I Swam in your lake

when the news arrived

it caught us all by surprise

from sun up to sun down

everybody wanted to wear the crown

funny how the music played

and like a play everybody

was acting on a stage

did i sense a frown from you

because what you were going

through i was feeling as well?

when you needed that extra

arm and hand to reach out
