back in the day I had a Evel Knievel bike with the red, white and blue strings. laughing out lot and it was the truth. that Man was a Icon period. not only for him rolling on his Motorcycle but the great feats and risks that he took. He was the coolest and coldest cat doing what he was doing. He was X games and a reality show all rolled into one before it had a name. back in the day before cable became the norm ABC long before ESPN when ABC was known as World Wide of Sports and doing there own thing with hardly any corperate tie ins they always had a Event that would showcase the depths and risks that Evel Kneivel would dare do next. He was attempted jumping the Grand canyon, and other events. He made a whole bunch of money through marketing his image on lunch boxes, my Bike and other toys. He was a marketing machine. call it Irony when Kayne West the rapper did a Homage video to Knievel a year and change ago. now Knievel wasn't happy about the video,etc.... but the past few days they settled a lawsuit and also patched things up. Evel Knievel was as Big as any other Icon of the 70's. He was fearless and marched to the beat of his own drum. He was a Athlete and I don't know if NFL QUarterback SuperStar Brett Favre will admit it or not but he reminds me so much of Evil Knievel with the way he approaches the game of Football. Knievel had a Almost Elvis Presley outfit and persona to boot. Knievel was like a cross between Jerry Lee Lewis, and ELvis Presley but with hiw own vibe. back in the day tv iconic show Happy days even had a episode where the Fonz did a EvilEsque stunt which had a part 1 and 2. Knievel lost bones and even went into a Coma for what he enjoyed doing the most. His Sony Robbie followed in his father's foot steps and has been successful. today marks the end of a era and this man was a big time icon. he did things his way.

the wind of cool
a breeze enters upon me and makes me stop in my tracks
no longer is there shade or sun that covers me and throws rays
this particular feeling that dances across my being sends chills
as i turn to day dream of a warming moment that brought delight
but the reality is a icy vibe that turns my neck into the moon
of the Night and I stare into the stars as I breath this cold air
and those that enjoy these times say directly all is fair
warmth is a special feeling that right about now
that will leave that wind of Cool at Bay
until another day

when did my credit get good again?
got home today and there was two credit card offers to me saying your credit is worthy again. funny how a few years back I couldn't even get a finger hut or a Pizza Hut Coupon Credit Card and now this. but I ran to the trash can. I didn't walk I ran and tore the offer off. I don't want to get caught up in the Credit card monopoly. it's no fun when bill collectors call you up and tell you that your bill is way past due. i'm looking all crazy at my mail box going since when did my credit get good again? i thought my credit rating would be like my bowling game after having a bit too much and not getting much sleep. trying to wonder when and where did it become worthy of getting a offer? even when i play Monopoly I don't get the good credit or Property so this was a newsflash for me today. if your credit has been hit or not up to par then you can relate to what I'm saying.

Helio Castroneus wins dancing with stars
the race car Driver Helio Castroneus upset Melanie Brown aka spice girl Mel B. He won because of his charisma and persona which won people over. this reminded me of American Idol when Jordin Sparks won the people over. it's a lesson that says that it ain't always about the most talented or the most gifted. it comes down to talent but also the person who connects with the crowd and judges,etc... now I was pulling for Marie Osmond and she looked great as did Melanie Brown. Brown was the most naturally gifted dancer remaining in the finals, but Helio had that something extra that the people were feeling. i enjoyed watching the dancing. I don't feel the bad Karoke singing in the background, but the musicians are cool. it's interesting how these shows play out because you never know who will have what it takes to win over People. i think all of the reality shows pay attention and then make sure to flip the script near the end. it goes back to charm, hard work and pressence winning you over and 9 times out of 10 it works that way.

Thriller is 25 years old this week
first and foremost Michael Jackson is a Musical Genius and a Mount Rushmore Artist and Icon to me and always will be. always down with MJ. this Album forever chanced my life because it came along at a important time period for me. I mean to this day hearing "Billie Jean" and Wanna Be Startin Somethin" still move me. together with Quincy Jones,Michael Jackson created a album that not only was made in a Particular time period, but influenced Generations there after and still does. "Thriller" might arguably be the Greatest Album ever Made. and the sales were mind boggling. all due respect to the Eagles who the RIAA says Sold more copies in the United States with there greatest hits collection from 1971-1975,but there album ain't touching no Thriller. Thriller wasn't just a Album, but a Lifestyle. Michael Jackson touched people all over the World and all ages, races and Backgrounds. the Music and Songs on the Album spoke on so many things. Michael Jackson forever changed the Music expereince for so many people back in the day. Thriller was like the Holla Hop, Viewmaster, and the I-Pod or Computers of it's time. every once in a while a event comes along that just captures the imagination of the Whole World and "Thriller" was that album. all the videos, Motown 25 and the Commericals and more importantly the Vocal Genius and Creative fire that is Michael Jackson made the Whole World feel it. His Impact on Pop Culture is timeless. so many acts are forever in his debt. to Me all Musical Acts that come after him and do Popular Music are eating off his plate. He is that Powerful and left that kind of Impact with a Album that appealed and touched on so many levels. oh the Many Penny Loafers I have had over the years and the many copies and times I played that Album over and over. the Versatility and depth of this Album still gets me Hyped after all of these Years. the Album was Incredible., it wasn't about the Dark Shades, Glitter Glove, High Water Pants, the various jackets,Moonwalking or anything else but the Music. that is what a Classic Album does for you. Human Nature, the Lady in my life, Beat it, Billie Jean, Baby Be Mine,,Thriller, PYT Pretty young thing, Wanna Be Startin something, 7 out of those 9 songs were top ten hits. MichaelMania was unlike anything I have seen before or since. so many Memorys shared and had upon reflecting on this Classic Album. in truth I do miss the days when Michael Jackson ruled the airwaves. this album stayed on my player and to this day I keep it nearby and always will. what a fantastic Creative time and Great Music and Sentiments for the Soul and to dance and reflect to. Props always to the King Of Pop. still remembering going to the Music store to get my copys.

Sean taylor Nfl Football player shot at his home
in what appears to be a robbery in Miami Washington Redskins Safety Sean Taylor was Shot at the door enterance yesterday. his girlfriend called the police. Taylor is in very serious condition and the redskins Owner Daniel Synider and quite a few of his teammates are present in Miami to show support. Taylor has a young child and he has had issues in the past, but he was making changes and getting on with his life. he was having a very Productive season this year and he made the Pro Bowl last year. this is truly sad and just wrong. you don't expect to hear of a Professional athlete or any Entertainer being shot and possibly killed at such a young age.
just like last week reading how baseball pitcher Joe Kennedy died at only age 28. anytime you read or hear something like that it just has to grib you and make you understand just how short and fragile Life is. Prayers are with both atheletes family, friends and fans world-wide.
Sean Taylor had his home Broken into recently and now this senseless cowardly act. it's just wrong and troublesome. not the kind of news you want or are prepared to hear. nobody knows how this is gonna turn out for Taylor. prayers with him and his family.

what do you take to work?
going to work is a trip onto itself so what do you take? do you have a backpack or just have a jacket where you bring items in it? Books, music and anything else are all part of your journey to the job. going to work for some people is like going to the airport or a bus ride. the many things that make us tick just to get going is interesting. i mean the thought of taken extra stuff beyond school days seemed like a afterthought but it's common to have alot of things in our daily routines just to make it through the days. how often do you see people going to work without there cell phones? Music or a Book?? I mean yes you are bringing Lunch but everything else says we have a rhythm that is part of who we are and it gets us off and running into motion. funny when you go to get a job it's all about wearing clothes and keeping things simple, but once in,things change now don't they? the many things we have to have but do we truly all need? when going to Work becomes Work in itself.

how late do you eat into the night?
always thinking when will i stop eating during the night time? now due to the holiday season eating longer into the evening is common place and the extra goodies are always tempting at any time. but usually i stop eating before 9 at night to rest myself and just chill. but when there is a nice treat to get then i light up like a christmas tree and want to get on something good. suddenly the clock is off limits and forgotten. the weather gets cooler and the fridge gets more stuffed and the eye balls become wider. look at what i found over here? I mean that is what happens when I'm just wanting a extra snack before i call it a night. back in the day at eating at all times of the night was fun,but the Heavyness of the meals can be a Problem come sleep time. i do drink something but something easy and relaxing.

Black Friday and the rush to get things
up and early and today was packed at various places as early as 4 in the morning through 12 today. the early rush to get items at unbelieveable prices. the power of the dollar and the willinginess to keep before the birds fly out of there nest. how much do you want to have something? i was asked would I get or buy something soon,etc...??? I was like ain't no way. unless somebody lifts my bed with me covered and pulls out my wallet and pays for it and I don't have to wait in the cold then I'm not moving to get anything. i can wait and believe it or not I waited until this evening and went to my local best buy and still got some things on sale. funny thing is that i paid for my stuff in cash while other people used credit or checks. the register closed and i was awaiting some change. funny thing i was just watching all the people running toward to get christmas items and whatnot. today was a huge day for the economy but I tell you having to see it first hand can just boggle the mind. so much technilogy and so many things to get did you get all you wanted or are you gonna wait until the day after chrsitmas? always something to get and never enough time or just too many people.

the dinner on thanksgiving good, bad or indifferent
no matter what anyone says everybody and there granny are a food critic and thanksgiving seems to bring that out of people even more so. if the food is hit and miss then you will notice some folks leaning over and making faces at the table. if the food is Great then you never have to ask do you want 2nd's and 3rd's because they will bum rush the kitchen and be on it. if the meal was just something to put in your tummy then you will get the polite that is nice and that is it. i can never hold back my emotions come meal time especially when it is a meal to feast on. i sit there tasting and noticing everything and even just how the napkins are placed on a table. I've been blessed to have had some of the greatest meals given to me on thanksgiving and you never forget them. tell you how much i appreciate and cherish a Great meal, whenever i eat a bad one i be day dreaming about the good ones because it is the only thing that keeps me from chewing out a bad meal from. and i do have a holiday's rating food system. thanksgiving is the only holiday where the meal truly counts and you remember it all for some strange reason. hoep the cranberry's taste good and don't taste like somebody is mixing them up with something else. hope the bird is cooked, glazed and ready to be sliced and not be a brick. and the Pie has to be on time as well. now I ain't even gonna talk about the guests and members around the table that is a whole different topic.

Happy thanksgiving
wanted to wish the whole world a warm and soulful happy thanskgiving and there is so much to be thankful every day of the year. Health, Loved ones, friends and just feeling and enjoying the world at large. i feel that we have to send a warm shout out to our troops and say prayers to familys of 9/11/01, Katrina, tsumini and everywhere else that has been effected over the years. it's important to spread the word of Love and also uplift one another. it's not just a day off or something to pass the time,it's about remembering loved ones and lives and being thankful in a spiritual way and given back. feeding and taken care of the less fourtunate. i feel that expressing the warmest and deepest felt sentiments are always important and it should never take a holiday for anyone to embrace the word Love and thanking of fellow human Beings.

Alabama College Head Coach is tripping
Nick Saban the Head coach of the Alabama Crinsomtides is straight up tripping. he said after Alabama lost another game, that losing games is like Pearl Harbor and 9/11/01 calling it all a tragedy. Saban sounds like a cat that is way out of touch with reality. it bugs me when Athletes or coaches lose a game and then compare it to a world event or a Solider battling. I feel that some folks are just out of there minds when they make such looney comments. now the students who play football for these schools have to remember the importance and impact of said events, now how is a head coach gonna say such comments? Pearl Harbor was very serious and 9/11/01 tragedy, serious and hard to ever fully digest. i just shake my head at how coaches or players who while in a serious battle on a football field must remember that it is a game and alot of times that point gets lost. every few years somebody makes a comment where you just think to yourself no they didn't. but more often than not yes they did.

holiday sales are already to go
thanksgiving ain't even fully kicked in and the ads for the day after thanksgiving and the weekend are in full effect. many deals on all kinds of items and whatnot. where to spend the money and how soon to get a jump start on the holidays. i always pass through the mall and just watch folks pack up a parking lot and just stare in amazement at how the places fill up left and right on items they may or may not even be using in a month. so many newspapers running ads for the past week and so on. what are the things that you want more than anything? alot of the times the commericialism of the Holidays and selling of it tends to over shadow the actual holiday itself. folks get up early in the morning on the day like they have there clocks set and everything. it's treated like a concert. nobody wants to be late for the day after.

Johnny Carson selected as the greatest tv Icon
Here'ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Johnny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tv land and entertainment weekly had a top 100 greatest tv icons and the Late Johnny Carson was selected as the Best and it is no surprise. Johnny Carson forever changed late night and prime time tv with his tonight show. He was creative and also had a aura about him that made you know that he was the King of Late night and he commanded a stage. Props also to Ed Mchmon and doc serverson and all the main folks that were a part of the tonight show. making it on the tonight show was the "It" thing back in the day. Jay Leno inherited the job after Johnny turned over the reins back in 1992. David Lettermen, conon o brian,Arsenio Hall, Oprah Winfrey, Phil Donuhue and others are all sitting at Johnny Carson's table eating off his plate. he brought known and unknown Comedians, Musicians, actors and actress and other people of all walks of life and he was a Dominant Force for many, many, many years. though I was a kid and very yound during his dominance I did watch his shows and always felt that Carson was a standard. He was the King of Late Night and his place was always the place to be. you knew you had made it if Johnny Carson wanted you on his show.

Michigan lost to Ohio State today and it hurts
this was one saturday where college football is concearned big time for me. as a Michigan Woolverines playing and Beating the Ohio state Buckeyes is the most important game of the whole season. today's loss truly hurt and it might spell the end of Coach Lloyd Carr of Michigan. Mike Hart the Senior Running Back was hoping for a national title and also being a Heisman trophy. this game is something that i always mark down on my calendar yearly. losing today was just so sad. we will get a chump Bowl game but since we have 4 losses now we are gonna get a scrub bowl basically. i look forward to next year and Hopefully the Woolverines will get it back and we can get back on top. this has been a tough year and nobody knows what the future will hold. hard to believe it's been 10 years since we shared a national title.

one of them weeks that just flew by
what can i say? this week just flew by so quickly that i barely remember 10 tens i did. now on most weeks i can call out 10 things i did in a day,but this week just went by quickly and I still can't believe the weekend is already here. i remember thinking and feeling how good the week felt in terms of that the weather got better as the week went along. now I know that the Holidays are coming and this next month is really gonna be off the hook in terms of days and nights flying by. one thing is very consistant with time and how it just goes by. the weather this week has been a bit of something of everything and anything. rainy, windy and sunny. full Moon, stars and something else in between. some people are already getting there thanskgiving groove on already this weekend. next week will be even quicker. now will I remember 10 things next week? stay tunned.

Witch hunt to get Barry Bonds
that is how I feel. the Feds going after Barry Bonds is Racist and wrong. 4 years later to finally get a Indictment? yeah whatever. Bonds is the Home Run King Period and is a Free Agent and this is a smear Campaign. even if Barry Bonds did do Steriods which have never been Proved or has he ever tested postitive for, the Powers that Be want Bonds to be the Post Child for this in Baseball and to me there is a Big time Conspiracy to bring down Barry Bonds and to me it is all Racial and Personal. Bonds never has been a favorite of writers and Media at large. he does his own thing and chills. nobody is tripping off of Jason Giambi, Rafael Palmerio,Mark Mcwire.
it's a true Witchhunt and they wanted after Bonds was let by the Giants and was on the market. they knew Bonds was gonna break the record and there mind set is to try to make a example out of him, meanwhile players in baseball and other sports are catching guys left and right and they were given a pass. this is personal and it is a bad joke.
if Bonds did something then that is on him,but the way things are going down this is personal and done in a way that is way too shady. I'll always be down with Barry Bonds as a Ball Player and he is the Greatest Player that i have ever seen. nothing has ever been Proved period. this is a set up. WithHunt all the way here.

curves=smart?
there is a latest survey that says that Women with curves tend to be smarter. well I agree and I might add I only pay the Ladys with the Curves the real attention. I ain't a fan of skinny chicks. I be like, you need to be some meat on them bones. you need some shake and bake in your stride if you wanna make a Brother look more than once. i feel that hollywood does a strong dis-service to full figured ladys by always trying to push the tooth pick chicks on tv and in ads. or covering them up. I say let it all be there for the eyes to see. to me it shows a woman with confidence and comfortable in her own skin. Society and Hollywood shallow standards doesn't promote that and want to Promote women to be Barbie dolls or drain botox all through themselves. but i always say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and some curves always gets a big smile out of me just like the Kool-Aid Man whenever I see Curves and Hips i already know the Woman is Smart and Proud and it's also extra good for my sight.

rest in peace to Kayne West's mother Donda West
Kayne's mother Donda passed away over the weekend on a surgery table. she was having cosmetic surgery on her tummy and also getting breast reduction. quite a few people have these surgery's and the results vairy. now the doctor who was performing the Surgery apparently has some past issues and things, but it's hard to say what happen if there is foul play or not. regardless this has been a tragedy and sad to hear. tummy tucks and other services performed this happens so often. hopefully we will get more information over time which will shed more light. Donda West was only 58 years old.she and her Son Kayne West were very close. i've heard of people dying on the table following tummy surgery and other problems that happen on the table. there is never a easy way to deal with a loss.

when you and your friend share the same things
this weekend was a great seneiro because I went to go see Denzel Washington in "American Gangster" and I found out later that my Home Boy went that night to check it out. now when you are your friend are real tight you tend to do alot of the same things. you might dig the same music, dig the same movies and have views on things the same in terms of Politics and society at large. where do we exactly come along and find folks that truly relate as we do? that is a Science all unto itself. but it speaks volumes when you have that Buddy where you can answer there sentence and they can asnwer yours. it is something how the most basic of things can create the same reaction out of you. even when you reflect on things that you did as a kid it's a trip how you can relate and draw on the same conclusions. my and my Home Boy felt the same exact way about American Gangster and it was like hearing my inner voice. that is something else and everybody has a friend that vibes with them like that.

Soulja Boy got folks doing the crank that dance
every year or sometimes a few months in a year there is that one dance song that just catches on and everybody and there Granny are stepping to it in there own way. right now Soulja Boy's "Crank that(Superman) is the hottest cut and it is rolling big time over at youtube.com. matter of fact Deandre Ramone way aka SOulja boy has a instructional dance video to doing the dance step. the dance is a whole lot of fun. it's real catchy and the steps ain't no joke. i was over on youtube and they had spongebob, the lion king, barney the dinosaur and other characters having there voices dubbed with SOulja boy's song. there are answer back cuts and folks all over the internet doing there steps to the song. that is memorable and that represents something for everybody. every era and time period has that one song and the attached dance that you just can't shake. back in the day of doing the Robot, Moonwalk, roger rabbit, running man, cabbage patch, snake, electric slide, and so many other steps. i be getting my step on to Soulja Boy's crank that.
veteren's day weekend
this weekend is to remember the veterens who served and protected us all as my grandfather who served in world war 11. heros that touched lives past, present and the future. the flag represents the freedom and also the importance. so much history and so much blood, and Guts that were put on the line for all Americans. our troops over in Iraq need to be given all the support and full understanding, no matter where we come down on this war. this is more than a Holiday weekend and it is important to share all of the history and many significance that has happen over the years.

Minnesota Viking player docked for going to funneral
Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Troy Williamson was docked a pay check for going to his Grandmother's funneral and he is strongly gonna take action with the League. this is so wrong by the minnesota vikings and of course the NFL. but then again the NFL hasn't done much of a job protecting there players. Williamson's Brother who has been in and out of a coma in Georgia, also has had Williamson visting and checking in on him as well. i feel that people need time to Grief and should also be compenstated without any interference. why is a Player or a Person being docked pay to pay respects to a loved one who passes away? that in itself doesn't sound human. i couldn't believe when i heard this, but then again knowing this is part of the NFL I can't say I was shocked. the rules need to be changed. where is the human element in this?

drinking water when it's cold outside
the mental and physical challenge to get up for drinking water when the weather is chilly or cold outside. that is the one thing i battle this time of the year onward. i of course can drink water non stop during the Summer like it's nobody's business, but unless I'm munching on some grub then it becomes a bit harder to just sit there and drink water. but Water is the most simpliest and relaxing thing I come across in my dailey journey. that purity and clearness of it just soothes and moves the soul. now it's not a problem when it comes to Kool-Aid because I have ice cubes and things there and ready to go,but just drinking the water and shivering sometimes it's a tough sell. now what happens if a water picture becomes icy because the fridge is extra cold? I'll be shaking like Scobby Doo upon seeing a Ghost. but i make it through. water always just helps me un-wind.

as the rain sings
as the clouds dance upon my memory
where do I get inspiration from?
where does the sky turn blue
and where does the yellow of the Sun
come toward me as the frost of the Winter
in all of it's white sparkle lead to the tender
drops of Rain?
voices and past sounds speak to me in
spaces and places as the tap of the drops
splashes into a circle of purity
and the delicate groove has a harmony
alll unto itself
where do I get inspiration from?
where does the sky turn blue
and where does the yellow of the Sun
come toward me as the frost of the Winter
in all of it's white sparkle lead to the tender

still eating on some halloween candy
yeah it's a whole week later and there is still all kinds of goodies that I didn't even get to until this past week. Halloween is the start of the holiday season and there are so many snickers bars, mr.goodbars, almond joys, M&M's and other goodies. this particular one the big Bag is full of Goodies. I have in years passed had halloween candy last up until around thanksgiving and I truly believe that for some strange reason that Halloween candy is better than most other candy thati come across. could it be that since it is free that is just tastes better? or it is the candy that i don't normally go out and buy but having it once a year truly leaves a lasting impression on me. now don't get me wrong there is some candy that i avoid all together. but this is a good year and Bag.
10 year old boy facing charges for a fire in California
i heard today that they are deciding what to do with a 10 year old boy who started up one of those fires in california last month. now back in the day i was told don't go around playing with matches or there would be flames from a swtich. the boy is getting taken out his home and his family is also facing heavy, heavy fines,etc... and rightfully so. they don't want to charge him as a Adult, but folks gotta know the seriousness of the actions that occured. everybody is awaiting to see what happens next in this particular case. playing with fire is dangerous and you'd think that the word would be out about it. i knew being a younger kid what not to touch or that meant a whipping and rightfully so. parents have to make sure there kids don't get into any mess that can cause harm to there ownselves and especially not to anyone else. the boy and his parents have caused alot of harm and there needs to be a service message that speaks on it and well beyond.
Prince is tripping as usual
well has it come to this? a Has-Been, Hit-less relic Musician trying everything to diss fan sites that kept his name out there when alot of folks turned away from him back through much of the 90's and parts of the 00's. Prince ain't mattered since the late 80's and folks mainly go to his concerts because of his past and it is mainly as a Nostelgia thing. Prince was happening and tight back in the day,but he was always a snob and had this attitude. back in the early 90's when he was crying about his deal with label warner brothers and then he had that silly symbol as a name, he lost alot of fans, but because of his talent and his impact some folks that just was Prince being Prince. but now this Looney Bugged out Turkey is truly tripping. after getting back some love 3 years back with his introduction into the rock and roll hall of fame, then the 20nth anniversary of his purple rain soundtrack and film and early this year doing the super bowl and he even did american idol and he turns around and pulls this stunt? if fans want to put up pictures and things so what? as long as they aren't pirating and jacking your music then what is the Problem? naw that Elf just wants a bunch of Yes people to be tied to his own personal site and charge them. i could care less because I ain't thought or cared about no Prince in many years. I crack up because he actually still has fans after the mess he still pulls. i ain't never heard of no other artists pulling this kind of mess especially a black artist.

looking for a walkman
go ahead and laugh and call me stuck in a timewarp but I gotta have my cassette player. I love my tapes. I got a whole bunch and I still make mix tapes. I'm not stopping, but the interesting thing is how I called around and some places don't even sell them anymore. BestBuy the woman that worked there I could tell she almost wanted to laugh when I asked about if any were in stock. I thought did I say do you have a 8 track machine? technilogy seems to always change and so much changes, but I believe you gotta roll with what you dig best. i have my ninety nine batterys, but still digging for a solid walkman. was it too much to ask for a walkman that has rewind and fastforward and also a Bass boast?? remember how that was a special feature. always looking for the best one i can find, but the quality isn't all that much anymore. i still got one from 1997 but the 2007 models look generic and Broke. just got some tight banging headphones and al ready to groove. the Walkman I got is something used more for a President Q&A session. not exactly Grooving down the street material. but i will be in search mode starting tommorow.
what makes a place top 10 worthy?
every now and lets say every other week Yahoo or some other place has a top 10 places to live or places to avoid. now i ask the question what exactly makes a place the best or the worst exactly again? funny thing is that i have never lived in a place in the united states that is considered top 10. always seeing a list makes me notice and then I go on. i can never figure out where they get people from around the nation to say look over here this is the best place to live. funny thing I can tell you places to avoid but it ain't the whole city or place but just a area where you shouldn't go. i often wonder the cost of living in a particular area is the reason? is it because of the Neighbors or the welcoming vibe and sentiments?? what exactly is the reason behind a selection? I bet cash money that there are people who live in those places selected and they might cringe at there city being picked or you got those folks who don't want the cat out of the bag about where they live and hope it stays just the way it is.

hollywood writers going on strike
the word is out of hollywood is that they are gonna go on strike because they want a cut in the dvd and on line business and I feel that it is a must. Hollywood is a trip they don't even fully take care of there own. the writers make and break so much of what you see and the finished product. now personally being stuck with a bunch of re-runs gets tired real fast. so what will go down and what will be the end results? the Entertainment Industry never stops making madd coin, but the politics of the business dictates so much. now personally there is so much money to go around and with all the technilogy and many more ways to draw in a check then you'd think that common sense says expand the loot and acknowledge the obvious other cash cow ways of making in money. how will the major networks look if things come to a stop? that is not a sight we want to see. all forms of entertainment will suffer if this comes to pass.

time for that sunday dinner
smelling and feeling that chicken in the oven that is looking good next to some home-made Bar B Que sauce. there is a rhythm to the sauce and flavors and spices that just make stand there in awe.
next you go the sweet potatoes with the fresh orange flavor on them, butter and sugar. a nice sweet sprinkle of honey which gives them that extra brightness.
then you got rice some sundays or string beans or corn. gotta have that colorful plate that is a beautiful sight to behold.
bread with butter or maybe buttered rolls. either way the seperate plate is a welcoming sight.
gotta have either some ginger ale or water for dinner to drink. a comfortable beverage.
and then later thinking about dessert which will be good for the eye sight as well.
sunday dinner just is the perfect way to jump start a week off. there is a standard with a special Sunday meal and yes I have talked about it before, but the thought of the many meal combinations for tonight just brings a huge smile across my face.

New England and Indianapolis lived up to the hype
many folks called it Super Bowl 41.5 and the game was the truth. the Patriots went to Indianapolis and won the game 24-20. the games best two Quarterbacks Tom Brady and Payton Manning did there thing. the two Best Head coaches in the League Bill Belichick and Tony Dungy. so many great players on both teams. this is the first game in many years were the hype and anticipation was at a high fever pitch and it lived up to the full drama. both these teams far and away are the best two teams in the NFL and it ain't even close. both these teams matched the intensity. now back in January the Colts had to come from behind to win the AFC championship game and eventually win the Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears. this time the Patriots overcame being down by 10 in the 4th quarter. now the Colts were without there main wide reciever Marvin Harrison but the Colts still had chances to win and couldn't get it done. on the other side Wide Reciever Patriot Wide out Randy Moss put on a show and he shows why he was steal of the free agency. He put on a show as usual. i get a feeling they will see each other again in New England for the AFC Cahmpionship game. the past two games have been classic and I expect part 3 to be even more incredible if that is possible. seeing the best two teams getting at it is what it's all about.

as I sleep
all the world is shinning like a Diamond
as I sleep i hope that peace is felt through
the land,mind and soul
what will be the first thought that occurs to me?
where shall i turn for a dream that feels
so real and warm and leaves me creating
as I rest and i find comfort
there is a moment of just pure
relaxation that rests my mind
and challenges me to think in
advance to what lies around the
corner for another day
but in this moment I turn the world
off as it watches me motionless
and in pure bliss
as I sleep i hope that peace is felt through
the land,mind and soul
what will be the first thought that occurs to me?
where shall i turn for a dream that feels

Daylight savings time again
push that clock back a hour and now it gets even darker quicker than ever and what does it mean again? time was daylight savings time actually meant something to me in the sense I felt the hour within my sleeping routne. back during my school days it meant something, but as time goes by I hardly even think about the time difference. i think by not doing much on Sunday's it doesn't affect me as it once did. a extra hour of Sleep is cool as long as I sleep in. losing that hour is cool if it means i can enjoy the sunshine. so many things happen in a 24 hour time period but only daylight savings time truly makes me reflect and think on it.
so tonight i will stay up late and watch the clock moonwalk back and then I will get to cheat on that hour. when that hour went up back in the spring i watched the clock leap frog from 1 Am to 3 Am and I my mouth still ain't shut from that expereince. thank goodness the Dvd/vcr.Microwave and other clock gadgets in the house do it themselves instead of me having to get up and switch the clock myself. remember those days??

beautiful face in the place
a Lovely lady captures my eyes from head to toe
as I stand and view the lovely figure in front of me
i day-dream like a Puppy who just is tickle
and can't stop feeling happy and I don't want
to wake up from this incredible moment and feeling
the words and sentiments pour from me
and i stand in a direct manner and i feel
a sensation of warmth and enjoyment
i can do no wrong or say no wrong
i feel a sparkle all through my soul
that kind of vibe never gets old
from the first intense crush
those never ending feelings
maintain a huge Rush
over me and the purity of a
Special lady
is great and solid for the dancing
pounding Groove of the Heart

the return of Britney Spears
well this past tuesday marked the music return of Pop Icon Britney Spears. she has a new album out called "BlackOut" which seems to reflect alot of the actions she has done publicly. her song gimmie more is moving up the charts and she has thrown alot of curve balls to the public at large. still Spears is in that Modern day era of Pop Music Icons that whatever they do there is always a camera and media to print a story. Spears to me is the Madonna of her Generation. she carrys that kind of weight. She has accomplished a whole lot thus far in her career. she isn't much of a Singer per se, but she has the right material that works well for her voice and she has Charisma and Sex Appeal to Boot. now she has been around a decade hard to believe that already. so much has happen with her for the whole world to see. we have all had two eye fulls of Britney spears on more than one occasion, but she has that "It" that SuperStars and Icons are made of. you can't ever put your finger on it,but she has that "It". she is successful with her music, endorsements and other endeavors. it seems good, bad or indifferent everybody has a take on what Britney Spears does. who knows how things will play themselves out,but she keeps people talking and that is the mark of someone who has truly made it big time.

Overstock ceo and Bounty Hunter get real racist
the overstock.com ceo Patrick Byrnes made some strong headlines recently with his comments that in his home state of Utah that if Minoritys don't finish High School they might as well be burned or thrown away. interesting thing is that 11 percent of population there is Hispanic and only 1 percent is black. a Whopping 83.5 percent are White. dude has some major insecuritys and issues, but it never stops no matter what the Profession. the NAacp Asked him to say he was sorry and he refused to. at least he is honest with his true feelings. more often than not folks sugar-coat there true feelings on race related topics and sentiments.
next up Duane "Dog" Chapman the Bounty Hunter who was heard on the phone talking to his son who is dating a Black Young Lady and Doug repeatedly used the N word and then he tried to downplay it and then said he was sorry. Bounty Hunter comes on weekly on the A&E channel.
ask me if I'm surprised or shocked?? I will tell you never. Black folks been America over 400 plus years and still ain't never got a Apology or sense of being included in the creation and Power that is America. far as I'm concearned Chapman, overstock ceo and others are no different than Don Imus, Michael Richards or the Exxon folks or Denny's Ceo's and others that allow this kind of racism and whatnot to be accepted in the Work place and beyond.
this is why I crack up when folks try to tell me with a straight face that Barrack Obhama has a chance at winning the presidency and getting into the White house. I try to tell some folks you need to learn your history and understand how things truly happen and go down in America because it ain't gonna happen.
all these Noose incidents going down just are the extra topping to being a reminder of though it's 2007 the mindset ain't much better than 1907 in alot of ways. scary times and reality always finds a way to rear it's ugly head.
