by now just about everybody has heard about Police Officer Bobby Cuttis Jr being charged with Killing his Baby Momma Jessie Davis who was also carrying his baby and already had his kids. now the twisted part is that Officer Cuttis had a Wife and other kids and a past trail of violence and other issues. compound that Davis's Mother and sister were becoming suspect over things when Jessie Davis went missing for a while. now there is so much else going on. another Chick that was messing with Cuttis is being charged with helping in the Murder as a Co-Conspritor. also Cuttis is a Black Man and Jessie Davis was a white woman and there have been even some folks saying this is what can happen in Interracial relationships. this is the Kind of thing that didn't need to be said,but Race always plays a huge part in our society. Race, Sex, class and Power all are playing a role. the Police Force that Cuttis was a member of said that Cuttis has given the force a Black Eye. in this case is true as they say it is then you gotta bring the Electric Chair out. this was foul. now I always champion a soul brother,but if this is the way things went down, then what has to be done has to be done. it is a tragedy and sad.a Love Triangle with a Wandering Romeo that ended with a extra eye and a bout of Anger that wasn't controled.

so the Hype over the NBa Draft night has come and gone and teams in the NBA are already gearing up for a interesting up coming season that will be quite interesting for some. Greg Oden got selected number 1 by the Portland Trailblazers and Kevin Durant got selected at number 2 by the Seattle supersonics,after that this is a very deep Draft year where all teams should stand to gain something. now every year there is that would've,could've,shouldn've type of player and possible trade that didn't go down. there were trades last night that could have long term implications. drafts from all over the world are in this draft as in years passed and there is bound to be a Steal pick somewhere later in the draft.the NBA Draft nor the Baseball Draft combined can hold a candle to the NFl Draft. but it does make for cool Arm chair General Manager conversation.

Chris Benoit what happening exactly??

by now news of WWF Wrestler Chris Beniot is known throughout. story goes he killed his Wife and Son and then took his own life. story also goes that there was a report that his Son was dealing with some severe challenges that were gonna affect him for probably the rest of his life. alot of rumors were going down that Steriods Provoked Benoit and then there was storys about how alot of wrestlers since 1985 hadn't lived to the age of 50. so many excuses except the fact a cold Hearted Murder seems to have went down and then a self-inflicted Homicide that wipped out all three lives.so much goes on behind close doors and in the World of a Professional Wrestler on tv various things happen,but just like any ordinary Joe people have moments where they get pushed and this seems to be a moment where Benoit couldn't bring a 3 count. in the Wrestling ring a count of three means you are pinned, in real life Benoit did his own count and there is no coming back and there is no real end in this very tragic story.

i still don't get why Paris Hilton is getting all of this attention again. yeah she is a Millionaire thanks to her parents,but what has she ever done? why would Larry King Bump Michael Moore a respected film-maker for a no talent hack like Hilton? it just goes to show you that Money talks and everything else walks. her out of Jail greeting by her parents, a Mob of cameras,helicopters, and general Media which what does it mean again?? but then again the Paris getting out of Jail effect does happen to other folks as well, though with less fanfare. it seems getting out Jail in some circles is more rewarded than Graduating from a College or something. I watched Shaquille O'Neal's show about saving Obese children who aren't exercising enough and don't have a Balance diet in there lives and other factors that could cause them some serious Problems if changes aren't done soon. shaq and His Physical Trainer along with a doctor and Other People spoke of the balance of exercising and maintaining balance. I think it's very important to save the children. Shaq had the kids do Push ups,running,and then go to a gym. Shaq personally went to each Kid's house to find out what they ate and also what was going on in there household. Shaq vowed to make changes in these Kids Lives and also to make changes for a healthy tommorow for these Kids and there family's.Shaq is One of the Most Influential Athletes and Personalitys Ever. this is a very important subject and needs to be embraced. unlike some of these people saying loss weight or doing it for vanity reasons, shaq's cause is about Life or Death.I applaud Shaq for dealing with a important subject and making it a cause.you can be any shape,etc... but if you aren't balancing it out with exercise and other important factors then other factors can occur such as diebetes,Heart diease,trouble breathing,etc... this was a Good show.

Marion Jones was a Gold Medal Winner and is a Super fine looking Woman,but hearing that she is in MC Hammerville Broke in terms of Money is a you gotta be kidding moment. Marion Jones seemed on top of the world only seven years back,but fast forward to alleged steriod allegations and all the Legal fees of paying Lawyers and whatnot she has now had to sell her Home and Her Mother's crib as well. saying she is down to her last 4,000 thousand Dollars after making some much coin back in the day and you gotta ask where did it all go? she doesn't even know. Bad Relationships and bad business all bite her and came all at once. now you can always make a comeback in america and people love a comeback,but what is gonna happen in the end between time? Marion Jones is a smart,talented Beautiful Woman,but what happen to a Woman who seemed to have it all? some Hurdles are harder to jump than others.

things to do in the Summer time

well i got the Music blasting, plenty of Cool Drinks, Card Games going and alot of Out door activity. what happens when it rains with Thunder and Lightening? you see summer is already thrown Me a curve Ball. people who have known me, relatives, friends,etc... know that One of my trademarks in the Warmer time of Summer is to get sweaty and just hang outside,but what happens when the Climate and overall overview won't coroperate with what I want? so I stayed home and watched cartoons. Droopy the Dog Ones which reflects my outlook upon looking outside. watching Tom and Jerry to get a laugh and pass the time. did have some nice Ice Tea,but without that sunshine it wasn't quite the same.ice cream flaots and Ice just don't hit the spot since summer offically started 3 days back,but hopefully the overcast shall change and Bring about some warmth.

charges. now I personally feel that Black folks shouldn't have to pay taxes. I truly feel that part of the settlement for reperations should be not paying taxes,but since that in Law then a Brother like Wesley Snipes has to pay as we all do. Rich,Poor,Middle you gotta pay Uncle Sam no matter if you agree or not. now nobody is gonna feel bad for a Multi Millionaire Man who didn't want to pay his taxes. however I feel that from a Racial stand point of view he should get to pay it off over time. I mean Willie Nelson had 16 million in debt that he owed Uncle Sam and He got a chance to work it off and pay it off.regardless of where you stand on this we all know that Uncle Sam will collect one way or the other and it ain't always fair,but the Money is always Green and no matter what I feel or anybody else Wesley like us all knows that Green Talks and the Rest walks.

First day of Summer

it was the longest day of the year and the weather where i stay was bordering on almost rain and mild. I was thinking to myself will summer ever fully kick into gear? imagine if you will a place where Summer,Spring,Winter and Fall are a mixture almost ready to happen at any given moment? most places where I have lived the Weather always represented where I lived,but where i stay now you can't really tell the season sometimes especially during the time period where it's suppose to be warmer. I look forward to hearing the ice cream truck and feeling the warmth of June,July,August and September.lots of Music listening, Cook outs,and enjoying all of the Great clear blue skys.tonight was a good start,but I want to see even more Sunshine which is pure and you feel the rays.i just got over a cold and maybe some nice weather will truly cheer me up and my overall spirits. we shall see and hopefully feel.

Sammy Sosa tonight hit his 600nth Home run and I think that is special when you consider it appeared just two years back that Sosa appeared to be washed up and down. not to Mention all the Steriod aliegations and whathave you that seemed to take away from what Sosa had accomplished. but tonight Sosa shut up the haters big time. He overcame so much and got a chance with the Texas Rangers his Orginal team. the Irnoy of tonight is that His 600th Home run was against his former team the Chicago Cubs. Sosa is in Selective Company where only Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron,Babe Ruth,Willie Mays have each hit 600 or more Home Runs. it is a Rare feat and a special accomplishment.Sammy Sosa deserves to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame and he is a Great Hitter period.

last night a tennis player was on a tc Dating show deciding between dating hot chicks in there 20's, 30's and 40's. a Win,Win,Win Situation all the way. but the thing that gets me is that this guy is a Known athlete. the Myth and creation is that if you are famous and kinda known or even halfway known then you wouldn't or shouldn't have a hard time finding a Lady. I mean it's one thing if the average Joe goes on a dating show to find a Lady,but it's another ball game when somebody in a Known Profession is seen as the Oridinary Joe. what does that say? most people think that celebritys have a ton of Groupies and things and there is alot of truth to that,but then there are the middle of the road folks who aren't quite as lucky in there Profession and also in there seeking out a Love.you never know who is gonna be on these shows,but the reality can sometimes seem truly unreal.the Irony of the matter and the story lines.

cold in June and it's almost Summer?

talk about strange weather in the air? it's about 3 days away from Summer,but where I live it feels like a late Winter day in Febuary where that brisk of cool air is making me bundle up. now I'm use to a few breezy nights,but when I have to bundle up to stay warm then the weather is tripping. I live out on the West Coast and in my part of the country it can be Cold at any time of the year and you just have to prepare for it. it's not quite Big Jacket and Heater weather,but it's chilly enough that find myself a Blanket and Burry my head under the covers. in my neck of the woods I'm waiting for that Sunshine to come back which a few weeks ago appeared that it was gonna be something nice and warm,but since then I've watched rain and cool air intercept the Sunshine and warmth that i enjoyed. hopefully a few weeks ago wasn't gonna be the best of summer.

recently on the cover of Playboy a Female Gold medalist posed on the cover and in a Pictoral for Playboy which she said she wouldn't regret. now there is a difference between the sexes upon posing. if a Male Athlete does it then he better be a known Athlete as far as getting any attention and then all of the Myths of a Male Athlete has to make things that make the magazine sell. the Female Athlete has to be Attractive of course,but the sexism nature of the Entertainment and the World double's the vibe as to how people will respond to a female athelete posing. so can it be avoided without any sort of backlash? will anybody care in time or does it overshadow all of your previous accomplishments?? Athlete's unlike Musicians and Actors/Actress's are seen and held in a different light. this is a interesting topic that i have had discussions with and have thought about.

Baseball's Gary Sheffield a Outfielder for the Detriot Tigers spoke the truth recently when he mentioned the fact that Black Players are being slowly written out and more Latino Players are being pushed into Major League Baseball. Sheffield said the reason is because the Latino Player is more easier to control. a Black Ball Player,not all but quite a few aren't gonna go for these Teams treating them all any kind of way.I find it truly sad that here on Jackie Robinson's 60 th year anniversary of breaking the color line in Major League baseball at how some teams in MLB don't even have African-American ball players. it truly is wrong.i've always applauded and respected a Brother like Gary Sheffield who has been one of the few Big time Athletes to truly speak his mind.the reality is simple,a Black Player who doesn't pan out with a team can just bounce,but the scouts and Managers/Owners who run these teams control a young Latino Ball player and also with threats of sending them back to there home country and without pay as well.Gary Shieffield's Uncle is Dwight "Doc" Gooden and He saw a whole lot.I dig Black Athlete's that speak on the real and Ain't afraid and there ain't that many around who speak on the real.Props to Gary Sheffield.

Already thinking about summer and the song

every year especially during summer there is a Song that comes out and it reflects that particular time period and all things Summer.the sentiment and Memorys it brings back. going back in time there was always that One Jam that got the cook out going and the Jam was banging from the Boom Box. have some Kool-aid and a smile. Summer is about a week away and already I got my ears on the radio for that jam. the feeling in the air for a sound and words that speak of that time period.i always hope the song is by somebody that i like and that the song is a a Groove.warm days, Blue skys and a nice drink to keep cool.I want a song to speak on it and then wait until the next summer and wait for the next one and so on.

the NBA Finals was a Snoozefest

they say it ain't over until the Fat lady sings,well in this Finals the Fat Lady done Sang and has gotten a Midnight Snack and is doing the Encore that the San Antonio Spurs have Won the Finals already and also like alot of us want this mess of a Finals over. this week in tv viewing has been extremly wack it ain't even funny. too bad the Sorpranos Black Screen ending can't be used for this Finals between San Antonio and Cleveland. this Series is a Mess and is Ugly big time. Now Lebron James has done good in spots,but doesn't have a Side-kick and he also seems lost and unsure of what to do with the Ball. meanwhile the Spurs lead by Tim Duncan who is still unstoppable along with Tony Parker,Manu Ginobli are on there way for another RIng. there Coach Greg Popivich just collects Rings and Wins. also Props to Robert Horry on another Ring and big time post-season play. but this Finals where a Sorpranos Black-Out Marker is needed ASAP and lets hope the next finals will be better.

40 years ago Interracial-relationships were legalized

hard to believe that 40 years ago this date in history that Inter-racial marriages became legal. well America has always had it's greatest difficulty where Race and Racial issues is concearned. the fact that some states made it a crime to being Married to a Person of another Race in this country as little as 40 years ago doesn't surprise me. today there are more couples who have married a person of a different Race,but it doesn't mean that everybody is happy about it,but it's more common these days. what alot of people fail to see is that just because One is with or Married to a person of another race doesn't mean that a person somehow gets a Cross-Over Pass or somehow loses there Racial Idenity. matter of fact being married to a person of another Race means you have to really deal with even more issues and of course some stares and un-wanted glares.but when it comes to Love if you truly are in Love and believe in Destiny then you have won and Kicked Hate and Haters to the curb and you know that feeling and no matter be it on the Books or not nothing can stop what you have and what you will fight for and that is the Ultimate that Love is all about.

The Sorpranos finale was weak and a bad joke

when a show ends and it's a wrap then you need to have something memorable and not something as lame as how that show ended. yeah we all know it will probably go to the Big Screen and that is where the big money truly is,but at the same time this show last night was empty and didn't say nothing. there are quite a few folks who feel as i do that when a show ends that it should conclude with a Big bang. instead you get a blank screen and a whole lot of thinking for yourself jive that doesn't answer anything and just makes the creator of the show come off more smug and Greedy. the show has been dragging and been on auto Pilot for some time now and this was just another form of that. some people liked the ending because it was based on the Mind and making your own ending,but I prefer more action and not all the psyco mental thought process. the ending was lame and it just sets up a ovbious pay day at the Box Office but what happens next might have already turned alot of folks off.

what does a Survey say about yourself? do you often get together with friends and family and debate things in Entertainment,food,Politics,etc...??? it's the enjoyment of starting out your own survey and seeing what you agree on and what you differ on. who are the people who take these polls and how come I've never encountered them at any point and time? how I'd like to take part on one of these. the usual 1in 3 or 1 in 5 type of surveys that so often are mentioned and yet I don't hear nobody saying in a magazine or is ever acknowledging they have taken part in a survey of any kind. where are the people who pick between Coke and Pepsi?? the People who pick between Burger King and Mcdonalds? I mean we value what is selected in stone as the place to be and Marketing is King in the United States in all phases of life. wouldn't it be nice to actually have your selection used as the main choice for what you truly wanted? and you know what? turn away from those outside forces and make up your own Survey and mind and see how different things turn out.

what will happen to Tony? who will be singing with the fishes? for almost a Decade this show on HBO has been One of the most watched and Water cooler discussed Shows Ever. now for me personally the show was in it's prime and peak to me back from 99-02. the show dealt with the Mafia and the rules of the game,but it ran it's course to me. there is only so many topics that you can deal into. it was a Interesting show for a while,but it also had alot of cliche Stereotypes as well. it was a Good show for a while that had a chance to being a Great show. now the Tony Sorprano Character played by James Gandolfini is a TV Icon that will still be talked about in time,but the show itself lost it's steam and yet it's hard to believe that tommorow is gonna be the last show possibily forever. what makes you remember a show? what makes you remember Character? what makes you gravitate toward a show and tune in and look forward to what shall happen next? whatever will be will be and so we shall see how all of this plays out and it's bound to a interesting Bada Bing.

the Stanley cup Hockey Championship who watched?

so last night was the final of the Stanley Cup and the Anaheim Ducks Won it all against the Washington Senators. but ho watched it? Hockey is still a Big draw at Arenas,but in terms of being on Tv it's falling off badly and even worse. it was Broadcasted on NBc Recently and the Ratings were dead in the water. Hockey has suffered from the fact of there strike along with the fact they are no longer on ESPN.they are so far from the Major sports Landscape these days it ain't even funny. interestingly I've seen Snoop Dogg at some of the recent games,but even a Famous face or more in the Crowd just isn't bringing in the Excitement. Hockey needs a Major overhaul and in this country it's on the verge of having the same Fate as Boxing and Horse Racing.i never got into Hockey myself,though I respect the Athleticism and dedication it takes to play the sport. you have to be Quick,strong and well balanced on your feet. but the Interest isn't being felt here in the USA and Hockey needs a Major make-over.

Don't Drive Drunk

i think about the Stevie Wonder song from 1984 that says don't drive drunk,but you know everytime i turn on the news and it doesn't matter if it's local or somebody out in Hollywood somebody out there think they can make it. it's no worth it. if it's people that you know that are doing it,then you are praying that they make it and eventually get some help and you hope they don't hurt themselves or anybody else. what does it take to make people hip to not drinking and driving? I get the feeling that folks on Cell Phones and other gadgets while behind the wheel will eventually have the same effects and fates.now Stevie Wonder obviously doesn't drive,but if he can make a song where he says don't drive drunk then you would hope that people might take notices of that and the damage it can do. a Breath taste that not only stings but would make a Ant start to gag is a sign you need to stop what you are doing. this is one of the reasons why Car Insruance prices are through the Roof,but as my Family Members use to tell me back in the day:you gotta drive for yourself and the Next Fool to.

June Weddings

it's that time of the year where alot of couples get married and there is something seasonial about when June comes along. all the Wedding inserts in papers are coming along this particular week to let you know that it is June. not saying the Union of two People doesn't take place in other months,but there is something about a June Wedding that truly sets off Summer. it's warm and the sky it seems feels extra Blue. I never quite got all the reasons and Answers why this particular Month is selected as the main month,but it has a tradition with so many June Brides. there is something special upon seeing a Bride and all the facial emotions and Joy that are in place.anyway there is a Good Scent in the air for June and the vibe says a Good Wedding surely beats a Bad day at the Race track.

Baseball managers are tripping

this weekend watching a Minior League Manager crawl all on the Ground and just do whatever after he got tossed and then watching Major League Managers losing it as well was something else. Baseball is the only sport where a Manager can act like something out of Wrestling's WWF and the other Tv Wrestling where the Wrestlers talk about what they are gonna do,etc... Baseball Managers have always gone off.but this Minior League manager this weekend truly went off with his Antics. it does sell the game and is a form of entertainment. in the NBA you get two Technicals and then you are tossed from the game. very rarely do i see a Football Coach thrown out of a game. NHL I see it,but nothing compares to Baseball.dirt thrown, kicking the Ground and just going off period. it will make you laugh and it is entertaining big time.but this weekend truly had me cracking up.

Cleveland versus San Antonio in the NBA Finals

well the NBA Finals will start on Thrusday night from San Antonio. Cleveland lead by Lebron James also known as King James leads his cavs against the San Antonio Spurs. the Casual NBA Fan will be interested in Lebron James being in the NBA Finals. the Cavs aren't a particular Loaded team in terms of talent and to have a Leader as Young as Lebron James at the age of 22 is even more incredible. but the Cavs have alot of fight and heart. the San Antonio Spurs are also something else. lead by Tim Duncan and Tony Parker,Minu Ginobli and of course there Great coach Greg Popivich. the Cavilers Coach is Mike Brown and he has done a great job with Cleveland. this is gonna be a Interesting Series and should be a Memorable one as well. this is a Interesting series since the Spurs have already Won 3 titles in the past 10 years. the Cavs have been on the recieving end of losing for years as has been the case of other cleveland Pro sports teams for a relaly long time,but Lebron James might be changing there fate. as the sign in cleveland says on the Billboard you are a witness and Greatness is staring you in the face.

Michael Vick and the Dogs

by now if you are a Sports fan then you have heard about ichael Vick an the Dog Fighting that has been alleged to have gone down at his crib in In Virginia. Dog fighting has gone on for years and Centurys,but it is a Felony in that particular State and other places in the Country. now this Practice goes on all throughout the country as does Shooting Marbles,Dice,etc... but when a NFL Superstar Quarterback who is a Multi-Millionaire is rumored to have been involved with betting some serious heavy bets on Dog Fighting then it becomes headlines. Suddenly ESPN feels like 20/20 and part of some tabloidesque show. I doubt Vick will have to deal with anything,but this mess could get ugly. he has had other off the field and on the Field issues in the past and not to mention he has to Produce for the Atlanta Falcons or else.this is gonna be a interesting summer for Michael Vick.there have been quite a few Snithes all lined up to say whatever and to speak on Vick.Animal Cruelty isn't right,but it happens so often in so many instances that it gets taken for granted on some levels,i just hope the powers that be won't use a FootBall Player to make a Example out of.or that would be getting feed to the dogs.

June is Black Music Month

well it is June 1rst and today starts a celebration of Black Music Month. all genres and styles of Music are celebrated. from Jazz to Rap and everything else in between. so many Great African-Americans have forever changed the way we hear Music and it is a World-Wide Creation that has brought so many people together from all over the World. from the African Drums from the Motherland all the way down in the delta Blues to the streets where Funk Music,where Doo Wop got going, where other styles were created in this stew.my life wouldn't be the same without all the Incredible soulful Music that has been created by Black Folks. it's my roots and also it's the Music that moves me the most first and foremost. Black Music has been Emulated, and Imitated,but never Duplicated and it can't touch the real thing.enjoy the Soul and go all the way and explore the Beaty and soul of a Music that is Timeless and will always touch and Inspire.
