with the general public. great job by the Moderator and the Questions were direct and precise. I hadn't paid a VP debate much attention in years and this speaks volumes onto itself. now Obama and Mccain get ready for two more throwdowns in the next few weeks, but i feel they can cancel one another out on there differences of matter. Palin was charming and had some good counter punches, but Biden was matter of fact stayed even tempered and was direct on the issues, but again it is up to what moves people in the end.

tonight in St louis,Mo is the Vice President Showdown between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden and while this is the Vice Presidential debate it sure has the tone and feel of a heavyweight showdown which in alot of ways could sway voters who are on the fence with the partys. tonight is like a Super Bowl type of Hype. will the unknown elements and aspects of Palin come to the forfront? will Biden be heavy handed and attack and not let up? tonight is gonna go a long ways toward who gets into the White House. i feel this has been even more interesting than the debates between Barack Obama and John Mccain. I feel Obama and Mccain cancel one another out, but Palin and Biden are gonna be compelling figures on the center stage tonight. bloggers and commentary will be front and center tonight. what will be the main agenda and what is gonna be the theme? all eyes,ears and full attention awaits tonight.

welcome to October where that scent and smell of fall fully kicking in has arrived. welcome to the baseball post season as well. welcome to Halloween coming and the feel of other holidays forthcoming as well. October is such a pretty and breath taking month. truly amazing to the eyes and also to the smells. it's a interesting time of the year for me as I deal with a new chapter in my life and looking forward to what awaits. October is also the start of remembering what days gone by and times of the past were like and where I'm at now as a man. funny how when the season changes the mind reflects and just vibes off of that. so with tommorow's Vice President debate set to start the final countdown to the presidential Election is around the corner as well. so many things, but now it feels like October.
