Monique the Comedian,Actress was on United Airlines&got disprespected by the stewardess&Other People who worked on the plane for the airlines. hearing about the Airlines being Racist doesn't shock me at all. I expect things like this on the real. Monique ain't accepting a Apology&I don't blame her. these Airlines act like Black folks ain't worthy of being in first class or something. it's very important that somebody speaks out on the same ole treatment that is a daily occurance.some people think this doesn't happen still&Especially when it concearns Known or Rich Black Folks. but Newsflash be it being Black Rich, Middle Class or Poor it happens to Us All. Props to Monique for standing her ground because it needs to be known&yes in 2006 things of this Magnitude still continue to happen. sad but true.

August is finally here

talk about time flying? we are now into August. the weather is still quite warm all over the nation. August is always a month that just flys by. Summer never ceases to amaze me as it just goes by in a breeze. August means that Football is fast approaching as well.I can't wait. this month has alot of meaning to me.two special Lady's in my life celebrate birthdays this month,on the other hand I lost both my Grandfather's during the month of August. so this Month has always left a lasting impression.

MTV turns 25 years old&it use to be a real happening network until they turned it into a Network that was everything but about the music. I remember enjoying there videos a whole bumch back in the day,but also cringing at how racist they truly were. Michael Jackson who to me is the M of that Network single-handly made them acknowledge Black Artists on that Network in a big way. later MTV jumped on Rap. Yo! MTV Raps Was huge on that network. over the years Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna,Herbie Hancock , Duran,duran,Tina Turner,etc.... made lasting impressions through there video work on the network. the Video Awards, the Moon Man Award, the various Interviewers who have worked there to TRL&The Whole Carson Daily Era. MTV was a way of Life for many people over the past 25 years.i haven't agreed with quite a few of there choices over the years,but there is no denying there Cultral Impact&there Icon Status.

Buck O'Neil is 94 years Young&still recently was up at the plate batting in a game. He is one of the legends from the Negro League.this weekend many players from the Negro League are going into Baseball's Hall of Fame, Sadly Buck O'neil isn't one of them. he deserves his place for not only as a Player but also as a Man who pushed the importance&the greatness of that League&time period when Segregation was allowed&Black Baseball players weren't allowed to Play Pro Ball until 1947 when Jackie Robinson broke the color Line&then some months later in the American League Larry Dolby did the same.Buck O'Neil is a Remarkable Man&speaks very direct about the game of Baseball&also Life. very Knowledageable&a man who has made a huge impact on&off the field. it's very important that people understand the importance of the Negro league. it's only been almost 60 years since Jackie Robinson broke the line.

i don't blame Reggie Bush for wanting all the money

Reggie Bush may or maynot hold out this season with the New Orleans Saints. as a Player he has to get all that he can get because oyu just don't have that much time. everybody knows that as a Hesiman trophy winner that he should command more. He should have been the Number draft choice arguably. now he is in a interesting situation because with everything that happen in New Orleans with Hurrican Katrina if he sits out then some folks will say he is greedy,selfish&the typical modern day Athlete,but I believe you must get all you can get. He has a 5 million dollar endoresemnt deal regardless.He was something else in college,but the Pros is a whole different beast. we shall see how all of this plays out. the Saints Football Owner Tom "Boogie" benson is known for being cheap with paying players&Handling business. we shall see how this all plays itself out.

i mean yes nowadays you can E-mail a place or show which you have a Displeasure with,but have you ever wanted to just shout at the folks on the tv when they said something that you felt was loaded or offensive? most of these sports shows are beyond extremes of saying whatever&anything to just sell what they want. they are harping on the Negativity&the Controversy. there is no balance in there so-called brand of journalism.
or these Music shows where they have some air-head Acts who ain't got no business being on tv. we all have opinions on matters&strong feelings. funny how what is allowed&what is controled.more entertainment&yet so few other voices being heard through these Channels.

when you think of a Song during the Summer do you feel it has to say that it reflects June,July,August&September? does it have to say that the days are Hot&the sky is Blue? what makes you think of a Song for Summer? do you need it all spelled out to you? reason why I ask is because here we are late in July 2006 Summer&Still not one song truly has been the song of the Summer. nothing has spoken to me&made me feel like it is Summer. yeah there are cuts that I grooved to in months gone by,but nothing has said that it is truly summertime&catch those hot rays from the sky.

He also has to get tough. he has a soft tag labeled at him&He has to step up. but His Numbers&Yearly Production doesn't lie. the Man deserves better. alot of teams who have MVP's from years gone by still acknowledge there players.I know people pay good money&deserve the best,but there also has to be a Happy Medium.

so Summer has truly hit it's peak. you know if you get out like myself&Play Pick up Basketball, Football,etc.. games then building a good sweat doesn't take alot of time. you are trying to keep cool,but you are also enjoying the warmth of the summer. Summer time means lots of water&just liquids to keep your body cool. I love the beauty of the sun&the smell it brings. there is nothing like the Summer. I like to run down the Ice Cream truck.

today was a great day in the world of sports. first in france Floyd Landis won the tour de france. His Biking just got strogner&stronger when it looked like he wasn't gonna be near the top. this is the first year in almost a decade without Lance Armstrong. Floyd Landis his ownself is quite remarkable when you consider he can hardle walk, has a Bad hip, but he showed the heart of a champion today. Congradualtions to him.


Tiger Woods won the British Open title which is now his 11nth Major title. the Man is the Best Golfer that I have ever seen period. this was his first major win since he lost his father. he was feeling so much emotion during the final stretch. it's quite impressive to see two Atheletes Win with so much pressure on a grand Scale. Congradulations.

I love Women of all Shapes, Races, Etc.... but on the real Thick CHicks always get my head spun like the Wheel of fourtune. I think Full Figured Chicks are always happening. this show was cool again this year. America&Hollywood hardly ever acknowledge thickness on the big screen if ever. not every Woman was meant to be a Size 0-3. I've always dug the Ladies with some Meat on there Bones. Monique did a good job again this year. to me a show like this was must see tv& i watch every year.

10 years of the WNBA, Congradulations

so tonight I'm watching the WNBA All Star game&they are honoring the Women who have made a great impact on the game. Champions, MVP's, All-Stars. I enjoy the Women's Game quite a bit because I see alot of team ball. there might not be alot of dunks,but in terms of playing fundemental basketball I enjoy that element of the Ladies brand of Basketball playing. I enjoy the pacing&overall Athleticism. good Competition all the way around. this is a good All-Star game.

this was a great World Cup this year&yesterday the two final teams fought for the cup. there was drama on the field with Penalty kicks. I don't like the Cup coming down to Penalty cups.but anyway it was a great game. now on the real I ain't big on Soccor,but this year was cool. I've always dug players,but never much on teams on the sport. but this was Fun. they were partying hard in Rome last night. France got a warm welcome back home. very memorable game&Battle during the whole Cup tournament. Congradulations to Both Teams for making this a very Memorable battle from start to finish.

today Kenneth Lay died of a Heart attack just a few months away from awaiting sentencing from takening alot of people's money from Enron. so now after a month&change from when he was found guilty in court&while he was on vacation he passed away today. many lives were affected by this Man&His Company's Greed which ended up costing so many people's there savings&in some cases there own lives.i don't know how much sorrow is felt from the famlies that lost there savings. Enron left a lasting impression of the Corperate CEO.

Larry Doby:Remembering the first Black American Leaguer

Larry Doby 59 years ago today became the First Black Major League Ball Player in the American league. he hasn't gotten his due as the Great Ball player he was. he came after Jackie Robinson&has been forgotten by quite a few people. He was elected into baseball's Hall of Fame&is pictured on the Wall in Cleveland's new Ball Park. it's great to remember the greats from the past especially when the color line is discussed. Larry Doby should be acknowledged for the Great player he was along with being just as important to Major League Baseball as Jackie Robinson was.

Shaquille O'Neal shut up critics&also sent a strong message to the Los Angeless Lakers,Kobe Bryant&others who doubted he could still Win. Dwayne Wade was unstoppable period. the whole Heat team played like a team&Won.

the NBA Draft:when did it become the Dirk Nowenski league? alot of 7 footers from overseas coming into the league as outside shooters. this NBA Draft was lackluster to me on a whole. quiet as it's kept one day I wouldn't be surprised that the NBA team with the best record will end up playing against a team overseas for the World title&the trip out thing is that alot of the NBA by then will have more foreign players as to USA Born.

Wimbledon:every 4th of july weekend means Tennis from England. Last year was great seeing Venus Williams win. but this year should be real interesting. this is suppose to be Andre Agasis last run as a player. stay tunned. I've always watched Wimbledon.

World Cup:it's been great. alot of action&adventures. looking forward to how everything all plays out. alot of flags though&Flopping which mirrors alot of what i see in the NBA. but I enjoy the Competition.
