Managers like Joe Torre are in new places such as the LA Dodgers. can't wait to see the Wild card. baseball season is something I always look forward to and can't wait to get into it. start rooting and cheering your favorite team on. time to Play Ball.

Wrestlemania tonight
well the pay per views fans of Wrestlemania are really hyped for tonight as Boxing Champion Floy Mayweather takes on Big show the Big,Big,Big Wrestler in which it is reported that Mayweather is expecting get paid in the 20 million dollar range. Wrestling Pay Per views are big time business and have always been. be it for a belt or the climb to the ladder to get the brief case which has monehy in it or the Steel cage match, or any type of battle royal. but this Match has big time hype because of the two Participants. this kind of match will bring in the Wrestling Crowd, the Boxing Crowd and also the Joe or Mary Casual fan who will see if this really entertaining when it's all said and done. this match has been talked about for a good while now. Wrestling is one of the very few sports that could be sandwiched between the NCAA Finals and the Start of the Major League Baseball season and still hold it's on and take some of that crowd as well.

today is turn your lights off for a hour, but i can't today
i heard about this being one of those earth days where you are suppose to turn your power off for a hour, but today ain't that today for me. the weather is all messed up and with the snow i got today and i need some heat in my crib so i can't go without that extra comfort. still I understand going a hour without using electricity. i live on the West Coast and around 8-9 PM standard time is when people who are gonna participate in it are suppose to drop the switches for a minute. now where I live we have had some bad power outages and I just don't wanna chance that. i'm gonna peep out my window to see who all is gonna go through with it,but i gotta watch with my lights on. i'll catch them back next time.
WinterWonderland in Spring time??
talk about my mouth being left wide open and me being speechless? I awoke this morning and my eyes peeped the shades and saw flakes flowing down and it wasn't from my head either. I was like ain't this suppose to be Spring and ain't baseball season starting in a couple of days? I was stunned to say the least and not one bit shocked because where I live any and everything could fall from the sky. now it is raining and it is starting to melt and I'm like yes LAWD!!!!!!!!! the sun is coming out but everything is all soggy and slushy. hopefully the weather will get better because though April fool's day is tuesday i thought i was truly getting the biggest prank on me. what do you do when you just ain't expecting no snow your way at this particular time of the year? had to bundle up on clothes and just stay warm and not lose my cool.

Oregon Man Claims he is pregnant
so i heard and so this one the other day and never flipped over my rice krispys twice. tonight on ABC's 20/20 the guy is gonna be interviewed and I gotta hear this one. if Men could get Pregnant then alot of dudes would be in trouble and you can believe that. the dude took pictures and had pictures of his tummy getting bigger and the first thing i thought was that maybe he had one too many six packs and the buzz had gone past his tummy to his head. I mean it ain't happening. but nevertheless i want to see how this truly unfolds and plays itself out. this actually made regular news papers and didn't go directly to the Globe. i often wonder what people will do for news and to get attention.

what is up with all the Blackface in Hollywood?
now on Saturday Night Live they have Fred Armisen in Black Face as Presidential Canidate Barack Obama. thing is simple to me, can't you hire a Black Actor to play the role? yeah it bothers me and makes me think of Al Jolsen and Birth of a Nation where Black Face roles and films were the norm and accepted. I remember a little over 20 years back and the film "Soul Man" with C Thomas Howell in Blackface. and now in the latest Ben Stiller film Robert Downey Jr is gonna be in BlackFace. I mean Hollywood has control over the Black Images that blow up on the big screen and small screen and to keep this mess going on is just a mess. I don't find it funny and I find it racist and in poor taste and this is still going on in 2008 and there is no outrage and I find that scary. those images of the past still haunt and hurt and they hurt even more now because it is being accepted and taken without being spoken out against fully.

the NFL wants to Ban Long hair
leave it to the No Fun League at it again to now actually enforce hair length rules. I feel it is racially because they are going after Black Athletes with Braids, Dred Locks,etc.... I mean it is obvious what is at work here and the not so quiet hints. I feel that Individuality is always a must and should be accepted. this is a Sport where you might not get back up again forget what your hair looks like. that is the least of ones concearn on a Football field. I have my issues with the NFL though it is the Pasttime of now and is the only sport that truly gets me interested in all the games. but there selective rules and what they want to put into stone leaves me feeling like they are stuck in a time warp and also crosses the lines racially and are personal. it's one thing if they say all players must wear the same shoes, socks,etc... but Hair is Hair and represents what the person wearing it wants it to. Roger Goodell has more pressing issues than one's hair length and style.

opening day baseball today not in America unpatriotic?
today the World Champion Boston Red Sox's(Who I can't stand,Yankees fan here) and the Oakland A's started the season off in Japan early this morning.Boston won the game in dramatic fashion in the 10nth inning. but the thing is that the first game of the season wasn't even in the United States. Boston didn't get to start the season off at home.it would be there ring day. I just know that it feels strange and odd not to have opening day Baseball in America. now I know that the game is trying to be global and appeal worldwide and make that money, but it does hurt when the game itself isn't present on Opening day. Baseball is a important sport that always seems to mess itself up and doesn't seem to want to reconect with the people on a whole. as much as I can't stand the Boston Red sox's I did feel for them not being able to start the first game of the season at home. i can actually imagine the day when Baseball on Opening day might be a Pay Per View just to see a game far away that is so removed from what is happening today and yet I remain and always will be a baseball fan,but still...................

Asley Alexandra dupre the Ex Governor's Call Girl
this chick is getting crazy press time and her 15 minutes of fame is going into major overtime and thensome. she use to be on "Girls Gone Wild" and even Penthouse wants to pay her a million dollars to pose and I expect even more offers. meanwhile Ex Governor Eliot Spitzer of New York is laying low and has to see this chick stack up checks and just get bigger and bigger as the days and nights go by. Us Magazine and other tabloid outlets,etc.... are capitolizing off her image and even on Youtube.com and Myspace she recorded a few tracks that are getting major attention and thensome. back in the day a Scandal involving all partys didn't mean a happy day per se. but somewhere along the way a Good scandal can mean a big time pay day and it can pay huge dollars and even more attention. that element of thrill seeking is a amazing to me at how it is just enjoyed. I saw this chick's pictures and whatnot all over Entertainment tonight and CNN amongest other outlets. and something tells me that this chick is gonna be even bigger than Donna Rice,Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lowensky all combined. and this will never end.

in the air
above the clouds and in the far sky what do i seek and dream?
what can make the stars seem closer than yesterday and here today?
do I reach for the full zenith and catch the rays of warmth that reflect
back to me as Smile that never leaves and shall never end
i touch out and see Ballons leave to reach the highest that the sky has to offer
and what lays there as Airplanes and Jets go into that special place of space
where Moons,Stars, Planets and so much adventure rides overhead
and what are we on a galaxy of the unknown?

Happy Easter
now if you celebrate this particular holiday it means something deeply and profound for you, if not then you just don't. it is a ackward holiday because people don't really give gifts but do often give candy or a card. i've never heard of a holiday dessert for this particular holiday. prayers go out to the troops and familys with loved ones serving. My Grandmother celebrates a Birthday on this Holiday so it has a double meaning for me and this hasn't happen before that i recall. Easter usually happened in April, but March got all the special occasions this year. daylights Savings, spring and Easter. i do rewind my mind back to past easters and either going to church or having a memorable dinner or just reflecting on the spiritual day and what it means. i don't like the commericialism of the holiday and I feel it has cheapen what it truly means. but it is still Easter and it is a day to embrace and reflect.
Happy Spring
finally one of my favorite times of the year is here and the grass is extra green as the flowers shine extra oh so bright. I've been waiting for this time of the year and the weather usually starts to feel warmer, well depending on where you live and stay. where i live it feels like it could be parts late january and mid febuary, though febuary toward the end here was warm, but the weather here lately been on the cool tip to say the least. anyway with the weather back to the spring this means more walks with the dog and enjoying more sunshine and hopefully doing some cooking out,etc... yeah and baseball is just around the corner so it is finally kicking into full gear. Spring has the fresh vibe that i just can't put my finger on,but it does warm the heart and soul.

Black Magic on ESPN Classic
this is a Must see Program for fans of Basketball which Profiled Pioneers such as Coach John Mclendon and Clarence Gaines. also great Profiles on Coach John Chaney, Sonny Hill Cleo Hill, and others who contributed. it's a sad reminder of a time not that long ago where Black college Players had to play segregated ball because White Universitys and even the NBA back then didn't want to allow Black Players the same chances and rights. Programs like this need to be a reminder of today's NBA Players so they can see what happen and speak out on it. because we are talking serious things that happen within the past 50-60 years which wasn't that long ago. it's a reminder of how some of the same people who would cheer a Black Player on the court would also turn away from them off the court. this is a powerful documentary about Intergration and the past Segeration and the politics involved and all the aspects of Racism. Programs like this bring tears to the eyes because it shows how much sacrifice went down to make a better day for future Black Athletes. this documentary speaks on Historically Black colleges and the impact which is still felt to this day.
will Barry Bonds get a chance to play this year?
it ain't even quite Barry Bonds is essentially Black-Balled from Major League Baseball. hard to believe that the Major League All time Home Run King doesn't have a job offer? now we all know about his potential court case,etc.. but this Man can still Play Baseball and can Hit. I mean straight up He was the best player last year on the San Francisco Giants. Baseball got what they wanted out of Bonds and that is he draws people regardless if they Love or Loath Him. He should get a chance to showcase his skills because He has been a Great Player and he is a Hall of Famer who deserves a chance to do what he does best period to me. right now the Media and the Powers that be ain't trying to touch Bonds within a ten foot pole, but the Man should get that right to play. it would be so wrong if Bonds doesn't get another chance. He is still better than quite a few players out here now.
NCAA College Basketball tournement is on now
today marks the start of the College Basketball tournement known as March Maddness. meaning win or go Home. the past two years the University of Florida has won back to back titles but this year they won't be there and this year will have a new Champion. no matter how much parity or this or that involved with modern day college basketball there is nothing quite like March Maddness. the games get more exciting as the days and weeks progress. the NIT is also going on as well. for the next few weeks College Basketball will be dominating the tv airwaves and the fans and reactions will all be captured and thensome. time to get your brackets out and see how you do. final 64 in college basketball is the pre-cursor to fantasy football, baseball and basketball,etc....

Tiger Woods made my day Sunday
it was a Quarter to 3 on Sunday Afternoon and something said turn to Nbc because it is Tiger time and Sure enough like Clock Work Tiger Nailed a 20 foot shot. the Announcer said how Tiger was 0 for his last 20 and you just knew he was due and the fact with the shot he would win the Arnold Palmer Tournement. Tiger Woods is the Only Sure thing in all of Sports that I have ever seen. I mean you always expect him to Win and Dominate. He came back in dramatic fashion over the weekend after trailing. Tiger Woods just keeps getting better with each passing year which has to be scary for his compeptition. i mean no other atlete in my time on earth has done the kind of damage to his competition. he truly is One of a Kind and then some. Hard work, dedication and being Driven speaks for itself.
Kevin Garnett called out by former Boss
Kevin Garnett got called out by Former Owner Glenn Taylor who is the Owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Taylor said yesterday that Garnett tanked last year. now of all the Players to Ever play the game of Basketball in the NBA to be called out as a tanker this is so wrong. Kevin Garnett is One of the Hardest working Players Ever and the record by his current team the Boston Celtics reflects that. in a Broader standpoint of view why do former Bosses have to diss there former workers in any profession? I've noticed how if a worker leaves a place and goes elsewhere then suddenly they get dissed big time by a former employer. Garnett hardly ever got any help during his time with Minnesota. Garnett being the Class Act that he is elected to avoid saying anything foul to Glenn Taylor and just wanted to tell him thank you for the chance to play in the League.Garnett is having the last laugh this year meanwhile the Timberwolves still stink and the Man handing out the Pay checks has tanked his own team but who is he gonna blame for that? they are a SUperStar Less team and just are a team in Name only. bad draft choices, Poor GM handling and coaches coming left and right.

camera cell phones
folks be snapping left and right and sometimes you just aren't even aware of when a picture is being taken. the picture or camera phone where somebody gets you out of the blue. you know this form of technilogy is something that would have been cooler way back in the day when you are on a family outing and vacation trip and you happen to see something memorable on the side of the road and you are wanting to tell somebody, but you didn't have the technilogy. today is is so easy to capture those little moments and then some. I often wonder how often people snap pictures just for the fun of it. what aingle do you look to capture and what area are you looking to get a good picture of? what is the best camera Cell Phone that best gets you what you are looking for? the camera Cell Phone makes you into a instant Photographer on the spot or so it seems.

ST Patrick's day
today is St Patrick's day and the Lucky Green and all the trimming that comes with the Green. I haven't had alot of memorable St Patrick's days per se but I have had fun. I got pinched back in the day at school for not wearing anything Green, but I did ask if Money counted? i would buy boxes of Irish spring to just get my flavor for the holiday. it is a cool day and yet unless I was into drinking I just never got into it a whole lot,but it is a cool holiday no doubt. you'd think I would dig this holiday even more as much as Money as I can spent if I don't have to buy or pay for anything important. the days of Being Pinched for not wearing Green are long gone, but the luck of Green and that Spring vibe all have a freshness of it's own.

time to get those college basketball brackets ready
final 64 teams are about to be announced later today and if your team is in the mix then good luck and also if you are doing the at work water cooler tournement pool then even more good luck to you. I've been so close over the years at winning it all and then coming up short like two years back where i almost won,but FLorida won it all. the actual work pools for the tournement are almost as fun as the actual games themselves. the thought of a one and done tournement just can't be faded in any other sport at all. win or go home. there is always the thought of a cinderalla type of team coming along and flipping the whole script. everybody is looking for this year's seton hall but I'd love to see another NC State type of team win it all. Much Respect and RIP to Jimmy V for never given up and hard to believe it's been 25 years since NC State upset the Houston cougers for the title. College Basketball Brings the drama and excitement around this time. stay tunned and keep your popcorn hot and ready.
prayers to the people in the Atlanta storm
watching college basketball friday night and seeing that storm that entered upon the game in Atlanta friday night was scary, but even scary is the storm and just not being prepared for something of that magnitude. I grew up and lived down South and though the Heat was no joke, those thunder and lightening and powerful electrical and strong wind storms were no joke either. i mean they came like gangbusters and would leave you all lost. trees, and personal items and more importantly human life having to deal with the maddness of it all. my prayers go to the people dealing with this latest situation.

Props to the Houston Rockets 21 straight wins
the Houston Rockets Basketball team last night made it 21 straight wins in the regular season and they now have the second longest such streak in the History of the League only trailing the 1972 LA Lakers who won 33 straight. the Rockets have won 9 straight games without there big Man Yao Ming and many a writer and sports critic had written them off,but Tracy Mcgrady and Crew had something to say about that. there coach Rick Alderman is making a strong case for Coach of the Year and he is a very Underrated coach. He did Great things back in the day with the Portland Trailblazers including being in the finals twice and also within this decade in Sacremento with the Kings where he took that team to the Western Conference finals and had much success there. the Rockets are doing things the right way. playing Great team ball spot on defense and of course T-Mac is holding things down. Props to Mutumbo, for his defensive pressence and the whole team is looking sharp at the right time.
shed a tear for love
can this wonderful thing that means so much in the world
be so painful and powerful that it can cause you to lose sleep
that it can cause thoughts which make you sad without
rain in the forecast even on the brightest most sunny of days
the moment it strikes you, the sentiments echo through
a tunnel of there own desire and they can create
a divide within your whole being
dare I eat today?
dare I sleep too long today?
dare I write words that express
what these feelings and overall
memorys of want and need mean??

Gas Prices making some go to the pawnshop
these gas prices are out of control and when you hear and see folks having to go to the local Pawnshop to just get around then it truly feels not only like a recession but also real gloomy as well. I mean Gas right now is about the same as going to the local movie theater and buying Popcorn small to regular size and it ain't funny. it speaks volumes about how things truly are looking bleak and the current situations and how the War has impacted so much. I mean to go on a good trip you gotta spent a good almost 50 dollars for a trip to and back. we aren't even talking about rest-stops and breaks. but to hear and see people having to do this just to make a trip to pick there kids up from school or go to work on the day to day is just scary and wrong. usually if you are going to the pawnshop you are going to get some money but the curcumstances though differ and the reasons should be more of a choice than being forced because of a situation which you can't control.

David Paterson becomes NY's first black Governor
in light of Eliot Spitzer's resignation on the Prostitution ring sting wire tape, David Paterson becomes the first Black Governor of New York and also he is blind in one eye,but he has a vastly rich era.Paterson grew up around The First Black Mayor of New York David Dinkins. Paterson also said Pray for Spitzer and He is thankful for his chance. I'm still amazed with the firsts that still happen in America where Black People are concearned because Progress is still slow on a whole to me. this will be interesting. the democratic party with the showdown between Barack and Hillary going full steam ahead all eyes were on New York to see what would happen with Spitzer.

John Daily fired by his own Caddy and coach
John Daily is the 2nd most popular Golfer this day behind Tiger Woods. he hasn't one a big time tournement in over 15 years and he still hasn't stopped hitting the bottle and wasting away a Great career, but these Golf clubs and big time places always bring him trying to bring back the magic. Daily is the Golfer's version of Brett Favre in that alot of folks can relate to his climb and the way he carrys himself. Daily has the kind of talent where he can hit the Long ball as Tiger Woods and he has the short game, but he doesn't always put it together. then you factor in his own personal issues. he didn't need this with Butch Harmon now leaving him and calling him out as this stage of his career. also John Daily got kicked out of Arnold Palmer's Invitation for missing out on his time to tee up. i can't stand to see a talent like Daily waste it all away and then to have Golf places continue to push a train wreck as to trying to get the man some help and balance. His Life in the big picture should matter more. hard to say what he has left in the tank as a golfer and I would like to see him back on top,but when your own Coach fires you and he depends on your success for income,etc... that says you need some help and a different approach to matters.

Geraldine Ferraro done flipped
it trips me out that a Former Vice President Canidate has the nerve to say the only reason that Barack Obama is doing as well as he is , is because he is Black? I need to do a double take and ask what in the you fill in the blank???? I mean Ferraro was a running mate with Presidential canidate Walter Mondale back in 1984 and they got tore up by Ronald Reagan and George Bush in a 49-1 beat down state by state. but usually you here when a Black Person reaches or gets to a particular area in a Job that it was because of Affirmative-Action or this or that. never have I heard this one. she got dropped from her Finiance Position with Hillary Clinton today. ask yourself just how many Black Folks in the history of the presidency have gone as far as Barack Obama?? it's one thing if Ferraro wanted to comment on Obama's expereince and his time of running as a Senator, but when you bring Race up you are gonna raise much eyebrows and rightfully so. I give Barack Obama Props for responding to this because Race is a huge issue in america period and always will be. the bottom line this always need to be discussed and believe me this won't be the last time somebody will take a cheap shot.

Billy Crystal latest Entertainer playing ball on the field
well Billy Crystal just joined Tom Sellleck and Garth Brooks by being allowed by the New York Yankees for a game of Spring training baseball. Crystal just turned 60 and the Yankees are his favorite Baseball team and he is getting that Once in a lifetime dream of playing a game with them. other celebritys in Entertainment have either tried out for teams or had these type of exhibition chances. Master P got a serious try out with the then Charollete Hornets. He had some handles as a Guard. His son is playing at USC Lil ROmeo. i think it's cool and we all have those dreams in our lives no matter what we accomplish or where we are in our lives.
New York Governor in Scandal
well another High ranking Politician is involved with a possible career ending scandal. New York Governor Eliot Spitzer known as Mr.Clean after when he was a Attorney who went after WallStreet and other places that were into shady business is now under the extra eyes for his role in being linked in a Prostitution situation. now he is also one of those cats who always pointed his finger at others and he made alot of enemys and i bet cash money that alot of critics ain't feeling for him nowadays. i use to see this cat on Geraldo Riveria back in the day and other shows on MSNBC given up his commentary on topics and while people do make mistakes nobody likes a Dude who is a Goodie too Shoes and then turns around with more Mud than ground to walk around. Scandals and Politicians ain't nothing new especially where Sex and Power are concearned but this is a mess. you can make mistakes but be careful how you word and go about things. and I do feel for his family because nobody is every truly prepared for uncomfortable moments.

drugs in the water?
what is this about? drugs in the drinking water. now I knew my Kool-Aid was starting to taste kinda funny but here it was reported sunday on the news and the internet that over 40 places across the USA have funny substances floating in the water. i guess some people are throwing things down there toliet and it is going back into the waters. got me wondering as i go to the supermarket and see watered looking like Kool-Aid and yet some folks will say that Kool-Aid is bad for you. i have seen some funny time water over the years in various places that i have been to over the years and I was Scared to drink it. so hearing this kind of news twenty years later just has me nodding my head like I already knew that. it's a trip that the most important Drink you need is being changed and turned into something of it's chemical and whatnot. we just never know what we are drinking or eating and alot of the times the chips have to fall where they may and some folks will tell you that Coke a Cola still has Cocaine in it.

Slippers
life is one large step to follow as Ancestors
and dreams of a not to distant pass sing through
a face of pictures that while not in moving direct
your every rhythm and response of the moment and day
making turns seems like a complicated way to spend
any situation but what happens when you must
be the next person in your family to take that
lead and direct all actions?
what then becomes of the Shoes you can no longer
stand behind and then you must be the voice
of reasoning for all seasons
what then does that say about your
control and how shall you
step and will you step on others
toes??

The Wire the Finale
hard to believe that tonight marks the end of the Hbo tv drama the Wire. very compelling show that goes from the streets, police station, mayor's office and other politicians and the Newsroom and every other place in between. so many creative characters and things that have gone down on the streets of Baltimore with this show. this is one of the Most Underrated Shows ever. never getting any awards and I wonder and say out loud is it because the Show is more Black Based? I mean this show is thought Provoking pulls no punches and is a throwback show in style and feel with a strong modern day pressence and character. Great acting direction and overall depth that is so lacking on so much of modern tv. it's gonna be sad to see this Great show end tonight, but it's been 5 memorable years and hopefully the cast and crew can get bigger acting chances and hopefully this show will get it's just due in the future. this show didn't have the Hype as the Sorpranos, sex in the city, 6 feet under, and a few other noteworthy shows on HBO,but to me and my eyes it was just as important and thensome. everybody had a hustle and a deadline on this show and it all connected with so much intensity that you didn't dare miss a second and that is what a Great Show is all about and a Great Cast throughout the years.

DayLight Savings time
move that clock on up like George and Weesie. it's that time of the year already and it is starting to feel like Spring. now as a Grown man with each passing year daylight savings time doesn't effect me one way or the other, but back in the day it was a Pain in the Behind to adjust to it and the thought of losing a hour of sleep. now i prepare a day in advance with either setting the clock up a hour or one back. the one that goes back is harder to adjust to because the weather gets colder and it gets darker earlier. the Hour up catches up to me when the weather gets warmer and I tend to lose track of timing and things. outdoor activity. but anyway this weekend is the earliest that i can remember and recall for this to be happening. but anyway I'm glad to be seeing more clear skys and more Green grass and more glow in the overall sky than before.
sad to hear about these senseless Kilings
prayers and thoughts go out to Both Eve Carson student Body President for the College of North Carolina and also rapper Juvenile's 4 year old daughter. both of these storys involved the victims being Gunned down and they couldn't defend themselves and didn't ask for this. it touches and affects so many lives just as hearing about these College and School random acts of violence which have no place whatsoever. I truly believe that there is gonna come a time when everybody will have to deal with metal detectors and be finger printed,etc.... it makes for a uncomfortable world and time but this tragedys which occur more often than they ever should is making things not so easy going. prayers, thoughts and uplift go out to all losing lives over these events and the ones that never get reported in the news.

your favorite Soap Opera mine is the Young and the Restless
don't lie most of us have One. I always catch the Young and Restless. i've watch that show for the longest time. since I was a little Boy back in the day. My grandmothers both dug the show. I always kept up with the Main Characters. Victor Newman always has been my favorite.i can't stand Jack Abbott but he is a interesting character. Jill Foster Abbott, Mrs. Chancelor and other characters have captured my thoughts upon following the show. back in the day I use to dig General Hospital and the whole Luke and Laura thing was cool. it can be a trip if your own life mirrors a soap opera and that is where Maury Pouvich,Jerry springer,etc... have there place. i get to catch the evening version of the show which is cool. the Young and the Restless has a rock solid Audience and that is why it has been the best Soap Opera for so long and will continue to be the Best. what will happen with Victor and Nikki? Jack,Paul,Brad,Neil,, so many compelling storys and subject lines and you never know where the drama is gonna come from next. stay tunned
weekend is here
things to do this weekend include house work and watching Movies, listening to Music and also reading books. but this weekend will be on the Mellow tip until I get up and start rolling. that is the fun thing about the weekend to me and that is to just pick and do what I want which is always cool about having that choice. i will be making phone calls as well which is always alot of fun unless I get a conversation which makes me have to think too much. you never know about those things and they are all family related. each weekend is bringing it one step closer to spring which I've been waiting for since when it got all cold some months back. the Electric Bill is also gonna welcome in spring and especially Summer and that is for sure. good to get stuff done and relax but the weekend tends to bring that out of me.

out of the dark
into a great window and all the air allows the mind to breath
new found energy that creates and bridges a wealth of mental
Pride that seeks to capture unknown territory and
shall make the soul feel entirely whole
never running from the light because
a shadow of blaze smiles into my eyes
and glasses won't cover the clouds
that can hang over
but i'm not blinded by
the dim shades either

Forbes Magazines Billionaires list
yeah I said Billionaire list. hard to believe that Bill Gates dropped to 3rd place. the 23 year old dude who founded Facebook.com is on the list at 1.5 billion in net worth. yeah Billions of dollars and you can never spend all of that money in even 10 lifetimes with taken care of your whole family,friends,etc.... the thing is people get excited over wealth and money does talk big time, but at the same time finding out how one gets to that particular point of incredible wealth. every year these type of storys run and do we even rub elbows with these People? interestingly we all have a hand in one's networth without actually having a day to day interaction directly. most of the time we hear about Famous people in the entertainment field and there networth but we don't hear about the real folks behind those very curtains who truly are living large. that is a very compelling in itself.

when Money talks
where does it all go and what did I just buy and why?
have moments when I want to rewind the clock and lock my wallet
and then time flies and I sing outloud! what did I just spend my loot on
and where did that come from again?
not all the things I seek or sought have significant meaning or long term value
but at this time and moment they represent all that is right in the World
within my being and yet five minutes later I could care less
and the very thought of that said item being a after thought
where did the Greenbacks all go again??

another American Idol controversey
well it has come out that Singer David Hernandez is a former stripper dancer. Idol has had controversey before though back in 03 they ran off Frenchie the singer. this is always interesting when a show like Idol needs some drama to sell the show.American Idol needs some buzz because on a whole the particpants aren't all that good. there are a few Good Singers and maybe 1-2 great ones in there, but not enough to keep the hype factor going. thing is, Idol is embracing the TMZ/Tabloid element that is Selling there show and we all know that Randy, Paula and Randy have there own side shows going on and you can throw Ryan in the mix as well. but American Idol is almost a decade deep and they have survived through all kinds of alliegations andwhatnot and this latest episode will just add to there legacy. we all enjoy the drama and we will watch it all play itself out one way or the other but have we even got the best drama yet from American Idol? stay tunned because i believe even more is coming but for now we are gonna get bits and pieces and always kind of rough and Pitchy.
Hillary Clinton is the comeback kid
win or lose you gotta tip your cap to Hillary Clinton making some noise right when it appeared the plug was about to be pulled from her run. she took 3 out of 4 states last night fron Barack Obama including Texas and Ohio which were huge. the thing is that he can't seem to put her away and yet he is winning the places in between, but she is capturing the big big places. this has been the most compelling race for a Nomination ever in my lifetime and i can't recall of hearing of another bid for a nomination having this many twists and turns. you can say that Hillary Clinton has comeback 2-3 times already including last night. she can put up a fight and battle. no matter what happens here on out the fact is Hillary Clinton is gonna be a force to be reckon with and she is as tough as they come as a Politician. she is Badd on the SHo Nuff tip.

Brett Favre retires
talk about hearing something that nearly knocked me out like a feather? Favre is still on top of his game as Quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. He is the all time leader in Consecetive Games played, touchdown passes thrown and other records along with winning 3 MVP's and winning a Super Bowl and being a Runner up in another one. He is retiring at age 38 which is very young in real time, but usually considered in the twilight of a Athlete's career but Favre still has another 2-3 years in the arm of his,but sometimes the body says better shut it down. what will the Packers be without Favre? hard to imagine because Brett Favre is from that School of Larry Bird, Pete Rose in that He poured every ounce of his soul and self into the game and the fan truly respects that attitude. lunch bucket and hardwork. Favre is One of the All time Greatest NFl Players Period. a timeless Great player who has left a lasting mark on the game, still never ready for the news but wishing him and his family all the best and he has had to deal with so much in recent years and he is a Fighter. and a Winner.
Super Tuesday Poll voting day
big showdown today between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. today is a make or break day and this could go a long ways towards the fate of the democratic nomination. Hillary clinton needs a big time night. though she isn't done technically if she loses big tonight it could be lights out. meanwhile on the republican side John Mccain can seal up his bid as the Winner on the republican side and prepare for his showdown. Mccain locked up the Republican nomination. Mccain made history and is the comeback kid.the delegates is what sealed the deal for him. I've been into these tuesdays and waiting to see what would go down,etc... i stayed glued to Cnn to watch all of the latest results. this is a compelling year in politics to say the least. and we aren't even into the final two that speaks volumes about the run for the office in 08.

March is finally here
and will the weather warm up or will it be a continuous feeling of winter? the good news is that Baseball is coming back. that means grilling, and hopefully more out door activity. March starts the season of a early feeling spring and it has a sentiment of fresh scent and flowers starting to show some glow. quite a few family members of mine have birthdays in the particular month. believe me March is a Month I never forget. then you got the College Basketball FInal 64 tournamnet which really really gets my March groove going as I participate in pools.i've come close though I have never won in any Pool as of yet. when I was in school March was always the halfway point of the year and it meant that the year was halfway over and I started to daydream about my plans for spring and SUmmer. alot going on in March and let the Maddness begin.
Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield part 3??
say it ain't so but word is that Evander Holyfield has been in touch with Mike Tyson about doing battle for a 3rd installment to add to there previous 2 battles. there first fight was tight with Holyfield knocking tyson out in the 11nth round. the follow up fight is the one where Holyfield head butted Tyson and tyson went on to Bite Holyfield's ear off which left alot of faces in awe and also ear muffs sold a whole bunch that week. now hearing this news i said that if this was 1998 then I'd be cool with it,though ten years back both fighters were already past there prime and peak. word also is that Mike Tyson wants Jamie Foxx to Protray him in a film on his life which should be very interesting. Tyson for me was the most Compelling Sports Figure from the 80's through now because with him you never knew what he was gonna do. these guys are two all time great champions who had different ways of reaching the top. but I don't want to see this now. just say no at this point. maybe a reality tv show I'd buy that but no more boxing gloves with these guys. but then again Boxing has fallen off so badly that this fight might actual sell and that tells me that the sport is missing some real Contenders.
NBA MVP who's da Man?
Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Chris Paul and Kevin Garnett all have a strong arm up on getting the MVP trophy this year so who you got?
the Lakers are playing Great and Kobe Bryant who probably should have had one trophy already is arguably the front runner.
He is playing Great and is arguably the best Player going today. what has worked against him is his attitude and the media working against him. His mouth has hurt him in the past but this year things are looking far better than opening night.
Lebron James having another Great year and he is pushing the Cavilers again for another run in the post season. what works againt Lebron is that he is only 23 and the feeling is that he will stack up plenty of MVP's in the future.
Chris Paul New Orleans Hornets he is arguably the Best Point Guard going as we speak. his season has been incredible. he has elevated his game and continues to thrive. what works against him is that New Orleans hardly gets televised games. but New Orleans is the truth.
Kevin Garnett Boston celtics he has help bring the Celtics back to respectiablity. before he got hurt he was the early season MVP Leader. Garnett Won a MVP back in 04. what works against him is that he plays with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. but he should get strong consideration.
I've always felt that Eastern Conference and Western Conference should have there own MVP's. I think it's hard some years to just say one is the end all be all.
this is the best NBA season in a long, Long time and only time will tell how things shape up but the MVP voting is as debateable as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obma's race in the democratic run for nomination. could be a photo finish, though i get the feeling Kobe Bryant got it on lock. it seems like it is his to lose. he deserves it but i also feel Lebron James chris Paul can say the same. Mino Ginobli olf the San Antonio spurs can make a argument though playing with Tim Duncan and Tony Parker works against him in some circles but still he is balling this year.

Robert Irvine got let go by Food Network
i often watch the show dinner impossible and i dig what Robert Irvine does. so today i was shocked to find that Irvine had been let go by the Food Network because they said his resume was fradulant and he had fabricated and exaggerated certain jobs at the White House and also at other places. I feel that he is a Great Cook and he deserves another chance, but the Food Network is known for pulling the plug on folks who exaggerate. it happen in there next food star competition when a participant lied and he was later dis-qualified from the remaining constants. i understand why anybody would exaggerate on a resume because you might not get that chance and lets be real, alot of people have stretched things to get a job. Irvine isn't the first and he certainly won't be the last. Dinner Impossible won't be quite the same and they are gonna finish up the remaining episodes with Irvine in them. the show has been on for 4 years. i wasn't expecting this news. i feel they should handle him on the low,but not fire him. but that is just me.
went to a baptisim this weekend
my Wife and family including myself went to a baptisim for my Wife's Niece's son's first birthday and also for his Birthday. seeing a Baptisim upclose and personal is a strong spiritual expereince and very rewarding. the Priest did a fantastic job. the baby was all over the place but yet when the actual ceremony water part came up the baby was calmed. I truly enjoyed the full ceremony and enjoyed the whole event. it took a while to get to the place and the directions weren't the best. but upon being there the whole event was special and you could feel the joy. it was a wonderful time and memorable had by all.
