what happens when can't stop credit card companys from having your name on there list and they won't leave you alone? you know when your credit card rating is so bad that you are touching North Pole tempertures and you are ice cold in terms of paying off your debts?? what happens when high Priced sneakers, clothes, designer wear and logo im-printed clothing just stares at you through newspaper ads?? i get so tired of seeing all of the credit card offers that follow me around like a crazy Stan. but funny thing is when I wanted a credit card I couldn't get one. I had a Better chance of finding something in a Al Capone Vault unlike Gerald Riveria and I doubt anything is there. Credit Cards are coming back now because the Mail has alot of sales,but my trash can is filled and they are tossed left and right. i threw out about 5 offers just last week. I was like when did i get legit credit again??

Bill walsh Hall of Fame Coach dies

so many memorable people have passed known and unknown recently and in the past few years and there are some that you can relate to or admire,etc... well NFL Head Coach Bill Walsh was One of the Greatest FootBall Coaches amdn Minds the Game has ever known. He changed the course of the game. his west coast style offense was Ground-breaking in the 80's as the San Francisco 49ers won 3 super Bowl titles. He Groomed and drafred a 3rd round Quarterback by the Name of Joe Montana who would go on to become of the Greatest Ever to play the game. He pushed for a Wide Reciever by the Name of Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice is one of the Greatest Players ever to play the game period. and then later Grooming Steve Young at Quarterback who would years later lead the 49ers to a World title.

Walsh:gave African-Americans coaches a chance at coaching on the sidelines when it wasn't a happening thing. Ray RHodes,Dennis Green ended up as Pro Head Coaches elsewhere.

Mike Holgram, Mike Sahnian,John Gruden amongest others were assitants under Walsh and went on to win championships as Coaches on there own.

Bill walsh passed at age 75 due to Leukemia,but his legacy was long ago reached. He is a Mount Rushmore of coaches and he left a lasting impression as a Man. RIP

sports and the obvious racisim

i mean you are entitled to think what you want about Michael Vick's current legal issues, but the Man should be allowed to play Football until told otherwise. all of Nike and other endoresement places pulling his stuff off the selfs,etc... is racist and wrong. Let Vick have his day in court and then let the chips fall where they may. Michael Vick should be able to perform and do his thing on the field period.

Barry Bonds gets slammed by the media all the time and whatnot. cheap tactic shots. let me be frank, folks weren't given Hank Aaron his due back in the day. but now all of a sudden Hank is getting his long overdue. Barry Bonds is the Greatest Player that i have ever seen period. all the hate is weak.

i call out the White Media that always wants to diss Black Athletes all of the time. i mean in society i expect the obvious racial bias,etc... but sports was always suppose to be the great equalizer.

alot of the talking that i see on these sport shows, talk radio,etc.. feels more like something out of a episode of Bill O'reilly,Rush Limbaugh,etc... i just don't see enough balance

the federal minimum wage increase hmmm??

so by the summer of 2009 the minimum wage will be 7.25 and that will still be chump change for the average american. the richest nation in the whole world and the poverty level is very sad on so many levels. with the national debt,etc... there never seems to be anything of balance to fully compensate the many americans in the work force. basic health care, dental,etc... you can't expect to have things fully taken care of with such so-so wages. i wonder if the people in congress who pass these wage increases truly understand what the take home pay truly is?? i mean you have to have some basic understanding what the line of surivial truly is when you pass a wage. the wage should be enough to provide food, shelter and basic health,etc... for a person and there familys. what happens after two years and will the wage stay in place for a few years before it is challenged again??

back to school ads already

it seems just like yesterday that school was let out and already ads are in the paper promoting clothes, school supplies,etc... funny how time flies in the Summer time. it seems just like yesterday for me always thinking about going back to school. one day the Weather is real Hot and the Next it starts to fill mellow and the tide of the sky reflects a change of season and also that scene in a store that says that time of the year is fast approaching. the only thing that ever got me hyped about going back to school was the fact Football season was around the corner. in fact the start of Football starting back up gets me hyped. actually the start of going back to school meant new threads, shoes and that fresh hair due along with stepping up the game when it came to talking to the Girls. i love Long summers,but there is no charm to the ending. oh well thank goodness I ain't gotta worry about going back to school. but the memorys and time never leave.leaves falling though still get to me because of that change of season and smell.

the power of the internet and the Presidential party debates are bringing so many things together. youtube.com is only 2 and half years old,but it's already changing the way so many things are going down. now the debates are going to youtube.com for a minutes of discussions and responses on the topics being presented. a cyber questionare as the debates are going on. who saw a debate making it's way exclusively through technilogy? 21rst century creations is bringing politics everywhere. the Clintons are getting in on it. I've seen songs and things about the Presidential hopeful. there may even come a time when votes are taken from a website can you imagine that? the technilogy and Political landscape could one day be a click and a scroll away.

Hot Ghetto Mess/we can do better: BET is a Mess

leave it to Black Star Entertainment to come up with a show called Hot Ghetto Mess and then change it to we can do better. why is a Network that is dedicated to Black Entertainment and news events so bent on throwing disses back at Black folks? what is fun about having a Network that was created for and about Black People so eager to show a Race of People in such negative lights? even a few sponsors have pulled out from supporting this particular show. i watch Bet and always try to support the network,but certain things they do make me scratch my head because I can't figure out what they are exactly trying to do. i never what they will do for ratings next. i can dig the videos and things,but they do need some balance on the network in some form or fashion.

if you are older enough to remember the 45 single the Original 78 single, then the cassette Single, then the Cd Single welll where do you come in on the ringtone single? it's been around for a while obviously there is a chart in billboard magazine but the thought of having a celll phone ringing out a song as your answering machine use to do still feels funny for only so few precious seconds. need more time to enjoy the music I'd say,but not everybody i guess feels that way. so what was the best Ringtone you heard but did it make a song you'd buy? funny how a basic groove can provide a few minutes of joy to hear,but yet it's not enough to actually want to hear it on a stereo. funny how that works.

Michael Vick told not to come to camp

Who told Roger Godell he was the Judge and Jury of Players in the NFL? I'm tired of these Racist Peta people as well. Michael Vick is being lit into unfairl. now he has to prepare himself for his actions yes,but the way these looney turkeys are sitting in line to procalim Michael vick's guilt before he has his day in court is just wrong on so many levels. He should be allowed to work and do what he gets paid to do to me. the Man should be allowed to particiapate in trainning camp,etc.. what happens if Michael Vick is cleared of these charges then what? it feels and appears another form of a quick to judge a Black Man without everything being put into place. there is no balance whatsoever being displayed thus far. i see the Media being so one sided and no balance whatsoever.i hope Vick can come back and that there is some fairness involved. the implications involved are so deep on so many levels.

handicap woman turned away at Mcdonalds

i avoided this story for a minute until i was out and about and saw a handicap spot for parking. I often wondered that if a Mcdonalds had a special place for parking for people with certain handicaps then they should have a special system that would beep out when acustomer who couldn't get through drive thru or enter the building could have somebody get there meal to them. recently a woman went through the Mcdonald's drive thru with no arms and was turned away from service. now of course there is a lawsuit and other factors will come about. it didn't havew to be this way and it speaks volumes that a Billion dollar business doesn't have a special system set up to avoid situations as this that could have easily been avoided. there has to be some modern day technilogy to take care of incidents that shouldn't come to this.

Harry Potter Book sales

well this new book in the Harry Potter series is bound to sell a whole bunch of copies and the frenzy is something else when i watch the news and see so many people turning out at all hours of the night and all age ranges to getting there copy or copies. the Book's author was doing a reading as well last night overseas i believe. this Book gets people into full costume,etc... it's almost like the Rocky Horror picture show movie. Harry Potter is a culture all onto itself and whatnot. i haven't gotten that much into the Books or the films but i have checked out segements of them over the years and it just doesn't draw me in completely,but different strokes for different folks as the saying goes. but this is suppose to be the last of the story and the big question is what will happen to Harry in the end? oh the suspense and build up.

well today it has leaked that a former NBA Ref has Mafia ties because of a bad gambling Problem. now I have some friends from back in the day who ain't cared about the Nba in years. not so much about the players even though more traveling and carrying of the ball is allowed along with other rules, but the suspect calls and how some of these games go. so hearing that a ref was done on the take somehow just doesn't surprise or shock me. the sport has felt so funny time on so many occasions that nothing would surprise me. so this ref has the FBI on his behind and what will happen next? NBA Commisoner David Stern has got to be feeling a bit un-easy these days. if a Ref can call a foul in a important time of the game then it can mean winning or losing.now the Conspiracy theroist in me says that there are more refs down on the take and I wouldn't be surprised if a few players were in on the cut. needless to say Mark Cuban has to be somewhere saying i told you so. something just doesn't add up and isn't right. this has been a strange year in sports and in just the past week in the sports world.

the rugby player with a tooth in his skull

hard to believe that a person could be walking for 3 months and not feel something off within there headwith experiencing headaches and feeling woozy and come to find out it was because a tooth was stuck inside the skull part of a player. how do you not feel funny? now rugby players are tough,but gotta be a kinda crazy as well. a tooth inside your skull gotta make you feel blurry or seem dizzy. i wouldn't have believed it fully,but having come across rugby players and seeing how they get down, then i say anything and everything is possible. they thought of it is painful to the eye and to the mind.

possible 6 years in Federal Prisons fines that could reach 350,000 dollars,etc... nothing has been Proven yet and there isn't a conviction,but Michael Vick is facing a up-hill battle here that is tougher than any defense that he has ever had to face. the SuperStar QuarterBack of the Atlanta Falcons is in some serious hot water behind his tie in at dog fights which have resulted in dogs dying, beatings and alot of Money being exchanged,etc...

the average Joe is wondering why in the World would a SuperStar Quarter and One of the Faces of the NFL could get into this kind of mess? the outsider says that Vick has Cars,Houses,Women,Clothes and access to so much why and how did it come to this?? but down south dog fighting has always been a adventure and it's a known sport. i don't condone what has happen where Michael Vick is concearned because the allegations are serious,scary and downright cruel on so many levels,but there ia culture that has gotten a buzz off of this. pitting animals against one another. the NFL under new Commisioner Roger Godell ain't playing with any kind of off field issue. Vick will have alot on his mind in the coming weeks,months,etc... just how will this play itself out remains to be seen,but if a Dog is said to be a Man's best friend then Michael Vick may or may not have lost a good friend.

cell phones dirty?

that is the latest study where it's been reported that a cell phone carrys more stank than a toilet and other things. there is so much mouth and other direct contact with a cell phone. now I always wipe off the mouth piece and head part. now sneezing,coughing,etc... are factors that you might not think about within handling your own phone. not everybody has a handy wipe when they are touching there cell phone. now be it a public phone or a phone at a busienss or at somebody's home I just am funny about touching the parts. it's the facts that people get some comfortable within there own devices and things that they just aren't as cautious about germs. this recent study really is gonna make me wash my hands even more and also keep a cloth by a cell phone. this will really bring out the Mr.Clean in me.

Harry Potter number film what else is new?

i gotta say i don't really get into Harry Potter,but it is still a strong hit at the box office and also still generates alot of continued support for fans throughout the years. what makes a film so enduring for years and years?? what makes the story so compelling after all of this time? i know some folks who truly follow this series and can't go without viewing it. you know there is always something that comes along and just captures the imagination for quite a while. so it seems that whenever Harry Potter comes out it truly dominates and everybody sees it everywhere. will I ever get into it? Naw and I have tried. i do like films and storys that challenge the mind,but this doesnt move me enough to view with more than one watching. but my ticket ain't needed to let the franchise of Harry Potter that it is racking in the Loot.

ESPN a Bad sign of Commericialism

now i will be watching the Espy award show tonight with Lebron James and Jimmy Kemmel on board. it will be entertaining. but what has exactly become of ESPN and what does it say when one of there Mount Rushmore's Dan Patrick quits working for them? they have this interesting but poorly done Now list. every since they emerged and Bought ABC and got into other projects the quality of the network has taken a beaten in terms of credibility to me. they have there writers who most of the time sound very loaded and bias as all get out. there seems to be a robotic feeling that i feel from there network and how they present things alot of the time. the average sport fan is being treated to a Political build up as to a sports network that is suppose to report the news and stay in there lane. the Network has been MIA for years to me with there predictable takes on things. there was a time when Foxx Sports was on the outside looking in from the quality stand-point,but those days the gap ain't as far as it once was. yeah ESPN is richer,but there quality is getting poorer by the year. like modern day sports parity the same can be said about ESPN. they just control so much and there isn't a real rival to battle them. ESPN is about broad-based, HD,Cell Phones,digital,etc... everything it seems to be about except sports in most cases. ESPN has turned into a combination of MTV Meets E True Hollywood Story and other Network shows.

Gary Sheffield speaks his mind

no matter where you come down on Detriot Tigers Slugger Gary Sheffield,you have to respect his honesty with his feelings. this past few days Sheffield said that the New York Yankees don't treat Black Players quite the same as other players and Sheffield said that Yankee Manager Joe Torre more or less was funny time during Sheffield's stay with the yankees. this isn't the first time a Black Ball Player for the New York Yankees spoke out about how they were treated as a member of the Yankees. Gary Sheffield has always been outspoken and 9 times out of 10 i agree with him. Babseball like Society at large is very racist,but you know that comes with the territory. Sheffield said Yankee Captain Derek Jeter who is a Half Black and White isn't all Black when it comes to making his feelings felt,etc.... but Sheffield has a Son who is multi racial as well. I think Sheffield was saying that Jeter while a Great player and future Hall of Famer,etc... isn't vocal about racial issues,etc... alot of modern atheltes don't want to speak on it for fear of backlash,loss of endoresements,etc... I appplaud a Gary SHeffield who ain't afraid. Sheffield will be doing a interview on HBO's Real Sports this coming tuesday with Andrea Kramer. it's gonna be a must watch.

Tv Ad's 1-800 so and so

where would the world be without them? I mean for so many years there has been so many 1 800 this and that ways to meet people or talk,etc... always a way to sell Sex and whatnot. but would you really spend that much time seeking out people? cell phone, text message many .com's etc... what exactly happens if you were to meet somebody off these services and what does it say about yourself? also what if the phone services really do charge and your phone bill comes back as if you called overseas what would you do? the TV set is still One of the greatest seducers and it will create a fantasy that might have your whole being all wrapped into it's own devices. the years go by and the ad's never let up. maybe you just have to turn the Tv off,but wait it's also in Magazines,on-line,etc..... what are eye-balls to do under so much viewing??

it's almost friday the 13nth

no walking by a sign a certain way or this superstition or that. what makes people have that kind of reaction? do we all believe in a super natural power on a particular day and events? what happens if a particular day just doesn't go your way how much does a day as friday the 13nth truly play on that theme? imagine if your birthday was on friday the 13nth and you were worried about particular days what would you? have you ever broke any glass lately or had a mirror crack in front of you? did you say I got seven years back luck? so many myths and things are sid as Gospel,but not everybody subscribes to that point of view. having said all of that Friday the 13nth does make me think, but the movies that use to come out on that particular day can feel haunting. but somebody out here will say Fiday the 13nth and have a Smile on there face all day, still somebody that had a bad day on thursday the 12th or saturday the 14nth doesn;t want to hear this.

Hot days cool meals and plenty of drinks

it was bound to truly kick in as Summer time and it happen this past week where i live. very hit weather and hot air blowing everywhere. I wanted to eat mainly cold cuts and avoid any form of a microwave or a oven,etc.... also plenty of water,pop and just something cold to drink. but i do enjoy this weather and in the Summer in prepare differently and my eating habits take on a different meaning. sweating and thinking during dinner time is not what i want to be doing. i want to keep things cool and stay cool,calm and collective. as the tempertures rise, it's time to keep the body cool and everything else will stay chill.

my routine

what would i be without a routine? i tend to be a creature of habit, and always have believed in routines. be it eating the same things certain days, wearing certain clothes certain days,etc... does it mean good luck or extra fortune? not necessary. life just points a certain direction of choices and I'm lead that way. even the foods i like or Music i like to hear in certain ways. what takes a person into that direction and why? what makes me sleep a certain way? what makes me so focused on exact details and Perfections that might make someone else crack up off me and say he is a Looney Cat?? but then again we all got those issues. i mean everybody has there own routines and when push comes to shove we are all a bit looney in our way, with doing certain things and details in a certain manner, Right??

Baseball all star game in San Francisco

looking forward to the baseball All-Star game in San Francisco tueday night. i will be rooting for Barry Bonds and i can't wait until he breaks hank Aaron's record. I'm so tired of the racist hate and loaded treatment that Bonds recieves. the Man is the Greatest Baseball player that i have ever seen period. the game itself will have the same implications as before. which ever side wins the game then th team representng that division will get home field in the World Series which is plan looney. I mean what is a Good record for if it doesn't count come money time? but there are so many Great Players in this game on display. Bonds, Pujols,A-Rod,Griffey and others.
the All-Star Game ain't been the same in years and a great part of that is the Irony of Interleague play which counts for so much of so many fans turning out for games across the country. but this All-Star game shall be interesting and there is also the Say Hey Kid Willie Mays being Interviewed and he is One of th Greatest Ever and also a All time great Giants Player. can't wait for tuesday night.

Wimbledon History this weekend

Congradulations to all who participated and even bigger hand to the winners.

Venus Williams joined a handful of Women who have Won at least 4 Wimbledon titles since the open era of it. she also became the lowest seed to win it all since 1927. she has been Dominant just as Her Sister Serina. incredible story and accomplishments.

Roger Federer won his 5th straigth Wimbledon title and he joined Bjorn Borg as the only Man to accomplish that feat. Federer is within 3 major titles of tieing Pete Sampras for all time. just like Venus Williams,Federer is a Incredible talent.

last but not least this year and time period marks the 50th anniversary of Althea Gibson becoming the first African-American Winner in Wimbledon History. Gibson paved the way for all that came there after her from Arthur Ashe to the Williams Sisters and other Black Talents that have taken part in Championship Tennis especially at Wimbledon. always have to make sure to remember those that paved the way.

Andrew Bogut: more like NBA Bigot

so i heard what Austrailian Born NBA Ball Player Andrew Bogut said recently about the NBA. He plays for the Bucks. He said that the NBA is all about Bling, alot of girlfriends,cars, lifestyle,etc... sounds like alot of type-casting and loaded talk. not the first time nor will it be the last. interesting thing about Bogut is that upon entering the League he died his hair Black for cool points or so he thought. dude needs to shut up and work on his game on the court and also off the court. he said how players end up broke after there playing days well that is not the case with all NBA Players. He was talking in racial code,but if you watch the NBA then you know exactly where this was headed and going. there is always somebody who has something to say about a Black folks no matter what the profession. same ole same ole.

A Voice from the past

talk about 4th of July being memorable? My Best Friend from back in the day called me out of the blue and talk about a Fred G.Sanford Moment? I couldn't believe it and yet i had a feeling in time that my Home Boy was gonna call and reflect.it's funny though as time goes by and events happen in lives that True friends stay real.so there is a feeling of great joy to hear a what's up and how the old Neighborhood is shaking?? those moments in time have no pressure or politics involved because they are on the up and up. a voice on the machine that just makes you feel as if you were still back home deserves a RIGHT ON!!

finding a penny in the grass

funny to look down in a area of grass and find a coin plain staring at you. i was wondering where it came from,but nothing really meant anything until it could be that one penny that might actually have some sort of specialness. so a Penny makes a dollar and the good will and moment of that penny could mean various things. so i didn't touch the coin,but just glared at it as if it was something of a special symbol and yet i knew it could mean something,but i'd rather respect the purity of that coin.

Fireworks and be careful

fireworks are going off left and right,but please be careful. I've seen mini poppers and things,but some folks have the heavy stuff that is just dangerous and not safe at all. i mean i ask what are you gonna do with that type of fire crackers? nowadays things are investigated and looked into fully. just how you handle them and set them off is very important. i prefer to watch other people set them into motion. never been my cup of tea,but I'm a big time fan of watching them explode but some people tend to get a big heavy-handed with them. want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable 4th of July day and week,but do be careful with the explosives because some of them can have serious impact and implications if not handled carefully. i'll sit back chill and enjoy the fireworks.

Kobayashi and Joey Chestnut Hot Dog battle

there is the Super Bowl, Wimbledon, Daytona 500, the Masters, NBA Finals, World Series, Boxing Championship fights, Kentucky Derby, etc.... but on the 4 of july in Coney Island,New York the Hot Dog Championship will be the main event. forget Baseball and everything else Kobayashi the 6 time Hot Dog Eating Champion will battle Joey Chestnut in what is bound to be talked about in the Hot Dog Eating contest for days to come. ESPN has been in recent years hyping this event up and now Vegas is even taking Odds since Kobayashi has a sore jaw from chewing. I think it is something else at how fast these cats eat Hot dogs, but at the same time it's getting treated like a Major sproting event. i guess if I don't have anything else to watch I shall check it out as well. I will be eating Hot Dogs as well on the 4th with Pop,but unlike those participants I ain't gonna be in any hurry.

4th of july plans

happy 4th of july and what are your plans? what do you do on Wednesday and then you might have to go back to work on thursday? what is on the grill and also who is all coming by,etc...?? now in memory of relatives and people who have given there lives to our freedom from the past to present i want to take a moment and say thank you and bow my head in acknowledgement. now hopefully the weather is warm and there is a feel good vibe going down. past times i reflect on what i did and now i look forward as i celebrate with fire works and alot of smiles. wishing everybody a safe and great holiday no matter how long you are celebrating the 4th. peace and remember to show the troops world-wide the love and remember what this particular holiday truly means.

Wimbledon, it's that time of the year

every year since i was a little Boy I always use to wait for Wimbledon weekend to come along. always watching tennis in England and seeing who would win the Major tournament. it was always a big deal then and I still get hyped about it. matter of fact back in the day me and my buddys would act like we were playing Wimbledon in the backyard. we would have a Birdy Set and Rackets and really go at it. it was a whole lot of fun back in the day. of course I'd run to the tv set either early in the morning or a bit later in the day to find out who won. but there was something special about watching Wimbledon on NBC back in the day. the days of Borg versus Mc-enroe or Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Martina Navetalvaa,Billy jean King,Chrissy Evert Llyod, all the way till now with Roger Federier,the Williams Sisters and others. but watching it on 4th of July weekend was a great feeling and then admiring the royality that England projected with the championship and everything going on. still must see tv, I do say.
