as the night becomes one long stroll of darkness

where does the sidewalk take you next?

pacing as steps and no traces of footprints

leads you to one on coming car and another pair

of eyes and no words are ever exchanged

but obvious meanings and moments

are agreeed as a nod set in stone

and many legs and rhythms have

tapped alongside this very

road and all trails are usually

one and the same
