Terrell Owens: another story overblown

so like other sports fans today I heard about T.O. I didn't believe the Suicide story at all. T.O.'s Publicist(that Lady is a Foxxy Mamma) said that T.O. had been taken pain killers&other pills that got mixed together&He got set off.allergic reaction came about. He was taken to the Hospital. T.O. had his press conference&gave his side of the story which I believe. this should have never leaked out at all. it's gotten way overblown&stated. if T.O. wasn't as Talented of a Football Player as he is then there wouldn't have been this kind of coverage. also there is a racial undertone at work here. T.O. is treated as a Villian by some folks which I don't get at all. show me a superstar athelte who doesn't want the limelight&doesn't want to get there Money,Respect,etc....??? I've always dug T.O.&Respect what he does on the field&I don't get caught up on anybody's sideshow. hopefull this story will come to pass.

Superdome tonight brings back Football to New Orleans&More

tonight was not only the first Pro Football game in the SuperDome in 13 months since Hurricane Katrina,but also quite a few people turned out for the game.the Superdome was a Shelter over a year ago during Katrina. the City of New Orleans is gonna take a while before it regains it's full being again,but tonight was a start in the right direction. this Football Game meant a great deal to the city of New Orleans.it was a moment of coming home tonight. more needs&has to be done in order in the coming years to re-built New Orleans. tonights game had New Orleans versus Atlanta which the Saints Won fairly easily. the victory tonight was bigger than the game. it's a Win for the City. I hope the game tonight doesn't mis-lead people into thinking that New Orleans is back fully. people need to see&understand the Impact of what has happen.i hope that the Original souls&foundation of New Orleans are able to claim what is there's&also to have a say&be taken care of fully&the right way.

Fall/Autumn is upon us

I don't really get excited about Post Summer for the simple fact that it means Night light is extra shorter,though he fact of wearing sweaters&longer clothing are cool to rock. there is a plus&minus to it. there may be also truth in that it also reminds me of going back to school. the leaves also meant doing alot of yard work. oh those leaves never stop coming down from the trees. the winds blow&you feel the change in the air. but Fall also meant a whole new Tv Season,Movies,Music,etc... then there is also DayLight savings time which is around the corner.I still dig Summer&Spring more overall,but I get use to the various seasons.

Tiger woods dealing with the hate of the Media

the media in Ireland has taken pictures of Tiger Wood's wife&placed them on somebody else's body&sold it as her as a Spoof. Tiger wants to get at them&I don't blame him. I knew sooner rather than later that some journalist or more was gonna try to get at Tiger on the personal because they don't like the fact that he is the best Golf player in the World&they sure don't like the fact that this Black Man has a Blonde White Wife&they want to make a smear campaign. this is personal. I hope Tiger sues them&leaves a lasting message that this type of hate is not gonna be ignored. I know what this is all about. this is a Bashing of the Man&his personal life. after all he has been through this year with his Father&for some journalists to do this, is complete garbage.

Pete Rose:Apology on Baseball's let him in the Hall

I persoanlly feel that Pete Rose should have long ago been elected into Baseball's Hall of Fame. now He has baseball's signed with I Apology for betting on baseball. I think it's cool he is taken responsibility for betting on the game.but the Man should be a Hall of Famer years&years ago to me. His Numbers speak for itself. Pete Rose is still a front page name.everybody has a take with him.now alot of those cats in the Hall of Fame got some issues.to me it's what you do on the field that matters.the other stuff is totally different.

it's over for Whitney&Bobby

so it looks like it's offically over for Whitney Houston&Bobby Brown. i knew something was strange when I got my new Vibe Magazine in the Mail&Bobby Brown was on the Cover. if this was 86-89 or 92-93 that wouldn't surprise me much because Bobby was happening back then either with New Edition or as a Solo Artist. but anything with Bobby on a cover past 96 will make you do a triple take. so it all added up hearing that Whitney Houston not only got a seperation but also was filing for Divorce. it's expected that Whitney is attempting to make a Comeback. Bobby might even try something who knows? but talk about a 14 year Union that publicly had all the makings of two folks who seemed all the makings of a Train-wreck&then actually making it work this long almost makes it sad that they are breaking up. who knows how it will all turn out,but let them both be blessed.all relationships are challenging&even more so in that Jungle known as the Entertainment Business.

Michigan beat Notre Dame

oh this was a great saturday. Michigan is my favorite College Football team&we had to go into Notre Dame&the Woolverines did it up in a big way. beat them up 47-21. that was a wonderful victory. Michigan hasn't been in the mix for some years now,but this Win just might be the turning point. it felt good today,beating them in there own backyard.

Back To School

it's that time of the year, new Clothes, some Bling, New Ring Tones, new cell Phone, new designer threads,etc... oh I was talking about the Parents. we ain't even got to the Kids yet. so much Parking Lot Showing off it's almost like a Church on some sunday Mornings where folks put on a fashion show&forget all about the real reason they are where they are suppose to be. but back to the Books, Back-packs, lockers, that school building smell, the Lunch Food, right about now you are going Yummy, Yummy,. then you have the usual groups in school the Jocks, the Creative Free Spirits, the Nerds, then the people trying to get in where they fit in.school itself is a gang of many things. the names,&Faces change but school is still the same no matter where you are. be it as a student or as a Parent,etc.... it's the same ole song&the Bell has rung back School is back in session.

Remembering 9-11-01

it's a week away,but I feel I want to reflect on it now because the rewind of that particular day for me 5 years ago was so overwhelming. it felt like the end of the world was at hand. claling friends all over the country&just trying to grasp at what I had just saw on Tv was so mind-blowing. even 5 years later it still feels like I saw this all go down only 5 minutes ago. My Heart goes out to the families&People who lost love ones&all the People who fought with the terrioists on the airplanes,etc... for a while there was a feeling of uniting. it's always sad when it takes tragic means to make people respect one another. the news coverage on that particular tuesday evening had me fully captured. our local mall was closed&there was a silence over people. it had truly grabbed people's full attention. what will become of how we view what happen 5 years back? what do you tell your children? what do you tell yourself? a reality in any town, city Usa is what the message said o me then&still now. we have to stay alert,but we can never forget the event that happen 5 years back. let us never forget.

2Pac's Death 10 years later

Arguably the Biggest Icon in Rap Music History Tupac Shakur is coming up n the 10 year anniversary of his death. he passed away way too soon at the age of 26. he was shot in Las Vegas&then died a few days later. the Man was a Artist,Actor&he divided people into so many thoughts&views. He was born into the Black Panther party. His Mother was a Member. 2Pac had all of the Great Contradictions that so many Great&Influential people over the years have had. he battled demons&was so many things to so many different people. he bridged racial gaps. to this day you see&hear clones of his stylings. you see record companys who profited greatly off his name, though he died in debt. he is thought of more highly in death than in life in many ways it seems. in some ways he is the Elvis Presley of Hip-Hop. His Life was Larger than life on so many ways. His Poetry still hits so many souls. he had a rawness that explored so many matters,but yet he had a Accessibility that transcended so many territorys that still gets a rise out of alot of souls as we speak now. He was a Man who reflected on a time period in life&spoke of the nature&Conditions around him&what he envisioned. RIP Brother, gone but not ever forgoten.

Kyra Phillips CNN Anchor with the Mike on

in truth I wasn't mad at Kyra Phillips for having her mike on when George Bush was giving his speech on the 1 year anniversary about Hurricane katrina. alot of people over the years be it at a concert or news reporting have had there Mike's on&you have heard some intersting choice of words. some things real colorful here&there. George Bush wasn't saying anything important to me anyway,because a year ago he should have done more with the victims&Casualitys of Hurrican Katrina down in New Orleans then sit&wait around for nearly 5 days before he got off his behind to acknowledge the tragedy of the event. so Kyra Phillips to me was far more interesting hearing her in the restroom talking to a lady about her life&Business than what this Joke was talking about in a speech. Kyra Phillips spoke highly of her husband,but dissed alot of Men in general,but it was entertaining how she worded things. George Bush can't say nothing of interest to me in a situation that should have been prevented&more should&still needs to be done. a Open Mike was far more interesting than the Main Mike that was turned on.

so the MTV Award show Sucked

what else is new? I mean having Jack Black as a Host is the signal right there. hyping up Justin Timberlake is another signal&then you have at least 5-10 acts that are boring. they didn't give out awards to some of the usual suspects but they might as well have because the show never got off the ground fully to me. there are only a handful of people that can set a match to get that show going. MTV is as safe&Fake as alot of things in Hollywood so this kind of show shouldn't come as any kind of surprise whatsoever. Music today is mainyl used as a side show these days for artists anyway. selling a Ring tone&other gadgets sell the Music than the actual Music or the Artist themselves. it shows ten fold when people stay away in droves from the record store.

it's September

the end of summer almost. the weather is still warm,but the night is coming on quicker. hearing Earth,wind&Fire's "September" is the yearly song I blast at the start of September. you smell&Feel the end of Summer. School is starting back up. Jerry Lewis's Telethon is coming up on labor Day weekend. so much happens this month. Football season regular season finally comes back. there is something about September that you just know is here. September still feels the same no matter where you are in your life.
