time to go back in time. the first time in 21 years the Historic Lakers and Celtics finals awaits. these teams throughout time have played 10 times now 11 with the celtics winning 8 of them. fromBill Russell and Wilt Chamberlin to Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. now you have Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett battling for the title which starts june 5th on ABC. back in the day my whole neighborhood would vanish when the game started up. we each had out sides. in my household my Grandmother rooted hard for the Celtics and I pulled for the Lakers. neither one of these teams a year ago seemed title worthy lead alone post season worthy. a year ago Kobe wanted out of LA and then fast forward to now he is the league MVP and going the finals for the first time in the Post Shaq era in LA. Phil Jackson laker head coach is looking to Pass the Great celtics coach Red Aurebach in rings. they are each tied at 9 apiece. Kevin garnett has never been this far in his career but his career has everything in it that shaq and Tim Duncan have accept a ring. Doc Rivers the Celtics Coach is also further than he has been before. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen of the Celtics are further as well over for the Lakers Lamar Odoms and Pau Gasol are further than they have been. Derek Fisher who won 3 rings when the lakers had Shaq and Kobe from 00-02. this should and could be a memorable Series and hard to say who is gonna win. the Celtics have the better defense and the lakers have the better offense. we shall see how it all goes down and maybe this will be the next chapter in this historic rivalery. get your popcorn, soda and napkins. this wek marks the return of the spelling bee. it happens yearly and it is always interesting at the words that the participants have to spell in order to get into the next round,etc... i could never get down with it. i mean playing scrabble can be challenging for me. i have watched the show over the years on ESPN and I have seen some kids faint or have moments of pullin those words out of thin air. i mean Wheel of Fortune can be challenging now imagine standing on a stage and having only a certain amount of time to get the word correctly and then prepare mentally so on and so on. but I Applaud whomever takes on the challege. unlike shows that have selective winners already in the can can we say American Idol or Dancing with Stars or other relaity shows...etc..... you have to bring your game to win this particular event or go home.

Sharon stone was recently quoted on tv saying that the recent Earth quake in South West China was a direct Bad Karma from Beijing's Policies in the tibet which has now lead to Sharon Stone films and Cosmetics and other things being yanked from department stores. she has since said she is sorry for the remarks. but I ask are you sorry because it got your stuff pulled or you are sorry because of the fact 68,000 people lost there lives and you came back to see the bigger picture? now you gotta understand that beyond any form of devastion you just can't go around saying any and everything regardless if there is some truth to it or you believe there is. problem is nowadays with the Media, Internet, Youtube,etc... somebody got a camera and recorder going off and around. she could have said it in a way that didn't make light of the tragedys and not come off so self serving. basic Instinct no pun intended says for Sharon Stone to Just Shut up because you are not a Quote unquote Political Person per se. I mean in Hollywood everybody thinks they can get on there soap box and yet most of them ignore the Problems we still have here at home. now if Sharon Stone says she is gonna see to it that a Portion of her sales from those department stores over in china will go to direct relief then she could save some face but other wise but a lid on it. and also don't you have to count before you go running off at the mouth? she has only made 2 memorable films in the past 15 plus years tops. in truth one and been on a Milk Carton for years in the whatever happen to there career file??

Lakers and Spurs Conspiracy going on?

it's no secret that NBA CEo David stern wants the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. now I will give the Lakers there due for being a team that you don't want any part of and Kobe Bryant is the MVp and best Player going in the NBA right now,but at the end of that game last night between the Lakers and Spurs Bret Barry of the SPurs got fouled by Derek Fisher. he was in 3 point territory and he got fouled period. the ref during that final moment was Joey Crawford who got suspended last year from the post season because he was bugging out on Tim Duncan and tossed him from a game while Duncan was on the bench. now folks who believe in Conspiracys and also thinking the League has it's interest in certai major market franchises just went more overdrive. believe me I know Basketball fans that stay away from the NBA because they feel the fix is always in and while there is obvious parity there is only slightly more than a Handful of teams who have won titles over the past 25-30 years. now the Lakers thus far look and appear the better team between themselves the Championing Spurs,but when plays like that go down with a no call and you have some folks saying you gotta sell a Foul or fall and flop that shows you just how much acting can go down in a game and how it's hard to tell the difference between real and the other.I'd hate to think we already know how this story is gonna turn out.

baseball needs replay

how many baseball games are gonna be called where a obvious Homerun is Missed? the NFL has instant replay and the NBA checks over certain plays, now granted there are still error but overall they get it right. but Baseball is blowing calls for the Long ball left and right. with all the technilogy of today you would think Baseball would step it's game up. with the build in ball parks, funny time strike zone,etc.... you would think they would have things more tighter. it's one thing if something happens every once a blue moon but now it seems like a every other week type of thing.i enjoy watching the game but I always feel that there is gonna be a bad call that can haunt any team. you need something that balances things out.i say place a extra signal on the outfield area so if a ball hits a particular place then it will signal a homerun,etc.. I mean it doesn't make sense for things that the viewing Public can see and the call is missed.a bad call can cost a team so much. yeah one bad call that could have been prevented might cost a team the whole nine.

this past weekend me and My Wife playing cards

this particular Memorial day weekend my Wife and I played some Uno which is always very competitive. back in the day after I got my wife hooked on making me Kool-Aid we would have uno Battles. it gets real intense and those cards be flying. we play Numbers style which can be a real Mother for ya if you get hit with a bunch of draw two's. then we got into playing checkers which is a Game My Wife claims she didn't know much about but I swear not since the days of one of My Grandmother's has someone jumped me and gotten crowned left and right. then we played 21 or Black Jack and again my wife claimed she never had played the game before but she was drawing low numbers and giving me a serious battle. she has game and I gotta watch her hand because She can play some cards. the Good news is that after either winning or losing we are both good sports about it and then My Wife throws down in the Kitchen and she has a touch with food which she has always had,but I still wonder about those card hands because they are like her Eggs on sunday Morning Sunny Side up and direct hit.

so i happen to live in a city that has a Value Village which specilizes in discount clothing along the lines of good will,etc.... the cool thing is the many items you find. you can find clothes, outdoor items and other hit and miss things. talk about trying to find a good deal? now the downside you have to be there quite early to get the best things on deals. i mean you aren't the only person in town who knows what's up. but talk about getting cool deals. now I always wonder how come they don't do this on the weekend? this is also one of the few times that i happen to have a few extra dollars on me. most of the time when they have tag day half off, I happen to be on Broke Mode. so i actually had this date mentally circled in my mind and the cool thing is too see what is there, also you might see a Old Buddy, these Particular thrift store Holiday sales are a Holiday all onto themselves and not only good deals but cool memorys if you get something you want or even rare.

carnival at the local mall

this weekend is the local carnival and as i pass by i see all the rides and i see all the money that i forgot to bring. wanting to ride and enjoy myself and eat food and while I'm day dreaming i head on home. now mind you i didn't even know it was that time of the year but as a kid i was always there. back in the day the local carnival came right after labor day and i had my money all linned up to spend and buy things. i was always happy to win and even though i didn't think much about what I had won i was just happy to say i had won or ride on a crazy ride,etc... getting hot dogs, drinks, chips,etc... and oh cotton candy was always a blast. running back into the mall after i had won something was like a badge of honor. npw fast forward with the price of gas and other items extra high and the hustle of the vendors and the people that run this fun event i knew I had to enjoy by watching as I looked into my empty wallet but with gifts i had bought that i could truly enjoy.

Indiana Jones returns

well if you are a fan of Harrison Ford and the Indiana Jones films then this is your week. this week Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull still arrived and it is ripping up the competition at the box office easily. highly anticipated film. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas came back on board. some folks are talking about Ford who is now in his mid 60's much as they did with Sylvestor Stallone who is 60 plus when he did his Rambo Sequel. but Harrison Ford has a lot going for him with this film and he can still play a Super hero. Indiana Jones is a Iconic film. the Hat alone is timeless and the various settings. this film will generate strong money at the box office. I can't say the film is that good per se, but the Hype and who is all in it still strikes a strong cord world-wide. the start of the pre summer box office hype and Hoopla has begun.

wanted to wish everybody a happy and safe Holiday weekend. props and thinking about all of our troops past, present and future making things safer for us all. this particular weekend i want to clean up and reflect. also I see neighbors hanging flags from there doors and around there Propertys. I feel it is very important to just think and reflect. I have to plan on what I want to do this weekend. but I will chill and just watch something on tv or just some put things into perspective. long weekends are always a welcome because they meant relaxing and also thinking and doing things that you might not do in certain weeks,etc...

what can I say about One of the mount Rushmore's of Songwriters? this Man not only was a vice President at Motown records but also He was the main Songwriter for many,Many,Many Years there. He wrote with his Group the miracles and for everybody else on the Label. He wrote songs that are considered standards. "My Girl", tears of a clown, Ohh Baby,Baby and countless others. I mean this Man has a ear for Melody and a Pen that never runs out of ink. and the Man's voice still is amazing. I mean His solo career had quite a few tight classic songs including "Crusin", and the trademark slow Jam that became a way of listening to late night radio with the classic slow jam "Quiet Storm". Being with you and so many other jams. He is One of the Greatest Talents ever on the motown family.

season ending tv shows this week

well the strike was over a month and change ago and this week marks the end for many shows and what did it mean again? i mean ratings are still steady for shows that have a strong built in audience. other shows however are effected by the impact. the bottom line is that reality or voting shows are having there way against the regular shows. American Idol did big numbers as did Dancing with the Stars, then tonight Grey's Anatomy is due for a huge blow out until next season. but strange as it sounds I like the fact that the networks took time off because the writing on most of these shows is pretty wack to me on a whole. nowadays the end of a season just doesn't mean the same because of Tivo, replays of the shows, youtube and other things that have made a tv show only something that you can always go back to whenever. the cliffhangers are only for the Soap-operas these days and even them are on delayed tv so nothing is without seeing these days or so it seems.

Tedy Kennedy has a Brain tumor it was announced over the weekend. Kennedy is the Sole surviving Son of the FIrst Family of Politics. He is 76 years old now. He has been given less than a Yer by doctors but you never know and just send Prayers to him and His family. the Kennedy legacy extends too all of the current canidates running now. Barrack Obama who has gotten endoresements personally from Ted Kennedy is also friends with Senator Kennedy. He sends out Prayers as has Hilary Clinton and John Mccain. the Impact and Ted Kennedy has meant for so many people has many Warm Wishers and fellow Human Beings who are praying for Ted Kennedy.

Pitcher Jon Lester threw a No Hitter Monday night which is always impressive,but when you add in the fact that Lester overcame and fought Cancer that really takes Lester to a whole different level. I applaud anyone who overcomes Cancer and when you have a really Young Guy doing this and overcoming the odds it is something else. in fact another Man who beat Cancer and overcame big time obstacles Lance Armstrong personally called Jon Lester and congradulated him on his Accomplishment. now more than every more people are overcoming Cancer and living and dealing with so many things. but it is still a Powerful statement when something like this happens. Lester is Only 24 but he has lived more than lives than most.

the battles of the Dave's on American Idol

well tonight we have Dave Archuleta versus David Cook. something has got to give tonight and who will emerge as the champion this year from Idol? usually Idol is fairly predictable with who folks think and feel who is gonna win,but these two Guys are very closely in who can Win. the judges and the Media have been pushing for this Showdown. Archuleta has the vibe of what you look for in a American Idol. Mickey Mouse club and very accessible and you can hear easily 3-4 hit songs. whereas David Cook is more of a Album Oriented type of Artist and also has the personality to possibly last in the Industry. alot of wagers and Hype will there to greet these two as they battle it out and this has to be Idol's Most Hyped year though for me I ain't felt Idol really since Season 3 or 4. but the Fox Hype machine is in full effect and this Battle is as tight as Hillary and Barrack.

that show last night showed how it is suppose to be done. Live Performances and Professionalism with Humor but a down home feel. a balance of paying respects to Older Artists and acts and also embracing the Up and coming acts. the Grammys, BET Awards, Hip-Hop Award Shows and other Pop Shows could take a lesson from what it takes to make a show memorable and also how to justg Perform from start to finish. now I'm not gonna act like Country Music today ain't watered down as other Music across other genres because Country today is as blurred as Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop,etc... today but the Live show and the Professionalism came across loud and clear and so needed. alot of these award shows I watch and only a handful of acts perform live and the ones that do often are better lip synching because they sound loud and Nasty and be hurting my ears. it was cool to see Garth Brooks being honored and other acts as well. the 3 hours of last night didn't feel that long truth be told. Carrie Underwood was good as was Keith Urban. Rebe Mcentire was cool as a Host as well.

Dancing with Stars Showdown

so who is gonna win on Dancing with Stars? you have Skating Champion Kristi Yamaguchi who right now is the front runner on Stars as we speak and she has been doing the thing since day one. then you have Football Player All Pro Jason Taylor who plays Defensive End for the Miami Dolphins and He has been on point through out the Season thus far. then you got Cristian De La Fuente the actor who has been the comeback kid every since he broke his wrist on Stars. He has actually gotten better over time. the show is doing really good this year and the final 3 performers are all top notch and it's anybody's game at this stage. tonight is a biggie and the finale is tommorow night. 3 interesting finalist with each one having a good chance at snagging the Disco Ball which is the trophy on Stars. the dancing ain't no joke because so many technical things and just rehearsing and doing the basics can be very taxing. should be entertaining as usual.

with all the Prices going up the straight up stop to a Costco is a must or at least having the fridge packed. the Prices are steady going up sight on seen and also not so seen depending on when you happen to go to buy something. the basics are pricy as we speak and it might make more sense to buy more because there truly is a rise going down. i mean buying in Bulk might be a thing to happen rather sooner than later. if you drive and with the high price of gas and then going to the SuperMarket it all adds up rather quickly than Later. vegetables, Milk, Butter, Eggs,etc... ain't no joke at the register as I speak. always gotta bring a Mind calculator and not so quick to just toss any and everything in the grocery cart as in days gone by. always reaching for a Coupon, somewhere back in the day I recall My Grandmother having the handy coupon clips ready to go and now more than ever it is a must just as a extra check out lane and oh the days of going to the express lane for a occasional pack of gum, candy bar or Pop are a thing of the past. no money to waste now.

this particular weekend where I live the weather is pushing 80 degrees and where I live that could mean all of Summer happening right now. I mean we don't get that kind of heat until july or august. it only happens marginally at best. i had to get outside and play some football and just enjoy this weather because it isn't the norm. i'm use to rain or breezy Springs and alot of lite time Summers but this was something that caught me off guard. the thing about warm Weather is that I don't want to eat as much and I'd rather just chill with some music cool drinks and no lights on. i tend to enjoy this time of the year the most and just relax and try to just vibe off the natural feeling of nature. there are so many activitys to get into and the Ice cream truck right about now needs to be hitting me up because it is a warm,warm day and it ain't playing today.

now I know Murdoch is out of touch. now granted Myspace is still big time,but even hearing that once 50's deal with Interscope records is over that Rupport Murdoch is gonna offer 50 a huge deal and stock into the News corporation. now the deal says that 50 will be Paid on his music, books, and other ventures. I think Murdoch is banking on 50's past deal with Coke a cola when 50 sold his vitimin Water business into Coke which reportly neted 50 well over a 100 million dollars and maybe more. problem on the artistic side is that 50 has been past his prime a good 3 years and the G Unit acts are dead. the logo and clothing still sells,but 50 is going more toward doing Film. 50 to his credit is a smart Business cat,but Musically speaking unless he has something in the can that he is holding back until he is free to sign, then I see this going Wood. I'm tripping at Murdoch trying be all Hip and He is on a dead wagon on the artist side with 50,but 50 is smart on the business tip. Oscar Pistorius allowed to participate in the Olympics

Double Amputee Athlete Oscar Pistorius has been allowed by the International Assocation of Athletes Federation to join the Beijing games August 8th-24th. Pistorius also is allowed to join the South African Relay team. alot of athletes who have been amputeed have been competiting more into various sports. this is Ground breaking,but it comes with it's critics. some feel that because of the technilogy and high tech forward Progressions that it gives a Athlete extra added on benefits,etc... I applaud anybody who has overcame or lost a Leg,Arm,etc.... it takes real dedication to overcome. Pistourius has gone nearly all of his life without legs. this is big news in the Sports World and is making headlines everywhere but it is a gift to have any of your human functions and should be seen as a Blessing.

Charles Barkley and 400,000 in debt at the casinos

today news came out that Former NBA SuperStar and One of the Greatest Players Ever and Hall Of Famer Charles Barkley was 400,000 dollars in the hole on the vegas gambling tables. now the Prosecutor is actually talking about filing charges if Barkley doesn't pay it up. what trips me out is that Barkley can pay the bill and that this thing became made public and also who airs out that they have allowed Barkley this amount of credit. what the Vegas folks are saying is that they allowed Barkely 4 seperate times to run up a 100 thousand dollar tab and then bounce. I mean everybody knows Charles Barkley but if the money is that important than you should get it directly instead of allowing this thing to blow up and of course Barkley has to pay the bill and admit he has a problem. I'm a Huge fan of the Chuckster but this is serious and while he can afford the loot it still isn't a good look. i never like to hear about anybody losing on the crap tables and slot machines,etc........ gotta get some help and Vegas needs to be ashamed of itself by pimping his name out like that instead of dealing with him directly. how many people have lost it all on a vegas table and have to pay or something rather than later and didn't have there names put out like that??

Lebron James told his Mother to Sit her so and so on down during the game the other night between the cleveland caviliars and Boston celtics. what happen was that Lebron was a on a fast break and celtic forward paul pierce grabbed Lebron and his movement and speed couldn't allow him from holding on to Lebron and right under the basket close to the floor was Lebron's Mother Gloria who shouted at Paul Pierce and then Lebron told his Mother to calm on down. now this was after Mothers day and thank goodness for Lebron or he might have seen a switch or the evil eye. Lebron did say he was sorry but the heat of the moment and putting everything into perspective makes alot of sense. this isn't the first time that a family member got into the mix during live action or from the sidelines. it won't be the last either. seeing the game and the actual seen unfold was a stone cold trip.

Central China EarthQuake

that was quite powerful and scary with what happen in China over the past few days. 15,000 are said to be dead and another almost 26,000 are buried under ground. seeing and hearing people talking about losing there loved ones just truly griped me and made me sad upon seeing it. I saw a Man who said he lost his wife two kids and mother and father and then he got a call saying it was time for work, meanwhile he had tears streaming down his face. the maginuted of the EarthQuake was 7.9. moments like this show that all is not right within our World. Mother Earth is not happy and messages as this are reminders of this. my prayers and Heart go out to all effected by this tragedy and I pray that somehow this part of the World is able to heal and regain something back. anytime a EarthQuake happens or a Natural disaster it impacts us all and is felt by the whole Globe and this one really moved me and made me feel so sad.

hard to Believe that Arguably the Greatest Women's Golfer Ever is gonna retire at only age 37. Sorenstam who is the female version of Tiger Woods and the Irony is that they are both real good friends and keep in touch with each other over who just won a Major,etc.. Tiger in fact said he was sad to see her leave,but that he respected her going out on her own and also how Great she has been. Sorenstam said She wants to start a Family and wants to leave now and who knows she might come back. she has Won 72 tournaments and has 10 Majors thus far. it is always hard to see Greatness leave so soon because as fans we feel we are missing something or being robbed of more. but I applaud Annika Sorenstam for Being a All Time Great Champion and she is timeless.

not only was this past Sunday Mother's day but it also was special in acknowledging Breast Cancer. in the Parade magazines over the past few months Robin Roberts who is a reporter and Journalist for ABC and also a sports commentator over the years has breast cancer and together with Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter were all holding Pink Baseball Bats. this Past Sunday through out Major League Baseball quite a few teams and Players either were using Pink Bats or wearing a Pink Shirt as part of there uniform. Breast Cancer while more commonly found in Women has also had Men have it as well and it is serious and should be tested. I applaud what Major League Baseball did this Past Sunday and it showed a Human side to the game.

hard to believe it's been 10 years since Ole Blue eyes aka the Chairman of the board Frank Sinatra died. he truly was one of the cornerstones of American Popular Music to me. a voice and a instrument that touched so many lives. from Swing, Big Band, easy listening and Pop Music in between. He was a man who fought and defended for other people. I mean he was the answer to the question of who inspired the line in the "Godfather" I'll make him an offer that he couldn't refuse. he was part of Rat Pack which include the Great Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford and others. Sinatra was the leader and was one of the Coolest/Coldest Cats to ever rock a Microphone and just phrase with such ease. my favorite Sinata works were with Count Basie and Quincy Jones at the sands and also his work with Carlos Jobim which was incredible. yeah Playboy comes into my house and Both myself and My Wife read it and I said Read it. all the chicks and the pictures all look and feel the same. one airbrush,artifical picture and vibe leads to thousands period. I only like reading the interviews,storys and articles and the jokes. and the facts speak for themselves. more Women overall than Men read Playboy. Hugh Hefner is that dude that most other Cats at some point or another have wanted to be like,but i tend to like the Ladies with some Meat on there bones and Hef's chicks ain't eating no Ham Hocks or sweet potatoes. but the magazine is a Icon and the writing is still top tier with me overall. playboy covers a wide range of topics and issues and has always been that way. i usually avoid topics on people or anything that is close to the tabloids,but this story and pictures that i saw over on TMZ.com was too good to by pass. Suge Knight finally got what was coming to him. after years of bullying on folks and whatnot he messed with the wrong cat and got knocked out cold for 3 minutes. Knight went back to his SUV with Blood all on his jacket which is yellow. the sight of him on his back was a trip. Snoop Dogg, Dr.Dre,2Pac tha Dogg Pound and others who were either bullied or threaten by Suge Knight's antics all had to crack a smile or nod in that sight of Suge Knight on his back. nowadays a pitcher winning 350 games is a rare feat. Maddux became just the 9nth pitcher ever to accomplish this feat. 17 gold gloves, 4 Cy Young awards and a Championship in his long Great Hall of Fame Career. the Irony of Maddux is that he looks more like a Lawyer and his pitching isn't over powering at all. he has incredible pitching control and he has never been a power pitcher. alot of other pitchers beat you with fastballs and had more Swag,but Greg Maddux beats you with the simple basics which it is all about fundamentals. Maddux is 23 years into his career and the way he pitches he could go on a couple more years easily. never is fun. gotta check teeth and watch out for tarter,plaque and other things such as cavities. the price can be so much for crowns and replacing teeth. root canals are so much along with bridge work. back in the day as a kid it was simple to avoid a bad visit and get some candy. sitting that chair and seeing a screen break down all of your teeth one by one.the technilogy can pin point activity within all of your teeth. told to brush, floss and do the basics which sounds easy,but how soon we can slip up and forget. bottom line if you don't take care of your teeth then you end up pulling them out. you might go through feeling pains or strange feeling within your mouth that just leaves you cringing or uncomfortable and why is that? but anyway gotta make that run and take care of the teeth and just stay on top of them or see False teeth down the road.

in the final seconds of the Detriot Pistons and Orlando Magic playoff game in the 3rd quarter Pistons Guard Chauncey Billiups made a 3 pointer that should not have counted. the clock had 4.8 seconds remaining,but TNT had the offical count down running to 5.2 seconds and that particular 3 point shot counted. the Refs said because of the current rules that they couldn't do anything. funny thing is that rules can always be challenged. now that shot didn't cost Orlando the game,but it did effect the final outcome. alot of people tune out Professional Sports as if it was headed toward Professional Wrestling because they feel the fix or conspiracy is on. I don't usually mess with I tunes except to see what people known and Unknown have on there play-list. but it occured to me that I tunes is the new modern day version of a Jukebox which allows you to pick and put tunes on your space. it's like back in the day when you went to a local restaraunt and sat there for breakfast or something and you flipped through songs and put your coins into the box and played what you wanted. I hardly ever see JukeBox's anymore. My grandfathers each had a Bar and tavern and I always use to get excited about taking coins and playing the machine. well nowadays you can play the Machine in your crib and enjoy the cuts that way.problem with me is that 10-20 cuts ain't even hardly near enough for me and my tastes. I likes way too much music,but I do understand this modern concept.

now this award could have easily gone to Chris Paul who makes a strong case as does Lebron James and Kevin Garnett. but Kobe Bryant won the award. He joins Kareem,Magic and Shaq as the other Lakers to Win the Award. Elite company indeed. Kobe Bryant has evolved a bit more from his Me against the world vibe from only a few years back. He is One of the Greatest Players Ever. now I have had my issues with Kobe over the years and I still feel he could have done more at keeping Shaq out in LA when they were dominating during there Championship years, but there is no denying the impact that Kobe has had on the game. He got help with Andrew Bynum the Young center who ironically just last summer Kobe wanted to be traded in the worst way and also the additon of Pau Gasol who helped the Lakers Low Post pressence so much. Kobe seems at peace with himself and it is good to see a Young Gifted Talent doing the right things on the Court and playing Team Ball. no matter what Number or what Name Kobe elects to go by His Game is still the Same and that is Great and at a High Level.

i have celebrated this particular time and Holiday quite a few times over the years. it is always best to have a full festival and celebration of food,music and friends. when I lived in Houston back in the day i always had great gatherings with friends and truly got into the mood and time. every Culture is meant to be cherished and it is always felt by me. i really get into all of the enjoyment and fun that comes with the Holiday. from the days at school to events and at partys i really enjoy the live feeling and feel good vibe that is felt on this weekend and the main day. my favorite Cinco De Mayo party was back 15 years ago and I had such a great time and I didn't want the day to ever end.

Mildred Loving died today Matriarch of Interracial marriage

Mildred Loving the Matriarch of Interracial Marriage passed over the weekend. hard to believe that only 41 years ago it was against the law in Virginia amongest 17 other states in the United States for couple of different races to be Married. but thanks Mildred Loving who was Black and Her Husband Richard who was White and tragically died in a Car accident back in 1975 which injured His Mildred, they forever together made history. they were threaten with facing a year in jail for there union and they had to leave Virginia and they moved to Washington Dc. they wrote a letter to then Attorney General Robert F.Kennedy who lead them to the American Civil Liberties Union. they fought and challenged Virigina's Ban which was a landmark supreme court rulling that allowed people of all backgrounds and races marry whom they wanted to. Lynn Whitfield the actress portrayed Mildred Loving in a film some years ago. every June 12th is the anniversary of this much needed victory by the courts. the Loving's had 3 kids. there last name speaks volumes because at the end of the day it is about Love regardless of your background. i feel Honored by what the Lovings did. My Wife is White and we still get looks and have had to deal with obstacles over the years,but Love is the most important thing at the end of the day and you just have to deal. thanks to the trailblazing of Mildred Loving who didn't seek out to be a hero but just wanted to be with the Man She loved. she represented so much more. RIP to a very Important soul who paved the way for Love.

David Blane is something else indeed if you are a fan of his. He always is making magic and doing the unexpected. the latest episode from Blaine was the other night with holding his breath under water for 17 minutes. I watch whatever David Blane is on tv and it could be a card trick or a side walk movement. about 6-7 years ago Blane was on tv every sunday night on one of the channels I use to watch and he always had a trick or something going on. I've always dug Magicians and through the years I have always watched and enjoyed the latest forms of Magic. we all at some time and point of our lives like the illusion and the unknown. i always wonder what he will do next? He has been on a serious run of events that still draw huge amount of crowds. when he was in the Bubble over in London a few years back that was something else. well of all things that turn another year old this ain't one of them that you look the most forward to. 30 years ago on this particular date Gary Thuerk who was working on a Us Goverment Computer sent a Sales Mail to 393 users offering a crazy deal and the then unknown thing some 15 years later called Spam was born. the Irony is that now, Thuerk is working at places that protect against Spam. back in the day i only knew the name Spam from being in a Can and the real Spam in cyber Space is just as awful as that mess that is in a can. Spam ain't never gonna go away and this turkey is the reason for it. I mean of all the things to be remembered for, Spam starting on the Internet ain't something to tip your cap to. i spend at least 10-15 minutes a day deleting all that extra mess in my junk mail and there needs to be something to truly eliminate it.

Paula Abdul slipped on American Idol

most of us just think that Paula Abdul been drinking and sipping on more than things than Syrup. them Wigs and them crazy remarks and off focused comments. but Paula Abdul truly sunk the American Idol ship. she slipped up on the fact that the judges watch the stage dress rehearsal which consist of the evenings Live performance. Abdul slipped on Jason Castro's first performance and she slipped up and said that his 2nd performance was lacking when in actuality it was his first. in truth Castro is a Sleepy time Hack who is only happening because of his eyes and his female base fans. He can't sing to save his life. all of his vocals and presentations all sound the exact same. but Paula Abdul let the cat out of the bag that herself, Randy Jackson and Simon cowell already pre-judge the acts for the evening. this year Idol's numbers are down and the bottom line is that though Idol is almost a Decade long, it's Peak and Prime has done come and gone. nothing new and the bottom line is that aside from Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Doughtery and borderline with Fantasia most of Idol's acts have pretty much desappeared the way of Casper the Friendly Ghost. now it appears that Idol is a Fraud. everything is already in the know. i mean it is tv and nothing is ever live. and going by the voting and the way things have gone down on Idol over the past few years it does really seem like a fix is in.
