in my shoes
traveling at a space and place
that circles and leaves distance and chance
and enter every wheel as if no turn
can be left or traced and yet never
see the on coming traffic of life as it
comes at me like a deer in the night
and the glide and stride is at the light
will i ever mention the fright that pours
upon my eyes? cover me and shadow me and
yet no need to linger or pity the secure heart
and motion to all the things that fell apart
and like a river that floods into overflow
where shall i go?
that circles and leaves distance and chance
and enter every wheel as if no turn
can be left or traced and yet never
see the on coming traffic of life as it
comes at me like a deer in the night
and the glide and stride is at the light
will i ever mention the fright that pours
upon my eyes? cover me and shadow me and
yet no need to linger or pity the secure heart
and motion to all the things that fell apart
and like a river that floods into overflow
where shall i go?
