I found this to be truly tacky&corny on David stern's part. telling Grown Men how to dress.Personally this was geared at Black Players because of the Influence of Hip-Hop Culture on Dressing.Throw-Back Jerseys,Sagging Jeans,Timberlands,Braids,doo-Rags&Caps wasn't what the Massa David Stern wanted to see on the sidelines. somehow He thinks what Cats elect to where through the Tunnel when they are coming through is gonna matter??not everybody is made to wear a Suit or be dressed like they just came back from a "GQ' Photo Shoot. the NBA needs to make sure the Quality of Play is up to Point&also make Teams More interesting on a whole.More Kids&Adults want to dress closer to Allen Iverson than what David Stern is wearing.always Politics involved.

I Don't Condone Mean-Spirited Comedians

i don't find Comedians that go beyond the duty of trying to be funny at the expense of another Human Being funny at all.every Entertainer&person can Be cracked on,but I think it's tacky&Cheap to Mess with someone that is dealing with something that is Serious. there is a fine line you just don't ever cross.you can crack on someone's Weave,laughter,being Corny,bad clothes or putting you to sleep with there lack of Talent,but to just pick on somebody's personal Business is just wrong as far as I'm concearned.

Fall Tv&still a Lack of Black Shows

funny how the fall tv preview line-up has come out&there still is a shortage of Black Lead shows. most are still in small roles or Comedy shows. not ever enough diversity on Tv for my tastes. all the Networks are still Pimping.from Fox,WB,UPN they are were starter up networks that at first had alot of Black Shows,but as time goes on they all scale back.UPN still has the most Black Shows on One Network,but they are still type-casting. I always know when Fall Arrives because while the Season changes the Color on the Tv screen is still seeing Black&White but just not together.

i'm not surprised to hear of a Athlete,Entertainer or a Black Man in General recieving Hate Mail for dating a White Woman. nothing shocks me,especially when it comes to Race&acceptance. hard to believe 10 years ago in Hip-Hop where it was East coast Versus West coast.Death Row Records,Bad Boy Records. the Passing of Eric"Eazy E" Wright&everything else in between. hard to believe all the crazyiness that went down a Decade ago. tonight VH1 is having there Honors show,but 10 years ago it seemed as if Hip-Hop was headed toward a very Ugly road with no hope in sight. there was alot of Great things happening in the Music,but there was alot of tension. it's a Good/Bad Situation:On one hand there were More Black CEO's handling there business&Having a Say.the downside is that there was a negative element that took alot of stuff personal&Kept Beefs going&going. so many things were at work.it's a trip looking back at all the events that took place then. there was Chart success,&more Main-Stream Acceptance that just kept on coming&coming.

Autumn/Fall has Begun

so how was your summer? I avoid saying the words Autumn/Fall because the Kid in me always wants Summer to continue on&on. looking outside seeing the Leaves all around me.now don't get me wrong Orange is my favorite color&seeing the Fall Orange leaves is a Beautiful thing to my eyes,but still I like to imagine Autumn/Fall as a Re-Mix to Summer. getting out my long sleeves&Sweaters out. the breeze feels good though.still it takes me a while to fully grasp that Summer is gone. summer all during my life has always flown by.get a rake&soem bags out it's that time of the year.

seeing the Tyra Banks show,which I can't watch for more than 10 minutes tops because it's all about the visual for me. She is the latest in a long line of Models who try to get into Acting,Music,Movies,Talk shows,Books,Etc...&just leave a even blanker stare than i started with.yes you are a Model but what can you do besides look good?? you think of Models sometimes the way your Parents use to say that Kids were to Be seen¬ Heard from so often. in the Model's cases it fits because well you just don't know what else they can do but Look a certain way.Cindy Crawford is a sexy chick but what else can she do but Model?and the List goes on.it goes the same way for Male Models:Tyson beckford is a Ground Breaker as a African-american Male Model,but seeing Him trying to play tough in a 50 cent video ain't that believable. you gotta stick to what you do best.

it's hard to believe how time has flown by&that Oprah Winfrey has been Dominating for so long on Network Tv. I respect her Drive&Longevity. Proud to see a Black Woman go to such Heights&Reach the level she has.I'm not as much of a fan of the show as I was back in the day,but I still keep an eye on Her.She looks good,but I still think she looks even better when She was thicker. Her Image has changed alot of the years. she has tackled alot of topics. her Book of the Month club is huge. I still say Her Landing Michael Jackson for a interview back in 1993 took her Career way over.that was Prime&peak time Oprah. She has given back to alot of People&Been truly Blessed to touch so many lives all over the World. truth is,there isn't anyone else like Her.She is in that Rare company of Phil Donihue,Johnny Carson,Jack Benny,Dick Clark&Bob Hope.that Mount Rushmore of Tv Talk show.

I'm a week late,but still thinking back to seeing a NasCar Race car Driver tossing His Helmet on a Running track at another Driver for doing some cheap tactics on the Road. never had I seen anything like that&I hope not to again,because that is a Dangerous road. all the drivers involved in this were fined&Points were taken off there running. it would be like if a someone got mad on a Highway&was standing in the Middle of a Highway.it was a Scary sight.NasCar has come a long way,but they still have there own way of doing things.

Teachers deserve more Respect&Money

My Aunt is a School teacher in St Louis,MO&She has two Grown Children. She is a Great Parent&also a Great Teacher.Her Students never forget Her. but She like so many other teachers over the past decade&change have had not only to be a Teacher but also a Parent as well at school,meanwhile they are also Parents at Home. everywhere year there is a threat of a School strike somewhere&why you ask? Because Teachers aren't given there due for the Impact they have on a child's life&Well being. it's a very tough Profession&like any other one there is alot of Politics involved&in some instances not the Best Qualified are getting the Jobs.a Classroom has turned into a Home in alot of Instances.gotta take better care of the Educators that are teaching the futures of Tommorow. I Believe Teachers should be fully Appreciated&told they are Leaders&they matter. the demands on them are a many,but the Respect,Pay&Acknowledgement is never given enough.it's time to say Thank you for Educating me&making a Better person.a Teacher can Be a Pipeline to endless Possiblitys&Beyond.

Jet Blue:that was scary

seeing the Jet Blue not landing was very scary. nobody knew what was gonna happen. it is a very Scary thought being up in the Air above not knowing what could happen.with everything happening in the World today it leaves a very unsure feeling about what is next. but thank god everybody touchdowned safely.

Hurricane Katrina is probably the most devastating thing that I have ever seen in America in the sense that it's going on&on without any help in sight. the Media wants to show Black People taking things,&call it Looting,but where is the food,Medical&Shelter for Familys out of there Homes&away from there Family Members?? I can't stand the Racist Media&there One sided portrayal.
