last night was interesting during the Miss Universe contest where Miss Usa Rachel Smith Slipped and fell on Her Booty and then played it off real cool. it was during the Evening Gown Part of the Show. it had to be hard for her to walk and to move with the Heels and the Long Gown. she is a cute Chick,but a bit on the Boney side which means if you ain't got some Cushion then you gonna take a hard fall. but too her credit she bounced right back up. she got Booed which I just didn't understand at all.falling and how you get back up is always interesting and it happens alot of times,but how the person themselves reacts to it is even more interesting.the most important thing is that she was alright.

a nice long weekend coming to a end

well this weekend went by like a blur,but I had a good ole time. got out and played some Basketball,Football, grooved to Music of course. my play list this weekend was,Rick James, the Whispers, Michael Jackson,R.Kelly,Babyface,Frankie beverly and Maze,just Jamming this weekend.also had to get on that cookOut with Family. it was nice.weather was nice and folks was friendly,except for some stanky Bum who was bothering me for some Change. but everything else was on Point. drank some Orange Pop and kept a smile on my face. watched sports all weekend and it was some interesting things on when i did watch,but I ain't the One to be all glued to the Tv especially when the Weather is nice out where i live because our Weather is more known for Rain than Sunny days. getting into the last few days of May and getting ready for June. well the big sporting event of this weekend is the Indy 500 and the big Question is will Media Sensation and a very attractive chick Danica Patrick will she Ever Win or remain a Sport Eye-candy? this Race features two other female Drivers besides Patrick which means the Car Racing Main Event is entering into new Territories and this could be something quite intriquing. the speeds and the turns will make for must see viewing.i always enjoy the photo finishes along with the trash talking that goes within Car Racing. Car Racing in alot of ways reminds me of Pro Wrestling because the talking and Hype tends to alot of the time over-match the actual Event,but a Racing Event as this one really brings a whole lot of interest and then some.let your engines begin and the checkered Flag awaits.

Ultimate fighting

Ultimate Fighting isn't new,but the way it's Popularity is Soaring across the nation and even more recently with big fights coming up it seems like the latest In Big thing. Ultimate fighting is Part Boxing with part Kicking and take downs. it's very physical and yet it has it's own Uniqueness about it. recently the big Fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather drew a huge Audience live and also on Pay Per view but it's been a long time since Boxing has truly held People fully. Ultimate Fighting is happening now. I can't say its gonna be still the In thing in a few years,but with Boxing basically hanging in the Ropes, Ultimate Fighting is the New champ on the Block.there are quite a few fans of the sport. I've watched some of the fights on fox sports and it is entertaining. no matter what the rules any type of fighting will always get people's attention. there is a Hungry audience for a good brawl.

Memorial Day Weekend plans

what do you do for this upcoming long weekend? of course Bar B Que and if the weather is nice where you are then like myself you will get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Memorial Day Weekend has always been a cool time of the year for me from my school days.also gotta take time to say prayers for Our Troops and Remember Past Troops. this is a Patriotic Holiday as well and needs to salute all Troops past and present. this is a Weekend to get together with Family,Friends and talk and reflect.I always enjoy Holiday Weekends though they almost all seem like a Blur but i feel this one will be alright. I don't want to be stuck watching a whole lot of tv and if when the Weather is warm the Tv tends to stay off,but the BoomBox will be Bumping some Jams. Enjoy yours because I'm gonna enjoy mines.

so the May Sweeps kicks into full gear and now these two Entertainment shows are going for the Full May Sweeps. last night Dancing with the Stars had over 22 plus million people watch the show. now tonight it's American Idol. alot of hype and commericialism to Promote the shows and alot of People including myself will be watching. we all like to be Entertain on some levels and shows as these make you want to vote and have a say on these shows. now mind you I feel these shows are fixed and the results never hardly ever surprise me. you can pick up certain things as to what direction things might be going on,etc... the real Winner doesn't even matter because the Shows will be back before you know it and if you can remember the Winners then you really have been paying attention,but these shows do capture the Imagination and make for good Water cooler debates.

NBA Lottery Night

well tonight was the NBA's Lottery Night and the Portland Trailblazers got the Number 1 pick followed by the Seattle SuperSonics. meaning that Greg Oden, Kevin Durant will be the 2nd pick. this Year's Draft looks very impressive,but nobody saw the Portland Trailblazers and the Seattle SuperSonics pulling down the top two draft picks in the upcoming draft. the Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzles were expected to be 1 and 2 this year.just goes to show that you can't expect anything to go according to plain. suddenly Portland has a Good Young Team. Seattle is almost out of the State because they can't get a new Stadium built and the team has stunk the past couple of years. this will be a interesting Draft to say the least and it features a deep draft as well. stya tunned.

usually when George Foreman is on the Book Trail or Promoting something then I'm lookign forward to it and this is no exception because He is Promoting His new Autobio Book. the Man is a Champion and a Pitchman of the very successful Foreman Gril. but in his Book He claims that during the Rumble in the Jungle the Classic Fight in Africa between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali that Prior to the Fight that He had something put in his drink. I said yeah something was put on you and it was ALi's Glove that went upside your head. now George Foreman is a all Time Great Champion,but Muhammad Ali rolled the Rope a Dope style on Him and left him dizzy like he had been drinking shots left and right that night.i don't like to hear somebody speak on something that is 30 plus years old as if we can examine that? I mean George if this was 20 or so years back and you said something then it might be interesting,but to sell your Book in 2007 after all this time? ain't alot of People gonna believe that,but it does make me laugh a bit for the wrong reasons. still gotta dig George Foreman though and I will be enjoying my Foreman Grill this summer.

Shrek 3 brought in a Boatload of Money

no surprise that Shrek 3 dominated the Box Office and easily soared past the 100 million dollar mark in a few short days. this Animated film the 3rd in the series just maintains it's base and is a strong force. it speaks volumes that a Sequel especially in this style of film making still captures the public's imagination and never lets up. I'm looking forward myself to checking this latest one out once things cool off a bit. but with the long weekend coming up next weekend I don't expect the Hype to cool off any time soon. I like films that truly have a buzz and make you want to check them out. this film has the same Big Name voices and it should be a interesting film. I know that a trademark sells just was the case with spiderMan 3,but if a Film is truly tight after it's multi sequels then it might be on to something. we shall see.

De Lay Hoya and Mayweather the Big hype Fight

watched the fight last weekend on HBO.the fight could have gone either way or been a draw,but it wasn't anything worth all the hype. neither fighter is a Knock out specialist and that is a big reason why you should never over hype a Fight between two Fighters. this Fight drew a whose who,but did I feel I got my money's worth? can't say I did. Boxing is fast becoming a thing of the past and alot of that has to do with the fact that there aren't 10 worthy Fighters Combined that can draw enough interest for Fight Fans to truly give up the Big Loot for. a cat like Oscar De Lay Hoya is rolling off what he did in years passed. he was a very Good Fighter in his Peak and Prime and can still Fight,but He was always the Golden Boy and Sold alot of tickets,but he also left me kinda cold. as for floyd Mayweather he is a Very Good champion,but again I ain't blown away and I can't stand to see a Cat procalim themselves the Greatest Pound,for Pound when they know and true Fight Fans know that dude wouldn't be able ot hang with the truly great Middle weights of the past. but the Hype Machine will have you believing and also spending bucks on a couple of very Good Fighters who each have had there moment to shine,but they don't have that "It" that makes you really want to admit where they would really stand against the Best of the past.

Bob Barker and Walter Cronkite CBS honoring two tv Icons

this past few nights has been truly great for the CBS Network where it is honoring two Great Voices and two Tv Icons: Bob Barker and Walter Cronkite. Barker is mainly known for "The Price is Right" where you know Come on Down!!!! Bob Barker truly invited and welcomed people from all walks and Backgrounds around the World. the games, the expressions and the lasting music and overall feel of the Show is timeless. Hard to Believe that Barker is gonna Retire because the Price is Right is a Tv show that truly is timeless and has been on for so long that you just can't imagine anybody else hosting the show or holding the Audience quite the way Bob Barker has.

Walter Cronkite:that's the way it is. the Man is a ground-breaker in the Journalism World. His words,phrases and expressions brought so many people together. just like Bob Barker he had a Nature about him that made him a Pressence that left a lasting impact and will never be forgotten. now there is a whole New Generation of Younger Kids who never got a chance to experience the importance of both of these Men in there Respective Worlds and Fields. One Network that has two of the Most Known Icons on Network Tv and they are both being Honored this week. Barker is retiring after 50 years on Tv. Walter Cronkite turns 90. this is a Great salute to Both Men.

ok straight up watching last night's San Antonio sprus and Phoenix Suns game
game 5 was just wrong. the Suspensions for that game and the way the series has gone against the Suns just leaves a bad taste in my mind. that whole suspension trade off just ain't fair at all. if that series doesn't go to game 7 then you can put a big Taint Sign alongside of that series.

then we have American Idol last night where the Best Singer remaining Melinda Doolittle got rail-roaded from winning. I was just shaking my head in pure dis-belief. I mean talk about things being Fixed or feeling Tainted?? I mean if Entertainment in Showbusiness or in Sports can't give you a escape then what can possible else make things seem fair?? between that game and that whole situation and then American Idol last night, i was just shaken my head going you gotta be kidding me,but it was all real sad to say.

Gas Prices keep on rising

well Gas Prices just keep on climbing and show no slow down in sight. it's interesting how transportation can make you make choices and how you will get to where you need to be with them. but what is gonna cost the least? Gas Prices just aren't gonna seem far for quite some time and it can make you have to make a choice rather sooner than later. loading up your tank will keep you reaching back into your Pocket and thensome. car Pooling is important and or Biking or riding on a city bus. every now and then gotta find ways to balance out the Hike in Prices.

Dirk Nowitzki won the NBA MVP and it felt empty

Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks became the first Maverick and first European Born Player to Win the NBA League MVP. still the way His season ended with His Mavericks being knocked out in the first round there was a empty feeling. now granted Mavericks coach Avery Johnson was on hand and Maverick's Owner Mark Cuban has always held Nowitzki in high regards,but there is some sentiment amongest sportswriters and NBA Critics that if a Re-Vote could be done then Nowitzki might not get it. He deserved the regular Season MVP because He was a Great Player during the season and the Dallas Mavericks WOn 67 Games which only a handful of teams have Won as many or more in a season.this was the first time in twenty five years that a player Won the MVP while there team didn't get too far in the post season.Moses Malone was the last Person to Win League MVP only to have his Team knocked out early. difference being that back in the day the first round was a best 2 out of 3. also while Dirk is Great for his time period, he ain't no Moses Malone who following that season of early elimination, went to Philly and captured a World's Championship Title. what happens next for Dirk will be interesting,but this year left a congradulations,but also some doubts. He didn't look too good in the playoffs this year against the Golden State warriors, after leading the Mavericks last year into the Finals and losing to the Miami Heat, which in alot of ways left Dirk with a Hang over that in alot of ways he never recovered from. next year shall be interesting for Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks.

SpiderMan made a 150 plus Million last weekend

well last weekend the offical early start of summer at the box office got off and running with SpiderMan bringing in a 150 plus Million. Hype and word of mouth along with timing can make or break a film. Movies on a whole aren't racking up at the box office through the year. now the reviews for spiderman have been mixed. but the Logo and this being the 3rd installment of the film is gonna generate the die-hards, the casual fans and also newbie fans. it all adds up and thensome. this summer will have other films battling it out for the right to brag about Box Office Dominance.tickets cost so much money and these days i can just wait till it comes out on video or get a hook up Boot-leg copy. I ain't got no shame in the game.i ain't gonna mention the retail outlet,but I actually purchased a Bootleg from this place and I was bugging out that it was there. but anyway I plan on checking out some films during the summer at the theaters. but I don't get into the Hype. i either feel it or I don't.

what a day to say thank you for. if you have a Mother,Grandmother,Aunt,Great-Grandmother,cousin or any kind of Motherly Figure in your Life that has guided your life and given every ounce of dedication to you be it your'e right or wrong then that is the ultimate. Mother's day can mean so much when you reflect on the powerful force a Mother can mean to your life. this is a Day that should be a National Holidday because what a Mother does for Her Child goes beyond the regular norm of a day. the shelter, the standard and the bridge of life. the Mother is the first eyes you encounter and the way the world will treat you in so many ways. a Mother's Love can make you feel like a Giant even if you are a small person in statue, you can feel that everything is possible.a Mother's touch and words of wisdom go so far in life. there is a foundation there which is like a Hot Meal that truly takes the Soul. now back in the day a Mother I knew on every block would tear your behind up if you acted a fool,but at the end of the day that Mother would also read the Bible and also protect and take care of you and help you understand the world and be direct,but classy. that is a Mother's touch. understand the words without having to say the exact words. that is the Power of a Mother who gives that touch which sets your whole vision and life into focus.

what to do on a weekend

what do you want to do on a weekend? is it get more rest? is it go out to dinner or a movie? how about listening to music or just chilling. renting some movies and just flipping with the remote. mind-set is truly different with the weekend and also with Day-Light savings time in full effect by the time i get home on the weekend it was later than normal. probably get some fast food and don't feel much like a meal that I would normally eat Sunday-thursday. mail comes in on the weekend and i take my time just reading it. who knows what tommorow will bring,but tommorow is saturday and I look toward having a good time this weekend.

derek Fisher:what a day last night

Utah Jazz Guard Derek Fisher was back in time for last nights game against the Golden state warriors,but only a few short hours earlier Fisher was in New York with His Wife Candace as his Daughter Tatum was fighting for her life at only 10 months Old. She had a rare form of Cancer of the Eye called Retinoblastoma and it is very rare and is Life threatening if left un-treated. Fisher a winner of 3 World Championship titles as a Member of the Los Angeless Lakers came up even bigger than ever has with dealing with a life threatening issue and then coming back to play the game last night with his Wife's permission. His Daughter has a twin Brother who was back at home in Utah. you could tell that Fisher had been through something,but He came into the game and made some good solid defensive plays along with hitting a 3 Point shot which helped the Utah Jazz Win the game in overtime. after the game members of Fisher's former team the Golden State warriors embraced Fisher and of course the Utah fans and Players acknowledged Fisher as well. this is what a Father is suppose to do and made a difference and he also told a national Audience to make sure that there children get there eyes checked because you never know. Ruby isn't a Smart Guy because you obviously don't know your history in this country by refusing Service to a Black Person. I get so tired of hearing things like this because unless a Person starts something in your business then you must serve them. so today it was reported that Paris (No Talent) Hilton is begging to avoid a 45 day jail sentence for violating her Probation. she caught a DUI and then was restricted and she got busted recently. now she is begging the Governor of california to give her a wavier to avoid having to serve any time. yeah whatever Paris. she just needs to get ready to do her Bid and be cool. You know she has Cash and a Big time name or she would be in the lock up already because the case is over. but She has until June 5th to turn herself in. it's a trip to see her out there pleading and asking for a Pass over a DUI takes the cake. maybe this will be a wake up call for her. sunday was a great day if you are a New York yankee fan. my Yankees got the One and Only Roger clemens back for this year. He is gonna make 28 million dollars and he is worth every penny. 7 time Cy Young winner a Record, a Couple of Championships,almost 350 career Pitchig victorys,over 4,500 Career strikeouts, and the list just goes on and on. all off season I was hoping he would come back to my team and there he was in the VIP Press Box with the Yankee Announcers Proclaiming his return. he is Arguably the Greatest Pitcher Ever. he truly has made a lasting impact. I tip my cap to the cat who is 23 years deep in the Big leagues and also still has Game.hopefully he can lead us back to the Promise land of a World Title. this is a Great day in Yankee Land.

somehow I saw this coming during the course of running but even this soon is a bit soon,but not shocking or surprising. to me i expect this and yes I feel this is Race related first and foremost. America simply just ain't ready and I doubt it ever will be ready for a Black President. now Hillary clinton is also under a Protection as well,but when I heard about a Black Man who happens to be running for president and he is placed under secret service protection because somebody or something made a threat,then I knew there was more to it than what was being said.2007 like any other time in this country when it comes to the White House there is that reminder of how far this country truly still has to go. no matter what anybody says when something serious comes to a Head,when it comes to Black and White the Great Divide and then the words where keeping a Boundary pops up.

NBA Playoffs are Wild this year

my Miami Heat were swept by the chicago bulls which made me sad,but the better team won. but there is a little comfort with the Golden State Warriors beating the Dallas Mavericks and sending them home. then you have the Utah Jazz beating the Houston Rockets tonight and of course the LA Lakers being sent home again in the First Round. the NBA this year in the Post Season is wild. this is the first time that the two Teams who played in the Finals the previous year are both out in the First Round. this is the first time since I've been watching NBA Playoff Basketball that Parity truly kicked in and now you don't have a clue who may win. now two teams that are always there it seems San Antonio Spurs and the Detriot Pistons are knocking on the door but the Spurs have to get by the Phoenix Suns and Current League two time MVP Steve Nash and the Pistons have the chicago bulls in there way currently. also in the other series's is Golden State versus Utah and back East you have New Jersey versus Cleveland. the NBA is getting interesting again and if more Upsets arrive then this could truly be a special year.

Cinco De mayo celebration

well today I celebrated Cinco de Mayo and it was fun. ate alot of food and enjoyed the festive ways and traditions. about 13-14 years back I went to a Cinco De Mayo party and it was a great experience. one of the best thing about going to a culture festival is not only the nice people you meet,but also the food and the overall displays showcased. so many incredible dishes and combinations that are timeless to the tummy. but this is a Feel Good Celebration and is something that you should expereince at least a few times.

Boxing and Horse Racing things of the Past?

this weekend in Boxing Oscar De Lay Hoya and Floyd Mayweather will Duke it out in the Ring. alot is at stake,but does anyone who isn't a Boxing fan care anymore? Boxing is seen as yesterday's news and almost off the map.

a few reasons: no dominant Young fighter has emerged. other sports have bigger known Atheletes. Endoresements,etc... also the last Big Name Fighter to truly capture the Imagination was Mike Tyson. since then all the main fighters have either gotten Older or just went away. the Heavyweight Division use to Rule and then the Middle Weight Division ran things for the past 20 years and then that has pretty much been it. Boxing is all but a White Towel thrown in as we speak aside from a few fights here and there.

Horse racing:the Kentucky Derby was once a big time event and a Triple Crown was a big time event. but just like Boxing while there are still some interesting events, the buzz over this particular Sporting Event ain't counted in many Years. it feels like a whole different time period when you say Boxing and Horse Racing. those two sporting events use to be Big Money and Must see. but over the years they have all but faded from view. still interesting events,but nowhere where they once were.

NBA Ref's and Racial Bias??

so a study was released that between 1991 through 2004 that White Ref's called more fouls against Black Players and that Black Ref's called more fouls against White Players. this is so lame because the League has 72 percent African-American. and where is the Proof and who are the ref's?? now if this was Baseball or a Sport where the sport was less African-American partcipants then this might actually carry some weight. if say the NBA was more White that incident with Joey Crawford and Tim Duncan might raise some eye-brows,but there may be some truth in there,but the actual finding is hard to truly Prove. now there is obvious Favortism. with SuperStars getting more calls and it also plays better for Tv Ratings,etc... but this story from the New York times is just a bad joke and a Insult to all Ref's.

Prince Harry going to war and when famous people go to War

Prince Harry is going to Iraq and it's very interesting. especially when Rich and famous go off to war. a famous face is always a target in a unwanted enviroment. still you gotta applaud Prince Harry for defending his country and ready for battle. now other Famous people have gone to Service including Joe Louis World Boxing Heavy champion and Elvis Presley Musician. there have been others,but when somebody who is truly known world-wide then it becomes a Major News item and this One truly will make eyes move. the logical Question is why do it? I mean if you are living in Royality then why fight in a War where you might not come back or you might come back differently in a way that people back home can't relate to you. but he is ready and willing to battle and more power to him at the end of the day.
