I wish I had have known this 20 plus years back when I had to study for my 8th grade Science test on the planets. this one night in June I was studying so hard to make sure I knew all of the nine planets by heart. now to hear that Pluto doesn't even count is truly a sad day&I bet cash money that my former Science teacher is bugging out,but at the end of the day taking it all in stride. you remember things like this because if you had a teacher as mine who told you that you need to pass this test or else then how are you gonna forget any of those planets? but now it was eight,but it's way too late now to go back in time. but i think back to that movie that Eddie Murphy made called "Pluto Nash" that Bombed at the Box office&I guess there had to be a sign huh? that Movie went "Wood"&so now has Pluto.

John Mark Karr the new Lee Harvey Oswald??

John Mark Karr ain't gotta worry about the Jon Benet Ramsey case because His DNA doesn't match. I didn't feel this case was gonna be strong anyway for quite a few reasons. first of all a White Rich Family ain't gonna have to wait no 10 years to solve a case. Money talks. I still say the real person behind the crime is within that household. nothing adds up with this case at all. now John Karr got his issues&I hear that in california they are gonna charge him with something,but for him to be dragged across the world&there not to be a case is a waste of tax payers time&Money. Colorado is looking badly. the Kobe Bryant case didn't have enough of a case either&this is the next in line. to me I felt that John Karr was becoming the New Lee Harvey Oswald just a cat who lookd vulnerable&suspect enough to get nabbed,but the actual Guilt was a whole different matter. who knows what will happen in the Benet Case. but they got egg on there face for going after the wrong guy. rush to judgement without the facts to have a real case.

Survivor the show racially seperating the cast

should I really shocked that a show on CBS is Seperating people racially? I mean that network ain't exactly putting a whole lot of black shows on tv&Other miniority based shows. anyway Survivior has been on the air for a long time&there track record with minioritys on the show is spotty at best. so seperating people based on race is a biggie for some,but for me it doesn't surprise me at all. America itself is racially divided in so many ways still so this doesn't shock me,except that TV is a Land of Fantasy that is suppose to take you away from reality. can a Major Network&a Top Rated sow pull a Jim Crow route in 2006? you bet your bottom dollar. most of these networks hardly have that many black cast members as it is. most of the Black shows that are green-lighted are for Comedy. so this is just another form of control. I'm surprised other shows haven't done this based on what i see on Network tv in 2006.

why did Paramount Pictures fire Tom Cruise??

talk about a shocker? lets cut to the chase Tom Crusie&His Religous Beliefs is why Paramount pictures cut ties with Cruise. a behavior pattern of him expressing himself is what they are holding against him. now this is a Man no matter where you come down on him as a Actor has delievered for almost 25 years. Tom Cruise got the kind of track record that it would take a hollywood script to make believable. put it like this: even his flop movies go a 100 million at the box office. he tripped alot of people out with his jumping on Oprah Winfrey's show&also telling different people who interviewed him his thoughts&Feelings on issues. what did he do wrong again? I mean if you watch one of those 20 hour Oscar shows(those shows feel like they are never gonna end) somebody has some sort of a agenda going on. i bet cash Money that Tom Cruise will come back from this.

Spike Lee's Documentary on New Orleans very powerful

Props to Spike Lee for bringing this Documentary about Hurricane Katrina one year later is a very important must watch event on HBO. it shows the people&the fight for surivival on a daily bases. New Orleans looked like a third world Country with all the damage&everything that happen. the reflections from there didn't put George Bush in a good light at all. this was a Natural Disaster that comes across very Racist&Wrong on so many levels. the name of the Show is called When the Levees Broke:Requiem. it comes in two parts. this was a Scary event to watch. so much more we haven't fully seen. things needed to be said&had to be said. it was wrong&unjust.this is a reminder that should never be forgotten ever.I ain't Politically correct&I still say if this was Beverly Hills this would not ever have happen.

RIP TO Mike Dougless

what a great tv talk show host Mike Dougless was? He paved the way for alot of folks including Oprh Winfrey. His shows had so many folks of all walks&backgrounds. back in the day the talk show was very important. the talk show host could make or break a certain act. those were the days when it mattered so much. yes talk shows still carry alot of weight,but back when Mike Dougless was on tv we didn't have blogs, computers,Cell Phones to download clips,Tivo,etc... so a talk show such as Mike Dougless was a must see. He had a wide range of talent on his show. the way tv has become over time for all the technilogy a show Mike Dougless did more with bringing people together than what is going on now to me. RIP

Snakes on a Plane not enough bite

alot of hype but this film didn't bring in a whole lot. in truth most of these films out for the summer are stinkers&add this one to the pile. yeah Sam Jackson is the Coolest Cat in Hollywood,but he can't even sell this film to match the hype. I mean the thought on going on a Airplane&Worrying about Snakes ain't exactly a Attractive invitation. this Film got a chance at cult status,but on the real this film is all teeth&no Bite like alot of what gets pushed as the "IN" thing to see or watch. 15.5 Million at the box office to debut at Number 1 is peanuts for a Movie with all this hype. but since Snakes cost 30 million to make they are gonna make a profit. interesting how this film got more buzz than Oliver Stone's "9/11 film.but then again reality ain't seen as much fun,but yet a suspense is interesting. that is twisted with me saying that,but then again Snakes on a Plane was the Number 1 film in the Nation this week.

well it's been over 2& a Half years since Nipplegate at the super Bowl. Janet Jackson&Justin Timberlake have new projects slated for release next month. Timberlake is finally speaking out on the Infamous incident that is still talked about to this day. it didn't effect Timberlake at all. I still say that if Usher had have been up on stage tugging at Britney Spears that he would have been dealt with on the spot. Janet Jackson knew what was up. She had a New album coming out,but at that time Her Brother Michael was facing charges along with Her Last Name Being Jackson&also being a Black Woman which Timberlake mentioned recently in a Interview at the world's preception of Race,&other things coming together. there careers at different waves these days. Janet Jackson is celebrating the 20nth Anniversary of Her Break out Album"Control" but there have been claims on her part that MTV isn't playing her video enough. the story goes they want her to speak on the Super Bowl&She hasn't. but MTV has been Playing Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" non-stop. as of this writing Timberlake's on a High&Jackson is on the Ropes&Needs a Hit badly. intersting how the two Careers are going these days&how Janet Jackson caught more flack&Fallout from the Incident then Timberlake. but even more telling will be how Audiences buy there music a Month from now.

a New Yankee Stadium is being built to open in 2009

as a New York Yankee fan this is some incredible news. so many great memorys in Yankee staidum&now the new close to 1 billion dollar ball park set to open in 2009 will usher in a new era of New York Yankees baseball. names like Babe Ruth, Lou Gering, Yoggi Berra,Joe Dimaggio, Mickey Mantile, Reggie Jackson,Ron Guidry,Thurman Munson,Derek Jeter, Mariano Riveria have all made there legacy in the Pinstripes. all of the Great managers&Owners who have made there legacy in Yankee Stadium. so many great memorys. Yankee Staidum has it's own Hall of Wall&so many historic events on that field. but in 3 years a whole new era shall arrive.

chicken noodle soup dance craze

so i finally got to see the Chicken Noodle Soup Dance Craze that is going on right now in parts of New York&Along the east coast. remember back in the day when a new dance step would drop&folks got hyped? this dance is alright,nothing that blows me away,but there are some cool moves if done the right way,but then again ain't that always the case when you are learning a new move or step? not everybody in parts of new york like the dance which is always the case with the latest anything&like other trends of dancing,etc... things come&go&get old so there will be a whole new dance in a matter of minutes, still it's cool to see something going down in the streets.

a suspect in the Jon Benet Ramsey Case

who saw this coming? this case been going on for well over a decade&let's be real quite a few folks thought the parents were responsible for Jon Benet's un-timely death. sad that her mother passed way too young herself only in her 40's&never to see the Suspect finally caught. what do people say to Mr.Ramsey after so many people thought the worst of the Man all of these years? this was a sad story from the get go&even so mysterious considering of how things played out. hopefully this is the end of the case,but the Memory of Jon benet Ramsey should never be forgotten&also the fact that Her Mother died with so many people suspecting her of foul play.

one Year later:Hurricane Katrina

One year later we reflect on the Natural Disaster that hit New Orleans&Missippi really bad. New Orleans took a big time hit. it was a sad Commentary when the President of the United States took his Sweet time with coming on down to the Big easy when you consider that he was a former Governor of Texas&Texas ain't that far from Lousiana. Spike Lee is doing a Documentary on the effects&reflections of New Orleans One year later. the Documentary will air on HBO later this month. New Orleans was divided Racially through the Media. when White people were shown trying to get shelter&things they were called Survivors. when Black People did the same thing they were called Looters,thugs,etc... even in a Crisis the Media makes it racially a Negative. it's good to see the People of New Orleans trying to get back to life as well as they can considering the conditions. it's gonna be quite a while. the New orleans Superdome will have football games this year amongest other events. it's gonna take time&what happen a Year ago should never be forgotten. it's scary when a City of People are left to defend for themselves without any shelter or Protection. that is still the most scaryiest thing that i have seen in America. I hope it's the last time it happens. prayers always go the city of New Orleans&to the People who lost love ones&still deal with the effects of Human,Property,etc... Loss.so many voices that need to be heard.

I can't stand to hear past greats talking shop about how if they knew so&so was gonna come along that they would have done more to Win or this or that. it makes a Past Great Athlete seem needy for attention or just bitter that they are no longer getting any attention in the limelight. Jack Nicklaus was quoted as saying that had he known about Tiger Woods that he would have won more majors as if Nicklaus could see into the Future? you have to show respect. now from the past to the present. Nicklaus was Bad back in the day,but it's Tiger's time to shine.

hard to beleive only 4 years back that Maurice Clarett was helping lead Ohio State to a National Title&Now 4 years later he is looking at some real time for his latest weapons,Drugs&other items found on a high way chase where he ended up being mased. as if things couldn't get any worse for Maurice Clarett because he already has a Court date for this month on a stick up attempt back in January. when you see a Young Cat lose so much way so soon it truly is sad. you wonder where it all went wrong? don't know what his fate will be,but you hope that things will shed some light on the Man. this is truly sad on so many levels.

can you be a Modern Day Athlete without any cloud of suspicion? now to me the whole argument about steriods is overrated because you still have to have a skill to Compete. these sports writers write like all you have to do is inject yourself&Suddenly you get bigger&Stronger&you win. it's not quite that way. the interesting thing about Floyd Landis is that he is a real normal size looking Dude. so the steriods that are suppose to make you bigger&larger than life do not apply here where Landis concearned. Gatlin is fast runner&now everything that he has accomplished can almost be taken away as with Landis. I don't think Professional Sports has ever been quote unquote Clean.with all the money&the win at all cost mentality what do you expect on some levels? that's not saying everybody got down with a whatever it takes mentality,but Kids that play Ball from High School all the way to the Pros know that Winning at all costs comes with the territory. it's a cold business&even colder results.
