that early cold

well the weather isn't what I'd thought at this point. don't get me wrong i know that ugly word called fall is upon us, but I'd think a mini feel of Summer would still dance around for a while longer and Boy, would i be wrong. and guess what comes next? that good ole fresh cold. gotta find the tissue, syrup and alot of sleepless minutes trying to adjust. wasn't ready for it and when are you exactly ready for it? but hopefully it won't be that much longer. weather outside was a mess. Rainy and Windy. so forget about even going outside to the dumpster. probably want to throw some music on, watching football and gonna catch 60 minutes and just hit the remote and then Probably will crash. finding anything to do what I like to call doctoring on myself. hot rags and alot of water and sleep along with eating. but hopefully with Otober upon us I'll get my Groove back fully.

finding old mix tapes from days gone by

there is something about finding old mix tapes from the past where i spent countless minutes, seconds and hours trying to make that classic mix tape where i put songs on for a particular moment and time just to reflect and think about. i found quite a bunch i made back in 93,94,95,96,97 ha ha ha and don't laugh I ain't the only one. cassettes where the timing was either 45 minutes,60 minutes, 75 minutes,90 minutes,100 minutes,110 minutes and 120 minutes. oh the Mix tape. could be used for partys. playing cards. used for background doing cleaning. or used for some Love Making or you might call Baby Making Music tapes. tapes bring all kinds of ideas and feelings upon what you see and get. but the simplicity of just making a mix tape of a favorite artist or re-mixes of songs or just a album that you want a certain sound and vibe. even though CD's have that same sentiment for alot of folks or MP3's, it just doesn't strike the same sentiment and warmth of that Mix tape where i can reflect back on my work. i even dig the tapes where near the end of a side it clicked off before the song faded out. that is Old School Right Thurr. so funny seeing names i gave some of those tapes and the way I'd write things out. that still brings a smile and getting the ten tape pack for six dollars is still fun.

USA Soccor Goalie puts teammate under the bus

this Goalie that got benched in favor of a veteren Goalie who was selected by the USA Coach because the Coach felt the USA Women's team had a better chance against the Women's Brazil team with the Veteren Goalie. well the recent Goalie Hope Solo ran off at the mouth. she dissed the Coach and the Goalie that replaced her. I questioned Solo and I felt it was racial at the way she blasted her teammate. yeah I called it racial because you let a Black AMerican Athelete speak out against a teammate and you are gonna hear about it 24/7 365 days morning, noon, night and midnight can we all say slowly Kobe Bryant??? so to hear Hope Solo speak out and be so rude toward her teammate and then speak out on her coach publicly wasn't a good look. now don't get me wrong Solo more than likely should have started, but since she didn't get that chance you always root your team on. you don't make a Donkey's Behind out of yourself. alot of Modern day Athletes have this attitude that they are owed something and nothing is ever meant to all go your way. be it right or wrong there is no "I" in Team. if one person wins then everybody wins. Solo had the nerve to say on her Myspace page that her words were taken out of context or something, but she knew what she said and she sounded loaded and wrong to me.

the anorexia model in Italy on the Ad

that was a scary picture of that Model on that billboard in the Italy ad. I can't stand the way Hollywood pimps and makes alot of these younger women walk around like bean poles. it truly is sad and scary. I find Women far more sexier with Junk in the trunk and a fullness to them. don't be afriad of a home cooked meal. Hollywood is all about pushing the rail thin tooth pick look as the way of beauty. that ain't healthy. now there should be more of a balance for Beauty but sadly there isn't. this picture of this chick takes me back to the Kate Moss the Model looked back in the day. I was saying out loud who finds that attractive? i mean beauty comes in all shapes and sizes but don't starve yourself just to get on some generic sorry piece of a magazine. that picture speaks volumes and sadly it will effect alot of lives. not all for the better. bones sticking out and not eating is not sexy at all.

Hip-Hop Vs America

well B.E.T over the past couple of nights had a forum discussion about Hip-Hop and how it plays in America, Racially, Sexually and everywhere else in between. for me Hip-Hop has been a Great creative outlet and also presented alot of successful storys and also been important for jobs and economic growth, on the other hand it's gotten more Corperate and more White-Bread over time. sold as product and Product placement as to where a Rapper just allows themselves to state whatever they deem worthy and prepare to attack that subject matter. Hip-Hop is over 30 years old but the degree of the changes in the game over time are quite vast and still it is scary to alot of White America and parts of Black America. the Irony is that more White Males buy Hip-Hop Product on a whole. on these shows alot of discussions and thoughts on the Video Portrayals, alot of Bling being shown, and how the game doesn't show all sides Hip-Hop. you have many types of creative artists in the game, but the Big Suits only want to Pimp and allow a certain image. there isn't a balance being displayed and the fantasy that is created can never be fully fullfilled no matter how much Money or Viagra tablets are on a table. no other form of music or culture of People are lumped and tied into the same bag when people want to blame the social ills of what is happening. still it makes a Great topic and debate and good to see people talking. interesting thing about this particular show on B.E.T is that BET is co owned by Viacom which is Owned by MTV and they control everything you see, hear and view or so it seems. interesting deck of cards being played.

Bill O'Reilly discovers Black people at resteraunts

Bill O'Reilly went to Sylvia's Soul food restaraunt in New York with Rev.Al Sharpton. you say big deal and you are right until you understand that the racist Bill O'Reilly made the remark that he didn't know Black folks could behave in a restaraunt setting. dude always burries his foot deep in his behind. he said this was like being in a Italian Restaraunt,etc... O'Reilly always likes to say he has black music at his crib or he has black friends and yet statements like this out of his mouth show just how Ignorant he truly is and backwards. why He still gets a forum is beyond me? He is in the same three stoogies and Klan suit and Hood as Don Imus and Rush Limbaugh but it's called the voice of the right. scary thought. the O'Reilly Spin Machine is in full effect and still making statements like this.O'reilly is so busy chasing after Snoop Dogg, Ludacris,Nas and other Rappers to paint a Brush and Generalize all Black people as he always seems to do.

new tv season offically starts now

now the new tv season is offically under a way and I'm looking at what is being offered. shows in comedy, drama, avoiding most of the reality tv shows. alot of familiar faces are back in new shows trying to bring back there careers. so many shows, so little time and even with Tivo is it worth the watch? so i got all of these channels and just flipping through to see catches my eyes and will stick. tv is just like music, if something is catchy and it works you will peep it out even more, but if it's wack then you just flip and Moonwalk from it. problem is the networks are pushing hard to sell you on there shows and you either gonna feel it or will lose it. and I still don't have a Neilson's rating box or anything like that to track my tv viewing so oh well. i wonder how many of these shows will even be around when Winter comes around? tv is like the seasons, some shows are Hot, some are middle of the road and quite a few will be frosty and Let away before they start but right now everybody is on equal footing.

Floyd Landis lost his tour de force title

so it has been reported that a jury said that Floyd Landis was juiced up when he won the Tour de France. Landis says that he didn't juice up. the tour de france doesn't exactly come across Pro American since Lance Armstrong has been targed over there himself since 1999. but Lance Armstrong Won a Bunch of titles straight and they ain't never proofed nothing on him,but they made sure to get Landis. Landis has a Book out and he is fighting to keep his title and fight the two year suspension. so what will come of this in the future for other American Cyclist who want to participate over in France? can a American Bicyclist get a fair shot at winning in france without being accused of jucing up? only time will tell and something tells me we haven't heard the end of this.

last day of summer

well today marked the last offical day of summer and in it's honor I went on a cleaning up binge. i don't know what inspired me but i had to clean up so many things and I didn't want to stop until i was done. today was very warm and I was delighted by that sentiment, though I hope tommorow is equally as warm. but anyway it was good to throw away things that no longer are part of what i care about. funny how you can save magazines and other things. just looking back at things and wondering why did i hang on to this or that for so long. some things i will keep and the other 90% will find the trash bin. the weather was nice and I had to enjoy the bright sunshine. the Summer flew by and it didn't really feel like summer, but there were some nice days that made me load up on the Kool Aid. there is joy in throwing stuff away believe it or not.

Fall Weekend is upon us

well i ain't the biggest fan of Fall because it means that brisk cool air and wearing some long sleeves. leaves start to fall and leaves start to change. the scent in the air spells a change. so today it rained and this past week though it said the last week of summer, judging by the fog and rain it wasn anything but summer. looking outside the vibe spelled a early evening of night. tonight it is the 21rst of September and it made me put my Earth, wind and Fire Jam on, September and this particular night is mentioned in the song. i don't know what is gonna come through the sky in the next few days, but thus far the mini brisk in the air is a friendly reminder that Summer is long gone. depends on where you live and how the weather jumps off for you and your area. checking out my long jackets and getting gloves ready soon and just already thinking about staying warm. don't need the fan no more.

props on the Jena 6 March

glad to see supporters out in force for the Black Teenage Boys who have gotten unfair charges and a one sided vibe of justice. the March today in Jena,Lousiana is needed to speak on injustices and also to ask questions. interesting thing today, alot of Jena was closed I wonder why? that word Closed speaks to the Injustices that went on when the Black Teenage Boys were subjected too Nooses in a Tree and that particular tree the boys asked to sit at has since been cut down. alot of the Supporters today came together from youttube, myspace and were all together to fight for the cause. the power of technilogy brought so many Great souls together in a fight against Injustice. many thousands of people turned out and marched through Jena making a strong statement.

dude buys Barry Bonds Home run 756 and is a dummy

so i heard that Fashion Designer Marc Ecko forked over 750,000 dollars for the Ball that Barry Bonds hit to Break the Home Run Record and now this clown Ecko is saying should he send it to Cooperstown to the Baseball Hall of fame or have it blown up into outer space. Barry Bonds called Ecko a Idiot and I co Sign with Barry Bonds. this turkey done spent almost a million dollars and he is trying to post on his website that he is gonna let the country decide the Ball's fate. some shameless turkey who I ain't never ever seen any of his fashions anywhere. to make a grandstand of this Ball is just plain off the wall and a waste of time. I'm a Huge Barry Bonds Fan and always will be and to hear a turkey who got the special ball and to be pulling this kind of stunt is just one of those moments where i just shake my head in disbelief. this is a Bad joke.

Donovan Mcnabb and the Black Quarterback

tonight on HBO's Real Sports the show which Bryant Gumbel hosts there is a interview with Philidelphia Eagles Quarterback Donovan Mcnabb and in the Interview Mcnabb talks about the double standards of the Black Quarterback in the NFL. and for me I was like right on!! the Nfl doesn't want Black Quarterbacks or any real form of leadership to me. 80% of the players are Black but how many starting QB's are there? yeah the super bowl with TOny Dungy and lovie Smith being the first two BlackHead Coachs in the Super Bowl was Good and bad to me. Good to see two Black Men leading a team, but bad because why did it take so long for this to happen again?

Mcnabb has lead the eagles to a Super Bowl Appearence and 4 straight NFC Championship games. i mean he has accomplished so much and yet he seems to be slept on. it's only been in the past 25 and change that a Black QB even got a real chance to start in the NFL. Doug Williams never gets his fulll due for being the first African American Quarterback to Win a Super Bowl. Warren Moon dealt NFL Racism and the term NFL which i call Negroes forget Leadership is how I see alot of the NFL. Progress is slightly better but they got a long ways to go. with anything when you are Black in America you gotta be twice as good. and the prestige spot of Quarterback is no exception. I applaud Donovan Mcnabb for being real about the obvious situation because though some things have changed, there is still the good ole boy network that still moves at a snail's pace for progress. Mcnabb is a Class act and he doesn't speak out much so this speaks volumes about what he see and feels. He is a Winner and he is speaking the truth about the double standards of Football and life in general.

how many Footballl fans and kids in particular know about Broadway Joe Gilliam? James Harris? Vince Evans? the NFL Owners and GM's need to reflect society fully on the field and in places of Leadership. for the people who say well DOnovan Mcnabb needs to Win something to enhance his career well i say look at some of the QB's that Espn have hired as so called Sports NFL Experts and you can't tell me that they can hang with Mcnabb. folks are scared to talk and deal with Race in anything.

TMZ.com: real news with tabloid twists

they seem to be all over the dial and the news. they report on all the storys and the hungier for tabloid storys and the latest gossip of the happenings of the moment and time. the tv show is now on the air and there is the dot.com factor. now the National Enquier, Star Magazine, Globe, and other Tabloid magazines have been around but Tmz has a legal spin but with spins and takes. this show and website also has tape and video of what is going down in hollywood which is a spin to what the previous tabloid magazines of yesteryear did and do. people seem to have a thing for celebrity at any cost and any way.we are all at one time or another wanted to see and get tidbits and Info. it's just Human Nature to want to know and seek things out but now it all is coming direct.

can't say what you want on Award shows

alot of edited out words at this past Emmy award show on sunday. Sally Field got edited out for using the Lord's name in vein, but was it because she spoke out against the War? typical conservative Fox News which wants certain things cleared out. to speak out against the President and his jive of pushing this way too long War is a Mess and Sally field nailed alot of people's sentiments about this Mess in Iraq. now don't get me wrong some people get on these award shows and are long winded beyond Wind and lung capacity, but Sally Field said something that needed to be heard and stated and I applaud her for that. the Political Correct folks want to push all this down people's throats and you gotta watch how you say this or that. people say all kinds of things but what exactly is deemed unacceptable is all subjective but we ain't home should be able to select our own button on it,but we have somebody else censoring out things before we get a moment to decide for outselves.

OJ SIMPSON what Next?

ok everybody and there granny got a opinion on this latest chapter in the life of OJ Simpson. now first of all I'm a long time Buffalo Bills fan and always championed OJ as a Player. and in the case which ended in 95 I had no problem with the verdict. I don't know what happen and therefore too much is in conclusive. now this latest Robbery attempt that is alleged is to me pay back vigilante style on alot of levels. but I ain't getting into it because I already know that alot of White America won't be happy until OJ Simpson is doing time. OJ Simpson is like Nat Turner nowadays to the very audience of people who loved the false acting and generic cross-over acting he would do in film,tv and on the sidelines. the Media curcus is already started up and no matter what everything is tied back to his Murder trial. He will never get a fair trial. He can't even get out on bail despite being corperative and staying in Las Vegas. if People had OJ's stuff then it is his right to get his stuff. He had a judgement against him in the judgement case, but OJ hasn't payed any of the 33 million judgement against him. this case feels like OJ is being frammed in alot of ways. now i don't trip on OJ one way or the other, but there seems to be foul play going on with the Las Vegas Police Department if you ask me. it's bad enough this same PD didn't find tupac shakur's killer on the vegas strip and now this episode of Vegas against OJ is very suspect and as a Black Man I don't want no parts of Las Vegas at all. that might sound grand but then again is it really? but I don't want to really deal with this case.

The Emmy awards

so tonight is a big night out in hollywood that asks the question who will win for tv shows, and other factors that represent acting and story lines,etc.... the first sure sign that fall is upon us is that this particular show is coming on. but the fashion is what most people seem to remember and only talk about. every year there is a sentimental award given to somebody either for winning after years or a newbie who cracked through. but Hollywood awards are fixed and you can pretty much guess who is gonna win based on popularity. i can honestly say that I don't remember a Emmy Award show. i have to be told again of who won. all of these award shows are blurs but tv related award shows should have a bit more meaning considering how some tv shows play a huge part on people's lives. i will view a bit of it but don't ask me who is gonna win or if i even care. there was a time though. i don't want to hear fake tired PR statements or lame jokes.

Jena 6 the modern day Lynching in Louisiana

this case is the truly a sad reminder of the racism that is allowed and welcomed in America. 6 Black Boys are all tired on aggravated Assualt against a white Male and more but the thing was they were defending themselves against racial attacks and other factors. imagine a all white Juror, White Prosecutor, all White Witnessess, white judge and you can guess how this is gonna play itself out. one of the black students who got charged Mychal Bell who is 17 is facing 22 years. this whole ordeal went down in Lasalle Parish,Louisiana which has a Population of less than 3,000 people, and only 350 black folks. Bell and other Black students at the High school where they went asked to sit under a tree known as the White Tree. they got permission but the next daythree students hung Nooses on that Tree and that was a reminder of the KKK being present. also some of the White students beat up on some of the 5 black guys charged, but they were never charged or held accountable by either the Principal of the school or the powers that be in the city. hearing a story like this is truly sad. i mean this very state just a couple of years ago went through a devasting Storm with Hurricane Katrina and now this. this is ugly and makes no sense at all. some of the black students involved in this case are still under lock down because of not having bail money or being able to afford a good lawyer. there is a double standard of justice and a double standard of the Human element in America and this is a friendly reminder in 2007 as if I ever need a reminder as a Black Man in America.

New England Patriots Coach Bill Belicheck Spy gate?

well the NFL FootBall New England Patriots got busted for having a flunkie cat taping the defensive calls of other teams. and I say so What? who doesn't take from others on the field? every sunday I see Quaterbacks with plays written on a arm band and the QB reads off of it. or you get a QB like Peyton Manning who changes plays at the line of scrimage. this week Patriots Head Coach and Championing of three titles Bill Belicheck is caught with having a extra eyes on the field. it doesn't Prove anything because you still gotta play the game and the game is played on the field. with all the Parity in the League and almost every team at one time or another running the west coast offense or having the same coaches or player personal together how can you just say that everything is on the up and up? for years the NFL has had as much funny business going on as any other Pro League and always will to some extent, but at the end of the day you decide the fate on the field and not through what appears on a picture. the Partiots as a team got fined 250,000 dollars and coach Belicheck got fined 500,000. but the Patriots owner Robert Kraft is gonna pay it off and it will be back to business as usual Sunday when the Pats face the san Diego chargers who have been talking trash about the Patriots.

Kayne West and 50 Cent have albums out did you hear?

i can't seem to escape the Media and Music industry push to let you know that two of the most overhyped and Overrated Musical acts of today Kayne West and 50 Cent each released albums on tuesday and they hype been going strong for weeks. both were on the cover of rolling stone together both were on 106 and park together on BET, both were on the recent MTV video music awards together. i can't stand neither one because Musically I don't feel them worth the hype they get. where do I start? Kayne West is a Marginal Artist in his right. Production is what gets him over. he ain't much of a rapper or a lyricist but he has catchy Pop culture references and knows how to chop a beat here and there and run with. he is like the up dated version of Puffy which tells you why he is getting over?

Curtis 50 cent Jackson has a raw street vibe but he raps so slow and he got alot of his skills off of Mase who was a Protege of Puffy. you notice a theme here? cats with Mariginal talent who have big Music label backing and the industry is so desperate for a huge hit that they will spent all kinds of money behind these two. now they each have 3 albums out and have been very successful, but there talent level hasn't gotten better but there ego has. Kayne has a joint label that includes Rapper Veteren Common and Singer Songwriter John Legend. but Kayne is tghe star of his own mind and inner circle.

50 Cent has has own logo lbel G Unit after he got signed under Eminem and Dr.Dre. 50 got into the water business and sold out his business to Coke a cola for quite a chunk. he has shoes, books been in movies,etc....

the marketing of Hip-Hop speaks more volumes than the actual creative Product we get as the "IN" thing to have. i think if we got the best of these two together then we might get a good set but two seperate albums shows ego out of control and so much filler there is a reason why down-loading is more consistant than the hype we are subjected to.

i wonder if there will be another showdown or two in the future between these two? i can wait. i apllaud the bread they have made and what they have accomnplished and I respect the Hustle, but Musically speaking they know they ain't worth half the Hype.

sad story about a young Black Woman held against her will

hearing about that story out of West Virginia was just sickening and Racist as all get out. Megan Williams was a tortured, beating and Sexually assaulted by six white people. She was called tghe N Word, forced to eat Rat and Dog Boo,Boo she was forced to drink out of a toilet stool and choked by a cable Cord. she was also cut and called the N Word. the sad part is that this crime isn't being called a Hate crime, when all the evidence and factors involved point directly to what it is. this always trips me out when a Racial Case is as obvious as the sky is blue and yet stuff gets sugar coated and watered down to prevent the facts. hearing this story sounds like a modern day Lynching that was unwanted. Bodily Harm and Racial Slurs along with a threat on life is obvious and there is no getting around it. my prayers go out to this Woman, her family and friends. this is a horrible reminder of Hate period. what kind of people would do something like this to a human being and also what kind of people would be so hateful to do this kind of abuse? this is a story that is so hard to take and hear. reminds me of 1907 and yet this is 2007. scary world and time.

9/11/01 six years later

remembering that sad day and time which shaped that year. the buildings being crashed into and all the lives lost that particular day. that day captured my mind and got my full attention. it affected people all over the world and it stopped time and citys across the country. what was next and how would we all react? it brought people together for a while and it spoke to the Human condtions and how safe we really are? my prayers and feelings go out to people who lost loved ones and though it was many thousands of mles away it truly hit me like a ton of Bricks. the scenes just made me feel so down. i have friends and folks that i had associated with at the time affected directly by the events in New York. it's a reminder of how fragile life truly is. it is a reminder that so much can happen so soon when you least expect. I will always remember this day and the impact it had over all of our lives.

Kevin Everett seriously hurt on Football field

though the Buffalo Bills lost a close game yesterday they suffered a even bigger loss when Tight End Kevin Everett suffered a career ending Spinal Cord Injury that is life threatening. the realitys of playing in the NFL are no joke. you can be hurt beyond repair. on any given play on a Football field you always run the risk of a career ending injury. Everett got hurt when he tackled a Denver Bronco on a Kick off return on a Helmet to Helmet hit. the fans in Buffalo were silenced and with Everett lying on the Ground so many things go running through your mind. Prayers go to his family, friends and fans. it is a scary thought and hearing the doctor saying that Everett may never walk again just was horrible news, but I Believe Everett will pull through. Football is a Sport and very Physical and it ain't a Previledge it is a reality dealing with sad to say Life or Death Situations.

MTV Video Awards tonight

does anybody still care about the mtv award show? I mean MTV hardly ever shows Music videos in prime time. they have a whole lot of reality shows and other shows that aren't music related at all. remember there was a time when this was a must have event. tonight the return of Britney Spears. this should be interesting at the response she gets and how her comeback song comes off. Timberland is serving as a Host. Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake,Beyonce Possible and others will be present in Las Vegas. the music industry is looking really lost on a whole because of several factors. downloading, filesharing has played a part, but also so many generic soundalikes who share writers and Producers and also the cloning of acts in all styles of music. it all adds up to alot of forgetable acts. MTV doesn't push alot of acts today so what is the point of a Video show that use to be a strong wheel for Musical Acts? this show could be interesting or could be forgetable depending on where you stand, but the big question is who will watch and is it enough anymore? this show once upon a time was a happening event and in the place to be but those days seem so long ago. the show became more about fashion than who Won. or who said what as to who did what on stage.

Pro Football is back

thursday night was the first game of the season with the World Cahmpion Indianapolis Colts spanking the New Orleans Saints rather easily. this Sunday the rest of the NFL starts off. my Buffalo Bills host the Denver Broncos and I want us to squash a Orange Crush. nothing like Pro Football and all the food, friends, and fantasy league players and rosters. time to see where your team does and how they end up come super Bowl Sunday in Arizona when it is all said and done. the New Comiss Roger Goddell i can take or leave. too much of a Iron hand on some things for my liking. can the NFL make it without a Michael Vick? will there be a Cinderalla team on the rise this year? the AFC is so Superior to the NFC it isn't even funny. this year marks the passing of the Great Bill Walsh and his Innovative West Coast Offense and the fact that quite a few coaches around the league were either directly under Walsh or have a tie to him. kick off and the games are getting ready to be set off. I can't wait and it is time cheer and get hyped. also saying a Prayer to Our Troops and remembering as 9/11 approaches also RIP to Pat Tilman. Monday Night Football and any kind of NFL is Back.

Eddie Griffin gets unplugged

Comedian Eddie Griffin got the plugged pull from him recently at show where the magazine Black Enterprise and members of the NAACP amongest others were present. He kept using the N Word and cursing and finally the plug was pulled from his set. He was told before hand that the audience wasn't gonna go for his brand of humor and also he was told to tone certain things down, but he didn't listen and Black Enterprise founder Earl Graves had Grffin's plug pulled and it made many in the audience happy. i always say you gotta know your audience and you can't use and say whatever around just any and everybody because certain things just don't fly. the NAACP wants the N Word taken away and there is a time and place for everything. a Lesson that I Hope that Eddie Griffin won't seen forget.

remembering Luciano Pavaroti

found out last night that Pavaroti passed and it was sad. I've been a fan of his music and his voice for years. I enjoyed his work with the three tenors and his vocals and Opera stylings left a lasting impression on me. He was also a Great Humanitarian and he always gave back. He was a Larger than Life personality and he was a voice that you felt from a far. I have a few of his albums and his tone served quite often for laid back days or nights. i felt his phrasing and enjoyed the drama and balance in his tone. he was a Man that left a lasting impact. he drew alot of people from all over the world toward him. He was a Positive force and a voice that was even stronger. May He rest in Peace and we will always have his voice that touched a great many folks.

Bad shoes and where to get some good shoes

hate going through shoes and having to switch them up every 3 months or so. I made sure this time that I got a good 2 for 1 deal this time around. but I also need a good strong solid pair that can hold up and that just rot on me. I was searching through newspapers like a Dog looking for a Bone and I was saying to myself where am I gonna go to get these shoes? I ain't into spending a whole lot of money for some sneakers, but on the other hand I don't want no Broke down shoes that make my feet go through them as if I was Fred Flinstone or something trying to make a stop. I was calling all the stores saying you got a deal on some Sneakers? I got lucky and am happy for now and I think I got the place where I willl be getting my shoes from now here on out. you know tossing out Bad shoes is like finding that money that has been sitting in your backpack or raincoat for a year and when you can move it to another place you smile as if you have won tokens at Chucky cheese or something. New Shoes bring a Smile to me.

saw that Justin Timberlake show and it was just ok

all the hype surrounding Justin Timberlake and it was a real average show to me. yeah he was standing in front of a piano playing and strumming some guitar chords but what was he trying to Prove? He was singing and dancing but what did he Prove again? HBO had this show on for 2 and a half hours and alot of it was grandstanding. Timberlake wants to be a Modern day Michael Jackson but he has along ways to go. selling alot of records and having alot of flash isn't gonna make you anywhere near close to being in the same sentence with the King of Pop. I was watching a Artist in Timberlake that had the flash, top set Band and dancers and everything else was in place in Madison Square Garden in New York,New York to be a night of a triumph, but the star on the stage didn't command nothing. he didn't have that "IT" that SuperStars are made of. He seemed to be trying to channel all of his influences but he couldn't set that stage on fire which Michael Jackson did some 19 years ago. i saw a act that can be polished and has some chops but doesn't connect in a way to match the hype surrounding his being and that is the Hype factor that so badly wants that modern day Michael Jackson.people want that Artist that trandsends the music world at large. the thing is it takes time to get where Michael Jackson got and a glossy concert on HBO and a backup band of Black Musicians,Singers and Dancers ain't gonna make you down because Justin Timberlake is far from there.if you are like me you want Michael Jackson to come back one more time to show this kid and other cats just how it is suppose to be done by a Pro.

Labor day

watched the Jerry Lewis telethon and that is a old school move all the way but so what it is a important show and part of my childhood that i will never forget. all the importances of the incurable diesase that Jerry Lewis has done charity for over the years. good to see Ed Mcmahon again. chilling out with family and friends talking on the phone also in cyber space. cleaning out some things as the new season starts to kick in. having grub off the Grill tonight. watching the Justin Timberlake show on HBO tonight and I ain't no fan of the dude, but ain't much else on so I figured i'd check it out. hard to believe that Labor day came up as soon as it did and it seemed just like yesterday i was partying during the 4th of July and enjoying the sunshine. sorting out what i want to clean and keep out. the garbage man can't come quick enough for me to toss out alot of older magazines I still got but I don't pay no attention to no more.

my Michigan Woolverines lost

i had to hear about the Upset yesterday and my phone didn't stop ringing with sounds of laughter and ha ha ha!! my Michigan Woolverines lost the first game of the season to a Appalachian State team that is from a lower division but they played a heck of a game and beat my team at home. going into the new College season i was hoping that my Woolverines might be playing for a national title but i got a feeling unless we go un defeated the rest of the season that we aren't seeing a shot at national title. the calls come left and right when my team loses. i do get calls when my team wins, but losing brings out voices and faces that i ain't seen in many a minute. to lose the game at home on a blocked field goal attempt and nearly ran back all the way was just too much for me. i feel for Woolverines Mike Hart who had a big time game, but it wasn't meant to be and hopefully our defense can get back to form. tough loss and not so nice phone calls.
