friends with dreams

friends with dreams are like money and fame

joys with highs and never touching the ground

many a sound comes ringing through the pockets

dollars never scream but that very paper

captures the undivided attention and leaves

it's mark and how do you ever compete

with that?

what reality are you where you

have to re think and debate within yourself?

if your friends value you then is that wealth

or do you only want to be with the In crowd??

Leap day Febuary 29nth

today is the febuary 29nth and sometimes events such as Birthdays, weddings and special occasions happen on this particular day. every 4 years this particular day comes and it is interersting to come across people who have something to celebrate on this day. the thought of leap year always captures my attention. i use to always look at the calendar all funny because I said the 29nth? One day that truly comes out of leftfield but in a good way. i asked people today what are there plans on this particular day just to get some feedback because it truly is interesting. maybe it is just another day,but somehow seeing and going through that one extra day in Febuary does make me notice and think. just curious have you ever had a memorable event on the 29nth of Febuary? but then again January,March,April, may, june, july, august, september, october, november and december 29nth might have a special meaning for you as well.

MMA coming to CBS

word came out today that CBS is going to have Mix martial arts on saturday nights. a Mainstream network is showcasing mix martial arts. bloodsports and other violent sports are always pushed toward a younger market and audience though there are older fans of the sport as well. the fight club mentality is huge across the nation and people get into it. i enjoy watching some of it here and there but it feels funny when a major network jumps on board. but then again it might work on a saturday night. i expect people to tune in and feel the buzz. i've mainly watched this sport on foxx sports over the years. it is very intense. imagine a conservative network like CBS jumping on this bandwagon?? we shall see.

starbucks re-tooling up

interesting that yesterday that StarBucks took 3 hours off to re-train there staff due to slumps in business and also because of outside competition. I mean even the might Starbucks is acknowledging a drop off. now they are also saying that if they don't get your coffee right the first time then a free drink is on them. oh How I love the word free and how many times have i gotten hustled over a bad drink and when I asked for a exchange, talk about Eyes rolling and I catch the Invisble Purse upside my head as if Aunt esther from Sanford and son was looking at me all glassy eyed.now I just pass by starbucks because I don't really get down with coffee and Starbucks ain't never been my thing though I did get hyped when Magic Johnson bought some starbucks. anyway this is a good and most places should do the same thing and up there game up.

wrigley field has new ownership and what happens

to Baseball stadium names once they are bought by owners who want to change them? can you look at Chicago's wrigley field the same or Yankee stadium or fenway Park in Boston under a different name? what happens if your favorite sports team with a history of a name in a particular ball park has there name changed and how does it make you feel? many sports stadiums and arenas are called after airlines or other corperate places,etc... I mean a stadium and a Arena is only a Name right? well remember the ball park that the Baseball Houston Astros ballpark was once called Enron Field? funny how that turned out huh? Sam Zell owns the Chicago Cubs and he is looking to change the name of Wrigley Field. i mean the cubs ain't won a championship in 99 years and this year marks a 100 years so maybe going under a different name might make a change. I mean at least there won't be a curse associated under the name of the ball park. the ball park is still the same.

Wounded Star

upon the stares look down at you and the feelings

what captures your being at this state of your life?

what motivates your strange mirror of tears?

if you were setting yourself off the image of the Moon

would it be half or Full of light in your eyes??

tonight I pray as if tommorow were one

bird chirp away and it became day

as the Night danced into it's own clouds

now I shall rise and feel what is next

and hopefully the pain of the unknown

will be nameless

Floyd Mayweather wrestling for 20 million dollars

call it crazy or hey take the money and run. Boxing Champion FLoyd Mayweather is gonna step into a wrestling ring for 20 million dollars and i say get a pay day when you can. now some purists or people who can't stand wrestling might have issues with this, but Mayweather is going after a straight up pay day and it makes sense. i mean Wrestling is huge box office and he can make a pay day in this with what might take 2-3 fights. of course if he were to fight Oscar De Lay Hoya in a re-match chances are he could see 20 million. but this isn't the first time that a Boxing Champion has stepped into the wrestling Ring. Muhammad Ali did it for a Exhibition back in 1977. Mayweather is looking beyond Boxing to further sell his name and stock and I think that is a wise move because Fighting doesn't last forever and golden pay days certainly don't.

Water in My eyes

that pour upon hearing words that strike me down

i walk around and dance alone trying to feel a smile

like a Phone that rings and I seek to dial

and I can't feel pure calm as my nerves

tap dance and leave my stomach

empty and all of these emotions

touch a core of my soul that words

aren't gonna ever replace

i need the sentiment to shed

joy instead of build in rain

that overcomes me even in the

Tiger Woods still doing the thing

the Most Dominat Athlete of my lifetime and he just keeps on doing his thing. I mean no other athelete has so dominated his sport as much as this guy during my lifetime. I have seen Great Athletes in other sports through the years and they have left lasting impressions,etc.. but Tiger woods still is out of this world with the way he is so commanding and we are talking year after year and event after event. his opponents just stare in Awe like the fans. it's powerful to the mental landscape to know you are so Great and you have no peers. i mean at only age 32 he has already surpassed Arnold Palmer's major wins. i mean we are talking about the Great Arnold Palmer being passed up on Wins. Tiger is chasing History and He will get it.for me Sundays ain't complete from the sports perspective if Tiger Woods ain't holding a trophy and Smiling. it just comes with the teritory and you just expect him to always Win.

tipping on a night out on the town

so going out to dinner and waiting for the services and seeing how it is presented. the thing is put yourself in the server's shoes and knowing the taxes and things that go down and knowing that not much actual money is made per hour as to per customer. so what is the fair amount to give? what do you feel is the actual value for services of extra food, personality, and overall good natured skills?? I have had some good to great hostess over the years and then I have had Poor to horrible servers and some ok ones as well. now come tip time expressions and exchanges become interesting. I will tip beyond the norm with great service as was the case on a recent night out. but i have also dropped basic coins on Poor services. the quality of service sometimes overrides the actual meal. a Good Meal is good and important, but quality services brings you back and you will tell people you are cool with.customer service goes a long way.

Barrack Obama rooting for him

yeah i feel he can win and talking to friends of mine we are truly believing he can win. i think because of the ngative nature of living in America anf the nations ugly past it is hard to iamgine a Black President and lets be real we have been conditioned to think and believe that. but i GOTTA SAY that Obama has made a believer out of me and I'm rooting hard for the Brother to win and go all the way to Washington. i think it is a Great time being in America and the spirit that is feeling the whole nation is wonderful. Barrack Obama is a Breath of Fresh Air. His Wife is a Incredible human being as well. He and his family are very blessed. I respect Hillary Clinton and I hope that she can be Barrack's Vice President. but Change is now and like the song that Obama uses from Stevie Wonder "Signed,Sealed and Delievered" Obama can be our Next Leader and He should get that chance. still can't believe that a Black Man might actually be president and the day when I don't have to say that will be even a Greater day. now Racism will never end, but having a Barrack Obama leading the way will encourage and impact so many younger souls that will say you can be anything you want to with hard work and dedication and belief. always dream and never say can't but the question should be why can't I do??

The Oscars

well tonight is the night for that long winded hack show. i truly can't stand the oscars. gla dthe writers strike is over though I wish it was over like the day right after the Oscars. the show lasts way too long and it isn't even about the Winners. all folks remember is what somebody was wearing or who they were with. fact is alot of the films are forgotten but performances are more remembered and that is usually the case. i can't stand the hosts they get for the show either. only Billy crystal in recent memory has been cool, everything else after him has been wack and tired. how a show goes on for 3 plus hours and doesn't really represent a whole lot is amazing to me. I will be pulling for Ruby Dee to night and I do want to see the film "Juno" but on a whole not enough interesting films. i can't even remember the last time I was even hyped about the Academy Awards and I have always felt they haven't done near enough for Black Actors and Acretress's in acknowledging roles for consideration for Nominations and Wins, but that is a whole different topic. anyway the Only Oscar I care about is a Oscar Meyer Hot dog and that Mustard doesn't last long.

unexpected good weather

didn't see this coming and am i happy or what?? getting to play Pick up Basketball and Football games and just enjoying the sunshine and drinking Kool aid. the breeze is cool and laid back. folks came out left and right and it feels more like late spring than the near late middle of Winter. now i know this weather all to well where it could be raining or even threaten to be snowing as early as the next couple of days so i take the warm outbrust with a grain of Salt, though however I welcome it and will be participating in much outdoor activity. a big ole smile comes across my face as i get my bike out and just watch the sun shine and I be grinning. even eating some grill food in Febuary?? that's what I like.

Memphis versus Tennesse College Basketball

Number 1 versus number 2 Rival Schools in the same state. Memphis is 26-0 trying to be the first perfect College basketball team in a season since the 1976 Idiana Hoosers accomplished that feat. Memphis is trying to finish what the NFL New England Patriots couldn't do and that is go from start to finish undefeated. so much has to happen and you never know if injury or that rare game from the other team might stand in your way. this game is so huge that Tennesse Alum Quarterback SuperStar Payton Manning had to hustle to get tickets for this game. so much is at stake and you never know how things are gonna go. this is like a Heavyweight fight and we aren't even into the final 64 tournament. regardless of the outcome this game is living up the hype. the Pro Game and the College Game are both on point this past week.

it was the other night and without thinking much i was wondering about should i get a pair of biniculars and see if I catch the Eclipse. now whenever I catch the rainbow or something magical in the sky it truly catches my full attention. it doesn't happen but when it does happen it can be the talk amongest people for a day or so. we are always interested in all that the sky will and shall Provide us. so much in the galaxy that truly captures our collective imagination and then some. i actually was looking forward to this and hoping to catch this. i like to look to the sky and just visualize all the concepts and beautiful possibilitys.

Thriller 25 is number 2 on the Pop charts this week

WOW! no matter how you slice and dice it the fact that as I type in 2008 that Thriller a Album that is over 25 years old still in a new re-mix up-dated formation is the number 2 album in the nation. it speaks to the Musical Genius of Michael Jackson and his timeless Impact on Music as we know it. Thriller is the Greatest album Ever made to me personally and it is timeless. now I ain't feeling the re-mix album per se,but I gotta say that Michael Jackson shows that the buying public will always keep there ears open to his work. the album did well over a 100 thousand in Album sales. the power of a classic album still speaks to people no matter what the technilogy or whatever is happening now. there are many new acts out now that with all the money and hype involved ain't seeing a 100 thousand sales despite all the push and hype. Props always to Michael Jackson.

Lakers and Suns tonight Shaq versus Kobe

the longest running current Soap Opera in the NBA gets back into Primetime tonight as the Phoenix Suns host the Los Angless Lakers. Shaquille O'Neal faces his former team the LA lakers and his former running teammate Kobe Bryant and Former Coach Phil Jackson. oh this is gonna be must see watching for any NBA fan especially the Casual Fan. so much at stake as both teams look to make a strong statement and there is a good chance both teams will collide in the Post Season for a shot at a Championship run. Shaq and Kobe were always interesting times during there Championship years. the run and gun Suns have the Diesel in the Low Post to toughen themselves up. the Lakers with Pau Gasol and Andre Bynum coming back soon will give the lakers alot of size on the front court with Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher in the back court and Lamar Odom up front. the Phoenix Suns have Steve Nash, Amarie Staudimire and Raja Bell and the Offensive creativity of Mike Dantoni the head coach of the Suns. tonight's game feels more like May/June with the intensity and so much at stake in the highly charged Western conference.

Going back to work after a long weekend

the mental preparation is so extreme to just get back into the Groove. I mean having friday evening through Monday evening off is something else once in a while. problem is that on tuesday I feel like it is Monday. my day is thrown upside down because that one lost day which is nice to enjoy with whatever you might be doing, can still throw you off. had to get back to my rhythm and i mean that because you get use to a routine and have a certain pattern of doing some things. etc..... getting back to getting mail out of my mail box and you know the one missed day means a stuffed mailbox. remember the days before the internet when all that mail went directly into your mail box on the day after a holiday? oh those days seem so long ago and yet they weren't unless you are a Kid who was born within the past decade and then hearing about a stuffed Mail box seems as long ago as saying ET Phone Home?? but anyway sorting out the mail, bills and getting back to the day and Night routine. but the next weekend is forthcoming and I will hyped again and can't wait.

Bus Ride in the Light

Never had a Second thought
never thought twice about my coin
being taken never thought twice
about where i was gonna sit,
never thought who was on the bus
all i know it was a warm sunny early
morning and people were talking
never envisoned having to move
here or there because my skin
was considered a sin
never cared to hear what anyone was saying
one way or the other as the driver
viewed me through there mirror
all i thought of was going to work
never thought that one civil rights bill
was passed for me to sit where i wanted
and as i entered another place
where another civil rights bill was
passed that allowed me to be
there a Ride in the day
sheds so much
Light!

Schools and Restaurants Pulled a ton of Beef

heard recently that United States department of Agruculture pulled a 143 million pounds of Beef from Schools and Restaurants. interesting thing about this is that school food for me was always like pulling teeth. it was always a struggle and battle just to chew and swallow. i would be in the hurts. restaurants can't recall a last time bad meal from eating beef out,but then again i hardly go out that much because I likes more home cooked meals. this mess always goes down every 6 months it seems and then it goes away until a new case or sickness comes again. Beef is like Steriods and it ain't going anywhere. you just eat and hope you are alright and don't have to pop Pepto half the night. I mean it's always a dicy gamble with whatever you eat especially certain meats and cuts. interesting how all of this is a on going battle and there is never any middle ground.

NBA All Star Weekend

the first time in a long time the NBA All Star Weekend finally lived up to the Hype. the whole event happen in the Great City of New Orleans and though New Orleans is far from recovered from Katrina, it is making some steps in the right direction. the Slam Dunk Contest was the best in a long, long time. the other events such as the skills event and the 3 point contest were on point. the game itself though was the best in along time. Lebron James Won the MVP Award and He was Balling. he helped the East win and believe me that was a huge statement when you consider all the latest trades and movements over the past few weeks within the West. the Halftime Show was cool as well. after NBA Scandals of game fixing by a former referee, watered down teams and some suspect generic playing players it finally looks like the game is making a turn for the better, but we gotta see how it all turns out. but this weekend was fun and I haven't said that about Pro Basketball in quite a while.

Andy Pettitte what next?

back to the New York Yankess camp after the past few weeks dealing with Congress and the whole ordeal with his buddy Roger Clemens and the Trainer who is involved in this steriod HGB mess. what happens next for Pettitte and how will his teammates and the rest of the baseball family and fans embrace him?? his teammate Jason Giambi had his own situation with jucing a few years back and he didn't really face much resistance, though his career has fallen off and the Yankees were trying to buy his contract out. some people might call Pettitte a Snitch, some might say he is only covering his own back and some like myself will say that Andy has just stayed cool and never really stepped out of Pocket per se. it's always gonna be connected with him,but since he is considered a Good Pitcher and not a Great Pitcher then it will come and go after a while. the thing about Steriods,etc... is that the bigger the name the longer the tag of maybe jucing stays with you. fair or not and I truly believe in time somebody and some drug is gonna come along that makes HGB and Steriods seem like Bubble Yum. right now that is hard to imagine, but did anybody forsee this 15-20 years back??

the right toothbrush

got a new toothbrush over the weekend and it includes a tongue scrapper which is very effective and it is needed in those hard to reach places. not trying to walk around with hot, funky toxic breath you know what I mean? but getting a new toothbrush and some good toothpaste and just following a good routine is good for the soul. I go through so many toothbrushes and not many have the standards to meet what I truly want in the big picture. how many minutes to spend and get a solid brush and feeling good after reflects the right Toothbrush. i always go to Wallgreens or other places looking for the most complete toothbrush and yet not trying to over spend. it's a Process all unto itself. but when you get the right toothbrush and groove with one you feel so much better.

President's day weekend

well it is Monday and this President's day weekend holiday has flown by and talk about a interesting past few days with the weather and current events? president's day is usually promoted in ways to spend more money and rightfully so with Presidents all on the dollar bills. interestingly i hardly think of this particular holiday aside from maybe having it off or seeing places advertise about product at malls for sale,etc..... of course i know off the bat not to go walking to my mailbox looking for anything, but this holiday just kinda comes out of nowhere on me and then i forget all about it. but is a Historical salute but yet everyday is President's day when you see the familiar faces on the Green Backs. could there be a bigger honor to always be remebered from then that? if so please explain?? just talking from a Mere Human Being perspective.

had some Popeyes chicken the other night

sitting up and just chewing on some Bird from Popeyes and thinking out loud which place is better out of Popeyes and Kentucky Friend Chicken? needed a coin to flip, but give me a drum stick or a wing from each place and I could pick one. it's like if you go to Burger King and then you might wonder what about Mcdonalds or wendys.etc...... it's only human nature to ponder what the other place offers and why I go there?? oh and I got the Popeyes chicken on a good deal family pack style. food like Music,film,etc.... always brings out the critic in me and sometimes i just can't help it. i guess it's part of the DNA. HA!HA! anyway the Bird is better to get your Grub on at the place as to waiting until you get to the crib. but a Greasy Bag or a Bucket does bring a smile to my face. finger licking good. even had a plastic Pipe out and had to do the Popeye the Sailor Man salute.

Northern Illinois tragedy

hearing about this 27 year old former student going back to the lecture hall and killing 5 people before killing himself is just scary this is happening quite a bit and sooner rather than later college campus's will have people being checked for weapons and other things because this is just the latest and it is truly sad and wastes of human life and what are the reasons again? the attacker seemed like a well rounded guy but it was found out that he had stopped taken his medication about two weeks ago. he had his weapon inside of a Guitar case. violence is in places we least expect and this kind of tragedy needs to be stopped. my prayers and Sentiments go out to all who lost loved ones, friends,etc... it is so sad to turn on the news and hear this.

Daytona 500 and the NBA All star game

more than likely i will be watching the Daytona 500 which is considered the Super Bowl of Race Car driving. the NBA All Star which once upon a time I use to get hyped about has long ago lost it's appeal to me because the game is way too corporate and the guys don't even start balling until the last 5 minutes of the game. when it comes to Pro Sports All Star games only Major League Baseball still holds my interest somewhat. i didn't want to watch the NFl Pro Bowl game. what Hockey did on New Years day with a outside game is what the NBA should consider doing for the All Star weekend maybe in Rucker's park or somewhere where the game could be played out doors instead of the guarded up atmosphere it has increasingly become over the years. the Last NBA All Star game that moved me was back in 92 when Magic Johnson truly was Magical. Daytona 500 though is something else and it is very compelling from start to finish.

Congress and sports please stop it now

we are in the middle of the early part of a Election and hopefully everything wll be smooth come November through January. and we have the long running War and Iraq. tired of hearing about Baseball and Steriods. Roger Cleamens is on tv everyday and his former trainer. and now the NFL Commis and the whole Spygate thing involving the New England Patriots which is a waste of time. truth is what can you exactly Prove again? who is gonna be dumb enough to lie on Captiol Hill and face a Perjury charge,etc...?? i mean it seems that the Sports Page is more closer to the front page. what happen to the day in Sports where you had a occasional situation but not a everyday occurance?? it's not many people doing anything, but the whole sport gets a paint brush of wrong doing and when big names are involved the preception that almost all others are somehow connected. oh how I would like it if this mess would just go away because you can't bring back the past and it's hard to Prove this or that. I say just take everybody on that new fox Show the Moment of truth and let them sort it out. tired of this mess in the sports page and on sports tv,etc......

the writers Strike is Over

finally Writers will get back to work in Hollywood and it is long overdue. it never occurs to the average person just how important the writers truly are. i mean i have watched some award shows recently and quite a few of these celebritys wouldn't know there left foot from there right foot if they didn't have someone to tell them which foot was. now it depends on the shows you like. some are gonna take a while longer to get back on the air and only a few were already in the can. but seeing how sad some of these people were on tv and without a cue card it was truly hard to hear. the writers deserve all the money on dvd's, cable,etc... there is so much money being made and there is plenty to spread around. hopefully the quality of shows will pick up and be elevated. all people matter and there is plenty to go around.

Brittney Griner 6 foot 8 High School basketball player

so i was watching ESPN and they had clips from last night and they showed this High School girl from Houston,Texas who is 6 foot 8, wears a Men's size 18 shoe and she dunks with no Problem. she is a foot shorter than Houston Rocket Center Yao Ming. last night She had 29 points, 12 rebounds, 11 block shots and 9 assits. she plays for Nimitz High School and lets just say she is gonna be getting alot of calls from Colleges for her to sign up. size spurts are always amazing and when you hear about it from a female on this level it is even more WOW! there is even talk about her maybe one day being able to play in the NBA. one of these days there will be a female playing in the Nba. Height is something you can't teach and having skills is even more special. the sky is the limit for the Young Lady if Progress and drive are the main factors. i saw the clips on ESPN and also on Youtube.com and thought WOW!! she towers and dominates the High school level. it will be interesting how this story plays itself out.

Herbie Hancock Won Album of the year

Herbie Hancock Won the Grammy for Album of the year over Kayne West and others. the thing is that it has turned into somewhat of a big deal. Hancock is a Great Musician and hasn't always gotten his due. this is the first Jazz album in 43 years to Win Album of the year at the Grammys. makes me wonder why? Kayne West will be around for a while. though he ain't got half the talent of Hancock. Herbie can go to the piano and do Kayne's whole thing whereas all Kayne can do to herbie's music is sample it. the show was boring to me for the most part. but it is good to see a Music Legend being acknowledged. i don't care about who wins awards per se because it's all argumentive unless you happen to make a Album like "Thriller" which you can't deny, but this was cool results last night.

S.T.E.A.L=Something that Earth,Angels Love

Power to Wise and better any Human Being out there

Wrongs find the Spirits and Better your Foundation

enter the Soul of Communication cherish an Everlasting love

tommorow is near and I can feel the Union of Minds as One

you can feel the Birds, Bees and Butterflys seeking and feeling

the tone of pitch of voices and eyes that are one and the same

in a Groove and like a song the harmonys and textures are from

a source beyond and enlighten to the deepest matters and

enrich our Universe

The Grammys are on tonight

the Grammys are on which i tend to call the Grannys because they seem so removed from time to me and ain't mattered in so long it ain't even funny. still i find myself watching and out of curiosity at who will perform and if there is a surprise element. I use to truly enjoy the Gospel showcase of the show. but the actual awards themselves are fake and predictable to me. i mean Milli Vannelli Won Best New Artists?? and lets not forget some almost 20 years back how the Grammys didn't even want to acknowledge Rap Music and then turned cold toward R&B as well. the only thing that made me watch the Grammys in the first place was Michael Jackson because he dominated the 84 ones with his then record 8 awards and Thriller couldn't be denied. well tonight there might be a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Thriller. now back in the day Stevie Wonder was huge on the show and I use to watch for him and his performances and other artists, but something about the show has always felt like a inside joke or sorts. but having said all of that and despite how they tried to diss Napster and other file-sharing technilogy usages, etc and now they have to embrace it all. but anyway I will check it out until it gets boring which shouldn't take that long. more categorys as the years pass and overall less quality music and there isn't a fair balance IMO. but anyway I will check what this year's show has to offer.not expecting much though and that is sad.

the Poets theme

many words are like fire and then they turn into Rain

january through December many feelings and Sentiments

create a theme of timely and lasting Pain

how do words pour like salt and Pepper and yet

never are visable but have the lasting stick

and like a aftertaste it tends to linger and enlighten

a new theme and a worldwind of creativity feels

like 4th of july sparkles in the air and the mind

is asked to digest and capture those moments

but what becomes of the writer and the meanings?

what becomes of being eager to compose but

fearful of what the dynamics of those thoughts

just may mean??

early Spring Cleaning

well this year i wanted to start the new year off with a change and that meant cleaning out so much stuff that i have had over the years. actually about 4 years back i started cleaning out stuff, but really picked back up on it early to mid last year and then went full steam ahead from the start of this year through now and sure feels good. it brings in new energy and opens up for better days and nights ahead. I truly feel unloaded various things is the way to go. i mean some times you have to cleanse yourself of the past to better cope with the present and thereafter. i needed to make space and it does clear out the mind and soul I truly feel and believe that. it doesn't have to be Spring to be inspired either and that is a good thing, because by the time Spring rolls around I hope to maintain and just keep room and allow areas to breath. it feels like a whole new World with running out to the trash area and tossing things away. when i do throw stuff away i have to ask myself what took so long again and why did i hang on to that or this for so long again??

Brian Mcnamee and Roger Clemens Soap Opera

if you are following this mess in Congress then you are ready for both guys to go on the new Fox Show the Moment or truth and lets find out who is lying and telling the truth,etc.... already Mcnamee has said he injected Roger Clemens 16 times over the years with HGH and other Steriods,etc... and he has photos and says he has other evidence and now he claims he injected Clemens Wife Debbie who did a photo shoot for Sports Illistraded last Fall. I mean there is so many twists and turns in this mess. Roger Clemens should be given the benefit of the doubt, but things aren't looking so good for him. still I feel He is a Hall of Fame Pitcher and the Best Right Handed Pitcher that I have Ever Seen. but Congress is no joke and they are coming on strong and who has the best credibility. both Mcnamee and Clemens have told there storys to Investigators of congress and it will be interesting how it all will play itself out,but it seems everyday there is a new storyline. this is better than a Soap Opera and there is a Cliffhanger in here. a former Cop turned Trainer and a All time Great Baseball Pitcher. you couldn't have written a better script.

the Recruit Hoax

well if you are a sports fan then you have heard about the High School Player Kevin Hart who is a Offensive lineman in Nevada who said he got two offers from Cal university and Oregon. and then today he said it was all made up. now I was waiting for Auston Kucher and his Punk'D crew and camera said hey, we got you. i mean this Kid had the press and cameras at his High School gym cheering him on,etc.... i couldn't believe hearing the whole story unfold that he had been mis-lead by a agent and he had gotten taken for a ride and it turns out this Kid pulled a real April Fool's day joke on many. now what is gonna happen here? and what will be the effects to the schools used in this particular Hoax? this is just a mess and while there is humor somewhere to be found in it, the way it comes back is not a good look.

watched Groundhog day the other day

watched GroundHog day the other day as I do every febuary and I think about the way things always happen the same over and over again on a day to day basis. a movie which can reflect the sameness and also can reflect your own life. Bill Murray does a Great job in the film, but the sameness of getting up at 6 in the morning and doing the same routine over and over and how you see and feel things out is so interesting. the film was about seperating your own ego from yourself and allowing another voice and person to shine light toward you and I think that is so powerful. messages and lessons learned. sometimes a film can make you reflect on something that just might be a reflection of yourself and we all have daily and nightly routines and sometimes we don't even realize it. i often get called "RainMan" and the way I tended to especially in the past do or eat certain things on certain days,etc.... sometimes Art is Life withing your own director's camera and vision.

Shaquille O'Neal going to Phoenix

any and everybody who knows me knows that I'm a Huge fan of Shaq. He is the Greatest NBA Player Ever to me. he has done it all and Won it all. kicked to the curb by the Los Angeless Laker and now the Miami Heat. but when Motivated nobody can't stop Shaq. the Suns for all of the Greatness of Steve Nash and Amarie Staudmire.etc... just were a Winning team in the regular season but never were able to go beyond so adding Shaq brings some much needed size in the glass. over the past few years the San Antonio Spurs have Won championships and have bounced the Suns out of the post season. so the Suns brass made a strong statement today and i truly feel that Shaq has something to Prove. SHaq and Dwyane Wade in Miami along with Alonzon Morning and team along with Coach Pat Riley Won it all,but Shaq and Riley hit the end of there road. if you are gonna hire a hand for a run at a possible Championship run than SHaq is a good bet to put your money on.

Report Card day

oh the days of report cards. as a parent i look forward to seeing what my Kid has done over the course of 9 weeks. house rules are simple don't bring no Ducks or FLags which mean no D's or F's. now that doesn't mean that words starting with D or F ain't used and weren't used at some of my report cards when i was a kid. but you do have higher standardss as a parent i believe. now I get more excited and hyped behind Progress reports than Report Cards and with all the testing going on now you just can't really tell what is what fully. but there is something about getting your hands on a report card. in Adult life it means making it past the 3 month time period at a job to see if you are wanted beyond the time period. in other words there is always a Report Card coming your way as a Kid to Adulthood. always a day to see if you can get a A or if you get a F which is a Flag. of course there have been days when we have Satisfaction and there are other times when we feel Incomplete.

Super Tuesday

will Super Tuesday match the intesity of the Super Bowl Sunday? nail biting and alot of sweat wondering and thinking what might or what could happen. Super Tuesday is gonna be tight in the Democratic race as the incredible debates and spirited battles between Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton is very intense. on the Republican side Mccain and Romney are going at it as well. will it be a last second victory for someone or will it be a done deal early on?? tuesday will be the Super Bowl of the Politicians. the picture shall become more clearly as the polls close and things start to come in. so many issues and so much to decide on what matters and what means the most. i expect things to be really tight and hopefully when people do vote they pick the person they best feel can be a effective leader. this will be a memorable political year regardless of where you come down on the choices. alot of touchdowns to get but lets hope we don't get anymore Fumbles out of DC.

congradulations to the New York Giants and thoughts

i wouldn't call it a Upset because the New York Giants are truly a very talented team. there defense stayed aggresive on the New England Patriots and never let Tom Brady breath. the game was close and a very rounded defensive battle though in all honesty the New York Giants were clearly the better team on the field at least for one night. congradulations though to the New ENgland Patriots for having a 18&1 record. no matter what they had a remarkable season and just came up a bit short. back to back years of Manning Brothers Winning Super Bowls. also super Bowl MVP Awards as well. Payton and Eli this year. Michael Strahorn got his ring and Props.

the super bowl commericals didn't really do a whole lot for me. I wasn't feeling the Super Bowl Performances either which i haven't thought much of in years. everything was well pace.

Super Bowl Sunday

well today is the day. the big game and the Big commericals that will keep you glued for some hours. New England Patriots look to go 19 and 0 and the New York Giants look to Win and make a statement. the game itself should be interesting considering that the two teams played the last game of the season which was arguably the best game of the whole season. the Patriots came from behind to win it 38 to 35 and finish the regular season at 16 and 0. now besides food, friends,family,etc.... what else makes Super Bowl Sunday so memorable? it seems and feels like a Holiday and the atmosphere is already set. I went out to the garbage recycle can and the beer bottles are already starting overflow. hopefully the game will be interesting. it will be interesting to see if Tom Brady can continue to make history as well as his coach Bill Belichek. so many things have been floating around this week regardling the game and the Patriots and also the Giants. get your food and drinks and crew together because it is ShowTime!!!

Super Bowl Food

what to get for the big game and how to prepare and just chill?? thinking of the right snacks and drinks for this occasion which is a holiday without exactly being a Holiday. plenty of chips and dip and the full beverages of Pop and water and then something warm for the tummy like finger sandwiches or chicken on a tooth pick. if company does come through then gotta have a side order of something already in the fridge. the days of Super Bowl sunday are a event all unto themselves and through the years i have had many incredible meals on this particular time of the year. from breakfast to dinner and i can honestly say that out of all the major sporting events super bowl sunday brings the best out of cooks and hosts. now back in the day when Boxing counted i use to have some incredible get togethers but mike tyson's early round knockouts of opponents wrecked so many meals because the fights would be over before a good handful of planters peanuts had been passed out. looking forward to this weekend and the game and everybody be safe and it will be interesting at the dishes cooked up.

Black History Month

this time of the year always touches my soul and i go back in time when every febuary first was the start of Black History Month. it meant me watching movies, learning more from the historical perspective, Music and in depth conversations with friends and family about the Black experience in America and going through time. what i didn't learn in school about myself and culture i learned through Rap Music and also going back. Black History Month should be a every day event and should be taught more fully than a month or only a few figures to represent the whole culture. still i remember myself and friends always preparing for Black History Month and making sure everyday of it counted to the fullest. watching and reading has helped me learn so much and I'm still learn and that is a Powerful tool. from Africa to America and everywhere in between there is so much to learn and digest and savior it all. Music has open so many doors as did Sports and leaders. the whole community felt that union.
