Barbaro the Horse race winning horse was laid to rest yesterday. it was sad because to see a strong animal who fought to live&wanted to race on the tracks. this Horse truly touched alot of people World-Wide. when I saw the Doctors saying how they had to put Barbaro to sleep. you could tell it was very hard on all people involved. it says so much that this Horse was more than just a Horse who Races&generated a whole lot of money for his Owners. this Horse was treated&Respected with the Highest form of Appreciation. Barbaro got the kind of Admiration&respect that alot of Adults never ever come close to feeling in a lifetime.

the current Super Bowl tickets in certain sections of the Stadium in Miami for Sunday's game cost enough to pay for Morgage,Car note,etc.... hard to believe there was a time at a Super Bowl that Onlt close to the 50 yard line tickets would be so much. but the game as the years go by just because more&more Corperate&that usually wipes out the average fan from being able to get in. the Hype usually overshadows the Actual game even if the Game is a Classic nail-biter. the Hype&endorsements mean so much money for Productivity,but the ticket Prices are there for a reason. My Aunt Lorraine use to always say that people will do anything to go to a Football game. it sure seems to be the case. even when my Buffalo Bills were going through there Super Bowl Run, I never felt compelled to put out any money to go to the game because the prices were off the wall.

it was only a few years back that the Williams sisters were totally changing the game of tennis with there Power swings.they got extra attention because they were two strong Black soul Sisters from the Hood as well&the snooby totty folks of Wimbeldon wasn't prepared for them. there Dad Richard helped guide them to be Champions. now fast forward the past days Sernia Williams Won another Major. though she is ranked in the 80's as a Tennis Player,people in the know will tell you that the Serina Ain't no Joke.as a matter of fact with a steadyness of Focus Serina could easily be the Greatest Female Player. Her skills are unmatched&She still has a whole lot of up-shot to her game. this was great seeing Her back on top of her game after quite a few folks had written her off.never count a Champion out.

now I done heard it all now. so much for a decade&change saying of "Don't Ask Don't tell". TR Knight I believe is the name of the Grey's Anatomy Co-Star who Washington Called out. Washington used the "F" term to describe Knight's sexual Orientation. now Hollywood of all places nows what is going on.ain't no mystery with how things get said. you hear Gay Slurs all the time. it doesn't make it right,but that is part of the culture&always will be. I've never heard anybody being sent to Re-hab for saying a Gay Slur. i guess if you watch&pay attention long enough then you will have seen&heard it all.we all have said things¬ saying it was right,but if you are hanging with your Boys or something you say things like stop acting so Gay. this is a serious issue from the perspective that Hollywood has alot of Gay People in the Industry&it is no big deal. but on the other hand things that you know or see you gotta keep that to yourself because nobody should be airing out anybody's personal life.

of all the things that a co-Worker could pass along to you, the almighty yearly Cold. all the Coughing, Sneezing, tissue, cough drops, Cough Medicine,and just feeling you are tired. hearing a a Co-Worker describe the same things that you got gets a well if that is the case then keep your Behind at Home. I mean just getting over fall&early Winter&then getting hit with a fresh cold daily&weekly isn't the kind of gift you want to be presented with. of course a Co-Worker could make some Food&Upset your tummy&to me messing with my tummy is even more serious than catching a Cold,though they aren't that far off.sleepless nights&alot of tossing&turning all through the night.Don't worry I don't believe in returning the favor.

i don't like how the Media Portrays Black People

I've never liked how if I watch a Sports show&they have non-Black commentators taking shots at a Black Atlete or in Entertainment where the commentators are saying any&everything but there is no counter to balance things out. things like that really get to me because I ask out-loud where is the balance? I say this because it happens time&time again. no matter what the subject or topic there is no balance to counter. the News only wants to Portray the same ole things. even when a story is Good they still don't seem to be happy: take for Instance Lovie Smith the chicago bears coach&also tony dungy the Indianpolis colts coach who are the first two Black Head Coaches to make it to the Super Bowl. the Media is pounding on the fact that they aren't barkers on the sideline. that they are Friends&Respect one another.the Media would love it if they were Grumpy soul Brothers. I never said that Black People hadn't done anything wrong,but at the same time there should be voices to represent because to me Only Black People can truly give a Balance opinion on subjects that Pretain to African-Americans. I don't care how that is taken because the Media hasn't showed any fair balance whatsoever over the years&I doubt it will ever truly change.

today was the day that Oscar Nominations went out,but what do they actually mean in the big picture? Winning a Oscar is nice,but most people only remember what somebody wore or said. the actual Award is sorta forgotten. also if you are Winning at the Box Office then a Statue suddenly doesn't mean a whole lot. a Statue was lead to be thought of to mean a Lifetime of Success,but to whom? the Best Person in a Film doesn't always win. it happens with Directors. it happens in all aspects of the Process. but why is this Award show seen as something so special? the choice is simple:would you rather make 20 plus million also get some of the ticket gate as well or take home a Statue&maybe not even hit again? Guys like Denzel Washington&Tom Hanks are the Exception who have had Big Box Office&also been Multi Oscar Winners. every year is a New story at the oscars,but how many people still remember who has won both a Oscar&at the Box Office? what matters most.

well tonight Both the Chicago Bears&Indianapolis colts Advanced to play in Super Bowl 41 which will be played in Miami in two weeks. this is the first time that two Black Head Coaches will be guiding teams into the Big show. this to me is long overdue&also to me shows just how Racist the NFL has been. it's sad that it took until 2007 to make this happening. I would like to think this is the dawn of a New Era in the NFL where Black Head coaches will be the Rule as to the every now&then. both of these Men have overcome long Odds&have made the Impossible a Reality. the only thing sad about this is that there is gonna be Only One Man&Team Holding the Winning Trophy. but in the Bigger Picture Both Men are Winners&have forever changed the game, lets hope the NFL will be more Progressive in terms of Hiring More Black Head NFL Coaches along with filling up General Manager spots&Ownership. College football needs to Hire More Black Coaches as well. right now there are More Players than there are Black Men calling the shots&it's time to change that Picture. but Today is a Golden day.

now this is based on a true story that is a reality for all time. if you are a Dude you have bound to been hit by that sight of a Lovely Lady that just leaves you speechless&Motionless. these Album Sales are Horrible

oh the days when a Album would sell high into the Hundreds of thousands seems like a long time ago these days. recently on the Billboard charts the soundtrack to the film "DreamGirls" was the Number 1 Album in the land but with less than 60,000 copies sold. for all the Hype&Hoopla that Beyonce gets along with having Her own Album in the top ten at this time, there isn't enough Interest to generate any real buzz. in this day&age of Ring tones, ring Savers, file-sharing, and songs used for commericals,etc... the impact of taken a whole album Home seems like a Lost moment. as a Person who always keeps up with the sales&listens to Top 40 Music weekly these Numbers are down right Bad.the fans are saying this mess has gots to go. in truth the Industry to Me doesn't respect the Consumer enough because the overall quality is seriously lacking. who cares about a Award show when the acts themselves know it is all a Bunch of Jive.

now while American Idol is on a Journey to crown the Next big time winner, the show is also becoming sorta like a Modern day version of Jerry Springer. Simon Crowell takes part in bashing folks on there appearence from head to toe&then of course if they stink vocally then that is the icing on the cake. American Idol is considered harsh in some places with a firm snobby attitude that is felt throughout the show,but at the same time those attitudes reflect a certain segement of the Population that mocks people who don't look or act like them. Idol is very corperate in so many ways.they like to re-make you&then re-package what you are about.I wouldn't be surprised if there is a American Idol episode where there is a fight or stuff gets thrown around. now there is alot of Humor within Idol,but there is also a dark side that isn't that inclusive to everybody&you can pick up when they dig someone&when they Don't.

last week in Tacoma,Washington a Black 9 year old Boy was able to talk himself onto a Airplane trip all the way to Texas. I think that this Kid might be able to be a good politican or do some serious door to door selling Product. how does a Kid get to board a Airplane without a Pass&Just using a Name that was at the desk counter without any form of ID or Proof of purchase of a ticket? I thought I had heard it all but this was a New one. to start off his Journey he had stolen a car. the story goes that he wanted out of His neighborhood because a Sex Offender was said to be moving into the area. now the Boy's Mother is gonna fly to Texas&re-unite with her son. who knows how this story will turn out,but One thing is for sure, if this Kid was having a seminar at how to make the Impossible a Reality in a Matter of minutes then I'd say get yourself a seat.

Two Black Head Coaches in the Championship games sunday

this coming Sunday Two Black Head Football coaches are squaring up in there Conference Championship games. Tony Dungy the coach of the Indianapolis colts goes against the New England Patriots. in the NFC Lovie Smith the Chicago Bears Head Coach leads his Team against the New Orleans saints. History might be made if Either Dungy or Smith or even Both end up going to the Super Bowl. there has never been a Black head Coach go all the way to the Super Bowl which is a Sad fact&another example of the Good Ole Boy System of the NFL. Race always matters&while there are alot of Black Players on the Field we still have a long ways to go before we see leadership with coaching, General Management&Ownership. but this is Great to see. it's long overdue&hopefully there will come a day when it won't matter,but I don't see that day coming anytime soon. nevertheless Tony Dungy&Lovie Smith are Great Coaches&it's great to see two Soul Brothers doing so well.

today I hear that Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner would like to become a parent again at age 80. now as a Man you are never to Old to Be a Father,but then again at age 80 if you are Blessed to still be Alive, becoming a Father isn't what you hear most 80 year old men mention. now as a Grandfather or Great-Grandfather or a GodFather,but entering Fatherhood at age 80 seems real late in life. alot of People are having Kids later on in Life,but Late might be mid to late 40's but not on the other side of 40. Tax Return time

well somewhere starting either on January 15th or there after Tax Return time. another 12 months&it's time to see what will be on the Return. this time of the year is a time to reflect on what will be in the return. Tax Time is never fun except when you are getting something back. always thinking of the many things to Buy. makes you feel like a Game contestant on a Game show on Tv when you go shopping&day-dreaming of the things you want to get. even though you know where your money goes there still is a uncertainity about where all of the Money actually goes? but it is so nice when all things are talled up&there is a nice Return. just holding that check&thinking about that whole year of work&adding all the with-holdings,etc... Tax time is taxing on the mind.

Snow:what do you do?

well it's truly Winter with the Cold Air&More Snow all over the place. I just ain't never gotten into this time of the year. yeah it's one thing when it happens on Christmas Eve&also Christmas Day but after that I want it to all go away. it means for slick roads&walks. not a Comfortable feeling at all. this is the Price to pay for a Wonderful Summer. back during the Summer enjoying all the Warmth,Sunshine,etc... but in the back of my mind I knew we would pay during the Winter. right about now I'd taken a few more bad weather days in the Summer than this latest mess. it seems the snow won't let up. I don't mind seeing it on a PostCard or on tv,but I don't like seeing so much of it so up-close.

Simon, Paula&Randy all Return. the contestants who try out for Idol are always so funny. another year to Reflect on Dr King&His dream Speeches&Messages. every Year it's time to reflect how far we have come&still how far we need to go in order to have some sort of Racial harmony. Dr. King would not be pleased with the Entertainment Industry pushing the "N" Word openly. he wouldn't be pleased with this War in Iraq. He wouldn't be pleased at how People in New Orleans got Ignored during "Katrina". He would be pleased with more chances at a better life for Black Folks in America. there have been strives. but the Bigger picture is having a full chance. we still have Black Firsts in the 21rst Century which is a Shame. there has to be a Balance of Coming together as a People to fully represent what Dr.King Stood for. I want to always give a Strong Shout Out to Brother Stevie Wonder for pushing for the National Holiday that came to be&that is the celbration of Dr.Martin Luther King. also a Strong Shout out to the Late&Great Coretta Scott King.she was a strong Lady who had a strong voice that Brought about a change.

Florida Beat up on Ohio State 41-14&Shut up a whole bunch of people who didn't see this coming. Ohio State didn't see those Florida Oranges loading up on them. this Bowl Season has been interesting with Un-Beaten Bosie State beating Oklahoma in a Classic 43-42 Thriller. USC my Michigan Woolverines last Monday Night. the BSC got lucky another year without a Playoff system because the two best teams ended up in the National Title. but the way FLorida Spanked up on Ohio State there is bound to even be some controversy there when it is all said&done. what will happen next year in College football? who cares because the games are always Fun except when the computers decide the fates of Teams.

My cousin had a Baby this weekend

My cousin along with Her Husband welcomed a Son into the world. there is something so special&extra wonderful upon hearing that a Family member is a Parent. it is the kind of news that feels so close&dear to me. My Cousin is a Great Human Being. Very Intelligent,Vibrant&Full of Life. she will be a Wonderful Parent I truly feel. there is nothing like seeing firs hand a Baby being born before your eyes. it truly captures your imagination unlike anything else you can imagine. Congradulations to Her&Family. it is truly a Blessed time&Event. Her Birthday is also in a Few days.what a wonderful Gift& Great Blessing.

NFL Playoffs start this weekend

well there is noting like the NFl Post-season. you never quite know what to expect. Football is already the Best sport going in the United states to me because even when two weak teams play there is still more excitement to it than watching Major League Baseball or the NBA. I can tolerate far more with the NFL than any of the Other Major sports. so this weekend will be the start to the road for a new Super Bowl champion since the Pittsburgh Steelers got Eliminated a week ago along with there coach Bill Cowler taken a leave for maybe a Year or so to be with his family. so this year shall Proclaim a New Champion.there is always one play that changes the game. already in the Dallas-Seattle Game the Tony Romo Miscue also the Kansas City-Indianpolis Game where the KC Kicker missed that Field Goal after a Interception. so every play counts,but there is always that play where you see the whole tide changing. I'm clued to the Tv&Can't wait.

New year's Resolutions

what exactly is a New year's Resolution? also when you reach your goal or certain mark what will it mean when you have accomplished it&what do you do with the rest of your time? funny how this is always planned every New year's eve. you go from Christmas thanking of what you want or hope to give to someone to planning what a Goal or Goals are set or hoped to be reached in the following new year. then about a week into the year the ideas kinda goes on down. so we plan a few things that we hope in 365 days to accomplish that we drag for a whole year. the new year always has so many things to reach for&yet there is nothing like it putting it off for a whole new year.

RIP To Darrent Williams

it was so sad to hear about the Denver Broncos Cornerback Killed on Early Morning of New years day outside a club. His teammate Wide Reciever Javon Walker was holding his bloody body. Darrent Williams was only 24 years old. it's sad to hear a story of another Young Black Man dying way before his time. this was just senseless. He was headed to His Limo when His Ride was approached&He sadly got capped. Williams&the Denver Broncos less than 24 hours ago were Elminated from the Post-season. prayers go out to his family,friends&Fans. this is truly sad news to hear.the sad part&truth is that there are Young Black Males like Darrent Williams all across the nation who sad to say there storys aren't ever mentioned on the News.

i enjoyed Kwanzaa

it was another great year to celebrate Kwanzaa. December 26th through january 1 rst is the African-American Holiday celebration known as Kwanzaa. seven days of given&sharing. a new gift everyday&sharing storys with family, friends about the Past,Present&the future.it's always wonderful to hear&see other African-American people celebrating this particular time of the year.this was a great past week in reflecting on past times&celebrations.

New Years Day

the good luck food that starts off New Years Day every year. the Bowl Games that start to make all those college football Bowl Games count. the partying&the happening events from coast to coast&all around the world. the day after. the actual new years day goes by pretty fast&a different vibe all together than the night before on New years Eve. funny how 24 hours can make such a drastic difference,but you just don't party on New years day quite like how you get hyped for New Year's eve. sports is always interesting on these particular days. you always hope&pray that there is nobody that is driving drunk or causing any problems,etc.... so we are in a New year&the events of the next weeks, days,nights months seasons,etc.... should make 2007 a real interesting year.
